$50 a pop for those connectors is highway robery. Do they exist on any harness in any vehicle naturally that I can cut out at a yard?
It really is! But there was a comment I just replied to that had said the years and makes of ones that would work. I havnt verified but it’s worth a shot at a local pull a parts. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!
Yep mine just popped on me this morning I nearly punched myself in the face.
Oof that would be a crappy way to start the day haha. Hope the video helps. Thanks for watching!
Where did you purchase the switch?
I believe I got this one from Amazon maybe rock auto. Sorry it’s been a while. Thanks for watching!
You can get the connectors from a 2002 - 2005 Explorer steering wheel or a 2004 - 2008 F-150 steering wheel at a pick and pull type wrecking yard. I paid about $4 vs $30 to $75 online. Just make sure they have enough pins for your setup. You need two pins if your just using the audio controls, four if your adding a stock radio with sync.
Hey thanks for letting everyone know! That’s some really good info for people that want to save some money. Thanks for watching!
I’m having the same surging problem but I’m getting the code for the “Swirl Control valve” would it still be worth it to change it? It’s P1131 & P1130
So the swirl control valve is a different part but it’s pretty easy to get to on those cars. I would change it out first because it could be that as well. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
@@JunkyardJunkie okay, I also have another question, so one of the codes is for the actual swirl control valve the other is for the” swirl control valve solenoid valve” which should I replace? I will say I realized my swirl control valve was not plugged in & so I plugged it in but it’s still doing the same thing. I also read there’s a “switch” sensor too. Any idea where I should start?
Hey i have this problem in a 2011 nissan quest where i was parking and i was pressing on the accelerator and it wasnt accerlerating also in reverse it has the same problem and i turned it off and it didnt start back up and i used a jumper pack and it started but then the abs and stability control light came on and i also had no power steering. I turned it off, and now it doesn't start with the jumper pack. I was wondering if you know what the problem is
I’m going to be honest with you that sounds like more diag will defiantly be needed. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!
@JunkyardJunkie found the problem and turns out it was a bad alternator and the battery was running out.
Great video i had changed passenger side iwe because of noise and the noise switched to driver side after changing it and watching this video did vacuum test and found line that went directly into iwe on passenger side was expanded enough to lose vacuum so i clipped half an inch off and good as new
Well, how much fluid did it end up taking? I only bought 3 quarts of royal purple. I’m wondering if I’ll have enough
I wish I could remember of hand but I believe it was 4. Best of luck! Thanks for watching!
Mechanic is quoting me over 6k to fix the infamous dodge tick, and charging me another $900 bucks just to take it apart. I'm super happy to have found your video. I think I'm going to attempt the rocker arm replacement myself.
Ya they can get absolutely absurd on pricing. 6k is ridiculous. Remember if I can do it you can do it. Best of luck and let me know how it goes. Thanks for watching!
You helped me a ton! Thanks, man!
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching!
this worked like a charm. thank so much! 🎉👍🇺🇸💪
Haha good to hear. Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
How many miles were on this car? I just bought mine at 128K have 130k on currently. I don’t know if the tr3650 was serviced.
It had a decent amount miles it was 200k plus I believe. At 130k I would do a smell and visual check it should be fine to change. But always give it a small check before hand. Most cars and trucks you can still change it even in the 200k-300k unless it’s a dodge 😂. Thanks for watching!
you're the man!!
Haha glad I could help! Thanks for watching!

My dad kept saying he was gonna help me for the last 3 weeks till I found your video @ 19 I was able to change it with your video thank you bro 💯
That’s awesome bro! Good job I’m sorry your dad didn’t help out. but hey feel proud of your own accomplishments! Thanks for watching!
i’m hearing a popping noise from my left side then sometimes on the right but when i’m in 2wd my cv axles spin i think it might be the vacuum check valve and i’m replacing both of my hub actuators need help plz
and when i put it in 4 high i don’t hear no clicking noise only hear it when i go too 4 low and back too 2 wheel drive
So it does sound like you’re having issues in the system. follow along with the video and diagnose it this way you don’t waste money on parts you don’t need. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
I did the third key no problem it starts the car, but the lock unlock buttons dont work how can we program that
Glad I could help! For the rempte follow my other video: How to program key fob (05-14 Ford Mustang) ruclips.net/video/UtitFLSuJpA/видео.html Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
It depends on which way the belt turns. Yours is running on the bottom side of the pulley first. Our blades are facing the same way but the belt runs on the top of the pulley first . Ford f250 power stroke 7.3 liter.
