That was quite the job!! Do the move now while you're still young and able!! You can even do farm sitting or dog sitting while people are on vacation and do that all over the place. One of those things I'd for sure do if I was younger and healthier. So many amazing adventures all over!

Just found your channel. I do not usually watch van life in USA and Canada, it is quite different to UK and Europe, but I do like your style, low budget vanlife.

Hi to you both. Great job on the bunk restoration, both a messy job and a lot of work. On another subject the cross border protocols for getting dogs into the USA are changing. Much more strict and a bit of a pain . Look into the new requirements before you are ready to approach the border please to avoid a "snaffu" . The new cup is really nice. Esther's pottery skills are getting better and better! Million dollar views and good food and drink are one of the big things that make van live so attractive. Keep embracing your diverse skills in the arts. It might not make you rich but you will always have pieces to share. As a creative you will always have something to show and share over time. Few working artists say... what do I have to show for my time? They cook, write, film, paint, draw, photograph, do sculpture, sing, dance and perform. And, some get rich doing the creative things that they love doing! Keep doing your thing! :)

Haha it’s crazy, we think about quartzite almost on a daily basis. If one month in the desert can bring so much peace, we want to find out what 6 months could do. There's a guy on RUclips called Static Campervan. He lives in a Ram Promaster City. He has a roof vent fan AND a floor vent fan. He claims it gives him excellent air flow and no mold.
Nice reno! I was in Quartzsite last winter (from Ontario) and while its free to park out in the desert the grocery prices were absurd. I could also only take the desert in 3-5 day intervals before moving to other areas with more to see and do. I'll be doing Florida next winter instead.

LOL! Avocado toast... breaks the bank. I could think of worst ways to spend money. Living well with modest means sounds like a house paid for in the future content project to me. People are moving to Thailand, the Philippines and Portugal because it's very affordable.
Not trying to scare you but I had that happen to me once and I just thought eh.. it'll heal. And I found myself in the emergency room a month later with about 8 different people examining my balls. When I land on them, there is a cord inside there that wrapped around one of them and was cutting off all circulation. And the rest of the story is not fun! If it stays that way for over a week.. better get it looked at 😆
You are helping others who have similar issues with their RV's. Great for sharing your experience in renovating the ceiling and the falls, updating the insulation as well. BTW, can I buy some of the pottery ? if so, where can I meet to pick up ? let me know if there is a contact email or number ?

For controling the moisture under your mattress, put some slats underneath or lattice. It allows airflow. Hope you fnd a solution.

We ended up going for some kind of wood with a smooth white finish. Looked into other options but this seemed the nicest finish and budget friendly.
