    Her sister's words as spoken by the murder victim tell such a sad story. The monster that killed her went on with his life like nothing happened but for Shelley's family everything fell apart. At least Shelley and her husband are together again. Condolences to her family in the US and Europe.

    Are we to assume that the photos in the postcards were taken by Shelley on that fateful day of her murder? Dark Curiosities: Could you do an episode on the bizarre disappearance of Margaret Ellen Fox? I'm not sure if you've already covered her case. She was a 14-year-old girl from Burlington, New Jersey who vanished on June 24, 1974 after applying to a (probably fake) newspaper advertisement for a local babysitting job. She supposedly got off a city bus to meet the person she'd be babysitting for, and was never seen again. Thank you for bringing these stories to light! The police have said they are holding back further info about the postcards. Given the age of the postcards, my guess is that the postcards maybe showed up somewhere like a jumble sale or an antiques shop with something written on them that was potentially linked to the case. But it's anybodys guess.

    • @JoliNatural
      @JoliNatural 5 месяцев назад +1

      It could be that Shelley purchased them and was seen writing on them, thus whomever harmed her may have taken them. Or at the very least anyone with those postcards might have been present that day and therefore a potential witness (or murderer).

    • @zeddeka
      @zeddeka 3 месяца назад +3

      @@JoliNatural apparently the police said the postcards were made "in the 80s *OR* 90s" which seems to imply that they don't know exactly when they were made, and it's very possible that they weren't made until after the murder. So that seems to indicate that Shelley wasn't seen with them. If she had, they would have had a more specific date, and ruled out the 1990s.

    • @JoliNatural
      @JoliNatural 3 месяца назад

      @@zeddeka Your theory makes sense then, that perhaps the postcards showed up with Shelley's writing on them and now police want to know of anyone who might have been around at the time of purchase. Might thoughts when I heard mention of the postcards is they're a clue in some way yet police don't want to say how because that information getting out could jeopardize the case.

    This is a sad story, particularly when listening to the sister's voicing of what the victim, Shelly, had missed out on, in what was to be important milestones of her life. All of those events of her family's lives that she would have been there for, that were stolen from them all beginning with the taking of Shelly's life.
    My only concern with this video is that this murder is said to be "peculiar", when, sadly, it is not. This type of crime is all too common, and the only thing left to find is what she did in thee moments when she disappeared, and who killed her. There are thousands of cases like this one. To be truly peculiar, it needs to have an outstanding occurrence of some kind, like the victim being found in a posed manner or something different, however subtle or blatant it may be. The title for this video is a bit of a clickbait, I think.
    Still, my condolences to the family and friends of this poor woman. She deserved to have a long and productive, happy life, but she was robbed of that and at such an early age. The world lost a talented and skilled artist and designer the day she left. I hope those who loved her find peace, knowing that she's with God, the Universe, whatever the name you choose for the Creator. May they find the comfort they need.