Thanks for another way to look at it
Excellent tutorial!
Thanks! Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
Thank you bro
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching!
intake pasher was not lined with exhaust during chain installation or i mistaken?
It was I go on close to show that it was. Plus it was in line after the revolutions as well. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
You showed everything but how to put the front piece in
Glad I could help. It was getting stormy so I wasn’t able to put it all back together on film. But you should be able to get it all back together going in reverse order. Thanks for watching!
Helpful video. Thanks. You need to remove the splash plate under the engine before jacking it up. That requires you to get under the car.
That’s true this car didn’t have it on. Thanks for watching!
Deepwell ratchets are necessary for the first two bolts correct? Is there a way around it?
You could also use a ratcheting wrench. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Funny k series is one of the best Honda motors ever made.
And see that’s what I’ve always been told. I know it’s super popular to swap them into plenty of cars with a ton of tune ability. But, I don’t know what’s going on around me I see so many go bad and wind up not having compression so idk haha. Thanks for watching!
Hi great video but im curious does this work on the 2010 Ford F-150 svt raptor 6.2 and if not then which one would you recommend?
That’s what I’m curious about too!!!
Same model
So good news bad news. Unfortunately I don’t think so. But, good news is I have made two different videos that will work on yours. Love ur Video!! Thank U!!❤❤ Easy 2 follow n Understand!!😁YaY
Glad I was able to help! Thanks for watching!
So, my "check 4x4" and wrench came on this morning as my truck was sitting the parking lot idling. Hadn't tried to shift to 4wd or anything. Also i have no DTC for this. Any ideas? I'll also add that when i go to switch from 2H to 4H/L nothing changes on the dash. I also cannot engage the rear Diff Lock.
This could be your issue. I would give it a try first it just hasn’t happened enough yet to trip a code I bet. But it may need more diagnosing. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Thank you man 🙏 ❤❤❤
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching!
Any clue how to change the lights behind the AC/fan/climate knobs?
Not sure but if you take it out you’ll see if it has bulbs. If not it may have small SMD lights that have to be resoldered. But most use light bulbs. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
The climate controls have 4 bulbs. #74 worked for mine. You have to take out the glove box, center console, vents and radio…and then part of the controls. Paul in Perth made a good dashboard video. Then I made one, too.
Thank you Junkyard Junkie ! DrDonnie from FL, I watched your and it was spot on. It worked and saved me a $75 diagnostic fee. Have a blessed day
Glad I was able to help. Thanks for watching!
Maybe I'm misunderstanding, forgive me if i am, but this does not work on a 2010 xlt, right? Or does it?
That’s correct this way won’t work. But if you look on my channel you’ll see a video for a bi directional option that works and is a much better upgrade. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Great content
Thanks a lot of time went into it. Glad I was able to help. Thanks for watching!
Since they are Torque to you bolt, do you replace them?
Yes torque to yield bolts always get replaced. Never reuse them. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
So does the engine has a timing chain and not a timing belt?
It has a timing chain. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
So you mean to say it works on some 12th gens, 12th gens or 09-14
As I said in the video it works on xlt and above. If you want one that will work with any I have a video to a bidirectional remote start that would work. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Thanks!
Thank you! I really appreciate it!!!
Hi, there was not a thanks button on the steering wheel retro vid, but I improvised.
Haha very smart! Not sure why there wasn’t one on that video. Enjoy that nice new steering wheel!
