Very interesting case there. Kinda reminds me of the Hughes Apache attack helicopter. A case like like that is a headturner for sure, and should be offered in custom colors or offered in bare metal so it could be airbrushed in our choice of colorscheme, ourselves. Nice job to the mind that thought this case up.
Cases like these require more up keep for the amount of air coming and going. It's ideal in an office type setting where there are no open windows. I clean mine once a month (which is excessive cause people will normally clean their pc every 4 to 6 months), which is good cause I can keep on eye on things and make sure it's running smoothly. I don't mind the monthly maintenance and upkeep as being a mechanic, it's a force of habit lol. Just wanted to throw my two cents in.
So I ordered my next build in this case, the problem I'm having is find an affordable desk thats 30 inches deep so this case can fit on top of front to back, most gaming desk under $200 are only 23 to 28 inches deep. A case like this isn't meant to go on the floor, and would also in-danger it of getting pissed on by my dog. As beautiful as I'm sure it will be i'm regretting ordering this case for that reason. You want this up high to display it, but its just slightly larger than most current solutions. So unless you plan to game on the kitchen island, might be best to avoid. Also its 50lb empty, so add all the parts in and trying to find a desk that can support the weight adds another factor. I'm still excited about getting it, but its made planning the room setup very difficult, and Thermaltake doesn't really offer a solution other than a $1k desk.
When you're 19-20 years old, you look at this the same way I used to look at the cars in fast and furious 1, lights, colors...oo woah dude, that looks sick! When you're 30 you look at that and you just facepalm thinking wtf is that. Age comes with wisdom and that thing is a nice dust cage that not only collects dirt but also throws it back at you. Trust me, 2 months after you buy it you'll regret it when it comes to cleaning it. Plus open cases are noisy af so good luck with that.
I bought this without looking very close because other limited components were in stock. Now I am getting my components housed in this absolute monster. D=
I'm over 30 and i couldn't disagree more. The older i get, the less i care what anyone else thinks. I live once. I might as well live it how i want to.
open air cases keep components so much cooler. source: i didn't install one of my side panels on my pc over 10 years ago and it's still running at full capacity. i can still game easily while having multiple programs open with no heating problems. you just need to clean it once every few months
It’s practical in its own way. I’d say 20 year olds have your mindset more often because they have a PC like it’s a console. They just want to get on it and not do maintenance as often. That’s why a majority of younger people get prebuilts. Having an open air like this to work on and for the modulation needed during VFX work is perfect. Cleaning dust even every few days is a warm welcome over most cases. It’s a very specific scenario but a push and pull. In my eyes for work it’s like the perfect middle ground of having a server. I can change drives way faster. Swap my GPU’s around depending on the job and all that.
Modern cases tend to be early 21st century in design. Square, transparent. - Someone who’s had a new gaming system every two years since the early 90s.
That’s the whole point of the case. Using PC’s for taxing work like VFX and CGI is only harder when you have filters in the way making your PC a furnace and blocking flow. The dust is a trade off.
@@Orokovet No, the implementation needs to be good. There are plenty of cases on the market that have good dust filtration and the difference between the temps that they provide is within 2 degrees compared to no dust filter competitors, Fractal Design and Corsair being one of them. I myself have a PC that I use for VFX and CGI (you can check them on my channel as well if you doubt) and I have a Meshify C, this particular case has a really thick front filter which is why the airflow kind of suffers but that's not the case with the newer Meshify 2 that has a much more breathable air filter.
@@scale...3d I mean it’s a decent point. When it’s about closed cases Corsair is good with breathability. To me it’s not just about heat though. For my work I have 3 GPU’s and no standard cases I’ve had or seen work well with that. Especially with changing my drives often. I’d rather clean some dust every few days than to just leave it be and have to worry about storage and clutter
What I liked the most was the jumping at the end... that was my like button for the video...
As a military vet who was a helicopter mech I neeeeeed this!!!!

Whenever I buy something new and expensive, something newer just got release 😑
Literally restoring and modernizing a surplus Apache simulator cockpit. Yep this case will be perfect.

Everything in that office is big😏
Just Ordered this for my First Build. Yes I am Crazy and I am super excited to start my build.

How the hell do you change the fans & stop that thing from collecting dust?

A bit too over the top for me.
🇨🇱....????
And the dust will cover everything in a week or two😂😂
the great rip off case .. this is like 2 years old design !!!!!

Let's face it together, it's an ugly case.
i thought it was a dishwashwer at first 💀
Worst case, no dust filtration.
this is open air case dude
Not a good case for dusty environments .
