Doing m+ I often find myself in the following situation that leaves me with doubt (one of the reasons that made it very difficult for me to play elemental in m+): I have 2 LB charges, full maelstorm (or almost full) and 2 stormkeeper charges. What to do in this situation? Do I use LB to reduce PW's CD, do I use earthquake to not keep maelstorm full or do I use SK's charges? I often let SK charges pass, for example. How i miss storm build :,)
you should be spending your maelstrom and not be wasting stormkeeper charges. if you can, try to use stormkeeper charges with PotM/MotE/SoP but never waste it and basically press it on cd unless you know you need it for something.
lava burst is just a generator and spending allows us to use it more so you should be trying to be as efficient with your maelstrom usage as you can. Theres a lot of situations where youll overcap but you shouldnt be wasting any respurces intentionally.
Can they please please please do something about our aoe ?? 😭 Make pridominal wave have a splash effect and dot everything it hits up with fs.
Can't complain about raids, our st sustain dps is godlike and very little hard casting
if you primordial wave with SoP active, you will instantly get SoP again from the elemental blast it generates and can flame shock to get 4 flame shocks in 2 globals + liquid magma totem for capped flame shocks in aoe in 3 globals, if that helps.
buff earthquake, or make it do instant damage like earth shock i say
Watching this video just makes me hate Deeply Rooted Elements a whole lot more. Why don't they just give us Ascendance baseline...
Elemental feels amazing with 4 set. They just need buff lightning build woth storm ele for big pulls. Keep fire build for cleave/single target
ive seen some keys done with the lightning build and current 4 set that involve prim wave but im not totally sure how it works and havent had time to try it myself. im sure its probably decent or even good in fort keys but im not totally sure.
I believe the primary issue currently is not that Elemental (ELE) is inherently bad, but rather that certain aspects are disproportionately scaled for specific specs, as evident in the second boss encounter of this dungeon. In this scenario, a melee spec like Demon Hunter (DH) is outperforming Elemental, even in a situation that should favor the latter. While the fight is indeed good for Elemental, the initial burst damage from the DH is disproportionately high when compared to Elemental's output, despite having an additional target in cleave.
The complexity of the setup required for Elemental feels significantly more labor-intensive than what a DH needs to execute in the same fight.(talking about boss number 2) The Elemental playstyle is enjoyable, but the rewards for mastering every aspect of it seem to be lower than what Beast Mastery (BM), Mage, and DH specs achieve with relatively minimal effort by pressing just a few buttons. Strengthening Earthquake and Earth Shock could be a potential solution. Making Earthquake's damage more impactful and providing Earth Shock with a boost could address the current imbalance. Additionally, consider making Earthquake an instant source of damage. If the intention is to promote a Flame Shock meta, perhaps give it a chance to apply Flame Shock.
Idea: Lava fissures could occur alongside Earthquake, dealing additional fire damage and applying Flame Shock.
earthquake doing instant damage would be huge. i also think uncapping flame shock would go a long way. we can only have 6 out and its way too easy to cap flame shocks in aoe.
@@kymuu2931 flame shock cap is fine honestly, but they need to make it easy to spread, we shouldnt have to use a 1 minute cd just to do our basic dmg, lava bursting a target with flame shock should spread it to 5 other targets instantly just like how enhance works with lava lash and flame shock, maybe increase the cap to 8, then they need to just buff earthquake dmg, ele is so easy to balance aoe for just bc nerfing and buffing earthquake since its our only uncapped aoe
This leads me to the follow up qestion: does anybody have a weak aura that counts active flameshock?? Find it hard to keep track in stressfull situations?

the setup is not hard which is why uncapping flameshocks is an idea. i think people are not very good at using surge of power and liquid magma totem.
Man, elemental is feeling really bad. I'll wait till next expansion to see if it changes.
It's burst is terrible, it's damages really inconsistent, and all the work you do to make the damage is just underwhelming.
Maybe I'll give enhance a try. Wolves are cool
its damage is actually probably more consistent than most specs lol. but yeah, ele is definitely weak especially in aoe right now and has zero burst damage. enhance will continue to be the premier shaman dps spec until we get sweeping talent tree reworks or something.

@@kymuu2931 yeah enhance is pretty sloppy too. I feel like all 3 shaman specs need COMPLETE reworks, like complete redesign. Idk, enhabce feels like I'm using a bunch of filler ele abilities lol and they're forcing them to be useful.
Reso feels like it's stuck back in 2008, trying to work 2023. And ElE is just, sigh.....

oh sorry. its the wowhead bushfire build if you want to copy that. theyre out of date because the class tree was changed and reset talent strings. i do not use mountains will fall with fire aoe

Reading through the comments I am the only person who loves ele shaman right now. The playstyle is super fun and watching those lava bursts proc so often just makes me so happy. Obviously its not a meta spec so people dont like it, but I easily do 20 21keys and thats good enough for me
May I ask what ilvl? I am stuck with 460, and it‘s really hard to get into PUGs in 12+ … I have every M+ successfully finished in time on 12. But i get hardly invites for 12+, what makes it hard for me to evolve …
@@Poclain I used to not get invited to groups but what i do now is i swap my spec to enh when i queue for groups, they can see what spec you queu as. When i get invited i swap back to ele. It's not honest but it works, I run 20-21 keys

Honestly a burst CD and a raid buff would go a long way for Ele. Delete Ahnk or make it actually good as well.
He's not that far behind, I would be happy with that performance
ele damage is definitely okay in a raid setting but we lack critical utility and a raid buff. in m+ elementals performance is significantly worse than top specs and its damage profile is not super great either, we have almost zero ability to do burst damage which you really want in dungeons.
It looks better than it is here because we really only excel in single target and 2 bosses here have massive damage taken debuffs.