Fantastic, can you tell me how to donate? I couldn't have done this without your video!
I’m glad I was able to help! Donations are always appreciated but please don’t feel pressured too. If you do though there is a thanks button under the video near the like buttons. Thanks for watching!
2020 F150 here: I have replaced the solenoid and have verified vacuum at the IWE’s with a hand pump. They hold 24-25lbs of mercury fine. The issue I have is two parts. The solenoid vacuum lines that hook into the solenoid are only pulling 15lbs of Vacuum. If I leave the bottom solenoid line on and pull the upper solenoid line off there is vacuum on the line pulled off but nothing through the solenoid. If I’m understanding this correctly the solenoid upper port is supposed to be pulling in vacuum? 2nd issue is neither vacuum line at the hubs will hold any vacuum with a vacuum tool. Is it odd to have both lines not holding any vacuum?
Hey sorry for the late response. But so your IWE’s are fine. Now then yes line in the middle is what send vacuum down to the hubs. If there’s no vacuum there check the bottom hose and make sure there is vacuum there. If there is then you will need to replace the solenoid itself. Also in the video I show to switch from 2wd to 4wd and you should hear the solenoid click. (Clicking doesn’t mean it’s good but is usually a good indicator) so first do the step above and see where we are at. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
I don’t understand what the purpose of that green ford wire connector thing. Is it for the cruise control to work? Or for the audio controls?
It’s a ground. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
What was the tool used for the torque sequence?
Alldata service manual. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Torque wrench. Thanks anyway
Great video. You saved me money. My shifter cable kept popping out of D to N. Just needed a little lube and your vid showed me how.
Glad I was able to help! Thanks for watching!
Thank you !! Good video 🇺🇸
Thanks! Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
Now Im pretty sure I can do it in one day or two, this vid is truly helpful!! Btw do u know where can I buy it?
If I can do it you can do it! I’m glad I was able to help you though! Best of luck and let me know how it goes. I buy mine from American muscle usually. Thanks for watching!
Question what year won't work on my 2007 gt it doesn't matter if the buttons are not working I just want the Coolest steering wheel on
So any will work and be able to use cruise control. If you want radio functions you’ll want one that looks like mine. So if you want to just cosmetic then any will work. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
@@JunkyardJunkie appreciate it the info 👍👍👌🙌
This is EXACTLY what my 2015 Fusion is doing and it has the same codes. 3 left front speed system and one for the right so I was confused. THANK YOU!
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching!
r u fr about the recall ik there was one
Yes it’s effected an absurd amount of cars form the 90’s all the way up till around 2018 I believe. Ford will have someone come to your house for free to replace the airbags. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
@@JunkyardJunkie appreciate the time out of day to help me and leave the comment💪 I’ll check the vin number and see if someone did the recall already🤯 I knew it was a isssue but I didn’t expect it to be something like that that could get you working on it not expecting
My brother over tightened the bolt and broke it on his VTC solenoid when he was replacing it , rookie mistake know i have to remove the engine to take it and have the bolt extracted 😂 and put it back in when it’s done 😅 I appreciate you taking time to edit this video 🫡
Oof ya now that is rough! Good luck! Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
How about warming the oil up???
The repair manual doesn’t say that it’s needed. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Ευχαριστώ πολύ για το βίντεο. Θα προσπαθήσω στο δικό μου που δεν είναι αυτόματο και θα επανέλθω.
Удачи. Дайте мне знать, как идут дела. Спасибо за просмотр!
good afternoon, sorry, I have a 2006 mustang and I'm having a hard time, the glass fell off and now the roof doesn't close 100%, it takes about 3 cm to get there, the levers near the windshield, which could be the tensioner, it won't let it. get to the end or what would be the problem I hope you can help me since I haven't used my car for quite some time because no one in my city changes the hood.
Did you put the new one on already? It should be hard to pull down the first time putting it on. You leave it locked down for about a week in the sun and it’ll become easier. Now if it’s too tight you may have to pull it back off and give some slack. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
