  • In this video i show you how to replace the expansion valve on a Mazda CX-7 without removing the entire dash. dash removal is a serious pain in the butt and this way is super simple. the hardest part of all of this is the vent from your blower motor. the piece that holds the blower motor resistor. If you are not careful you will break the tabs so please take your time. other than that this is the easiest possible way i know to do it. Glad I was able to help. Ya this is hard to find info on and the repair manual tells you to pull the entire dash. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!

So simple. I watched a video where the whole dash had to be removed. That looked a nightmare for sure. Your method looks so simple compared. 👍

Great video! I do think a video on how to refill with the standard gauges one day would be good!

Just wondering what was the issue that you needed to replace the expansion valve? I am about to drop a compressor in a cx-7, It is very noisy and hi side pressure sky rockets to 500. Could not see any metal in the system.

Ya my high side was shooting up too high indicating a clogged expansion valve. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!

The two lines you see are the high pressure and low pressure lines. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
