There is nothing worse than an abuser turning it around on you, making out that you’re the problem. It’s so emotionally draining to have to keep defending yourself, it tears you down so much and makes you feel like you’re going crazy. My heart breaks for him. She is pure evil. He isn’t perfect BUT there only so much one can take. She definitely goes on and on and on and on at him to get a reaction and then records. Extremely manipulative and calculating. So yeah, it's weird thing to say, but it still could have been a figure of speech. Deep not always express himself literally. I guess we'll never find out what actually happened.
@@GiltleyRage Yes, but if you break your leg there’s a neutral go to phrase for that - “i broke my leg”. But there’s no neutral phrase for chopping of your finger tip. Also the man seemed like somebody who wants to avoid confrontation and he seems like somebody who wants to work things out. Even if he got pulled into an argument by her i don’t think he would say “remember when you chopped off my finger”. First of all if she threw something at him or pushed him it would still not be accurate to say “remember when you chopped of my finger”. The accurate thing to say would be “remember when i chopped of my finger because of you.” But as already mentioned he wouldn’t initiate something like that because this would make her aggressive and she could respond with something like “it’s not my fault when you’re that clumsy”.

But he said it also very casually, and would probably go with it in the court. I dont know, maybe he did cut it off himself and is now lying or mixing the facts because of drugs, alcohol and meltdown.

That is the job of a lawyer though. It is practically illegal for Heard's lawyers to not be conniving and partial to Amber's opinion at all times. If they were to act any differently, it would be grounds for an appeal (unfair trial) by Amber - assuming she loses in that situation.
When it is Heard's turn to testify and be cross-examined, we'll hear many things from her that attempts to further implicate Johnny in violent crimes against herself and himself. Once cross-examination is underway, Johnny's team will break Amber down similar to how Heard's team is breaking him down.

@@Tre-vor I imagine he must have repeatedly advised her to take a deal with the plaintiff. But if she's anything like what I imagine she's like, she would keep telling her lawyer 'no' on that. She wouldn't want to give an inch. At that point, if I understand the law right, the lawyer has no choice but to make the most of it. But you can't make much 'most' of a case this obviously in favor of the plaintiff.

It's not an admission of actually doing it oneself, it's a shortcut of language. I might refer to a sports injury as, for example, "the game I did my knee", though it was the reckless tackle of my opponent, not "the game the opponent made a bad tackle and did my knee." I got attacked by my crazy neighbor one day and in the ensuing struggle, initiated by him, my shoulder was dislocated. I often refer to that incident as "the time I dislocated my shoulder", not "the time my neighbor dislocated my shoulder", though it was clearly the actions of my neighbor that caused it. We all speak like this. Anyone with common sense and ANY experience with injuries and/or violence will sometime speak like this. Heard's lawyers are stretching for something, hopefully the jurors are smart enough to see through it. Her lawyers, like Heard herself, just manipulating the truth. Zero credibility. I Know most people watching this recognize Heard as someone they know personally. If you don't, you've lived a charmed life not to have met such a person. If you deny she's a toxic, abusive, most likely borderline personality, then I'd love to hear why you think so.
You’re absolutely right, I say when I dislocated my shoulder but I didn’t literally grab my arm and yank it out the socket. I got injured falling off a building it’s impact upon the surface is what caused it to be dislocated but I can’t say that casually in a conversation🤷🏻♂️

i cannot even comprehend the amount of emotional pain a person has to go through in order to paint bad memories in blood with an injured finger. the pain bieng so overwhelming that physical pain of the injury stops bothering him. Its just so extreme for me to comprehend. the tip of the finger is a very sensitive part, i once got my finger caught in the car door and it wasnt that hard of an impact, the car door has rubber padding but still i was screaming with pain. And jhonny after getting his fingered totally smashed goes on to write/paint with it makes me wonder the emotional pain he might have been sufferring
As someone who has avulsed the tip of my middle off I can say that it didn’t hurt. I think there is a point of severe injuries where your brain and body just shuts out pain. I had to heal mine with secondary intention and it was a very weird 7 months. Somehow the thing filled in and looks normal almost… although I have no finger print and everything has a numb tinge when I touch stuff.

I really thought he said “the day you chopped my finger off” she should have been more clearer when she constantly recorded him. I want to mention that from listening to this case, it sounds like Amber was kind of "feeding" the alcohol and drugs to him. Obviously he has a problem, but she was making it worse by offering it to him. It seems like it was part of her plan.

I’ve been watching this trial. I’m getting a feeling that Amber had this all planned out. She wanted to get more recognition. She had an opportunity to get Johnny and she took him for all he was worth in order for her to become more well known. She encouraged and helped with him continuing on his addiction and then turned that around on him to make him look bad. Trying to paint him with this brush as an addict who was capable of anything. Meanwhile tearing him piece by piece till there was hardly anything left of him. She needs serious help.

To be honest for him to chop his own finger off and then paint some stuff with his blood would be psychotic but at least consistent behavior. People do that. Reacting this way to injury inflicted by someone else seems to be less likely, not that it couldn't happen. I don't know, it's basically his word against her as the evidence is inconclusive ("I chopped my finger of" might have referred to the accident, more like "I lost my finger").

That being said, I can see him being very very drugged out and maybe doing something psychotic like that. What makes me lean back toward Johnny though is a clip of him showing his finger to his childhood friend Dakota and you can read his lips saying “amber did this”. He likely didn’t even know he was being recorded it was a while before the trial even. Idk it’s just difficult to tell who’s lying here because we have to remember Johnny is a very charming personality (that kinda reminds of a psychopath). I’m not calling him a psychopath, I’m just saying I see some of the traits in him, he just always has the perfect witty response and facial expression for any situation, and people who can put on a 24/7 charmed personality make me a little suspicious.

When you say for example "I broke my leg" you don't mean you broke it yourself on purpose. Amber's lawyers are just trying (in vain) to turn Johnny's words against him and make him look like a bad person. But we know the truth.
Idk if someone broke my leg I probably would immediately blame it on that person when asked, a 911 call from me in that situation would be either "help my legs broken go to whever" or "this person just broke my leg send help to whever". Yes in an accident you might say I broke my leg, but JDs not saying it was an accident he's saying she did it. Now his defense that he didn't want her to get in trouble is believable though, but they then have the audio of him saying he did it in private to her, his defense against that is that he was placating her which is also believable.
