Considering the axles are still factory the 28" tire size is not a bad decision. My only concern would be the throttle needed to get over obstacles a larger tire would simply crawl over. The RS1 turns into a rock bouncer rather then a crawler :) Still very interested to see this in action!
Nice build but I have to disagree on the tires. The stock maxxis 29 inch tires have been great for me. From open desert to rock crawling out at the hammer trails they just work great. The best thing about them is you can find brand new sets for cheap all day on Craigslist.
Hmm... we’re strange set up for tires... ground clearance this os what you will look for ... for torque- can do clutch kit... but still very good overall work !

These RS1’s are pretty slick, wish I could get one someday! For now it’s all about the family wagon.

Trailing Arn Guards seems super thin to be 0.25" thick, you are sure it's not 0.125"?
How do those hmw skid plates hold up in sub -20 celsius temperatures?
