I can’t even explain how thankful I am that you even added all the new character openings from back in vanilla. I almost had a heart attack from the nostalgia when I heard that memorable voice and remembered all the alts I had made back in the day listening to these openings. I’m only about 40 minutes in but I can only hope this video has every other little in game cutscene that I may have missed or forgotten and that you’ve added the new character dialogues each time they got changed with the expansions.

@26:30 I was never into warcraft or most RTS games, but when I saw the trailer for WoW and played it when it first released...I was hooked for over a year, easily getting to level 60 but explorng the whole of the world during vanilla. Takes me back! FOR THE FORSAKEN!!!!

This was like an actual movie! Just a six hour long one, I've been wanting to see a movie made out of the same animation and everything that they have in warfare so I enjoyed this quite a bit.

The Gods of Zul’Aman and Secrets of Ulduar might be my favorite trailers Blizzard ever did. There’s such a sense of danger and foreboding in them. It makes you feel like a real adventurer being called to arms when actually go there finally.

I remember watching it as a child, it seemed magical, though it's not less magical now.
Have loved and will love every step of this incredible universe and mindblowing game. Literally brings a tear to my eye, almost 20 years of WoW and more to come. It's unironically a core feature of my life and has given me some of the best times of my life. From the gates of Icecrown to the skies of the Dragon Isles, WoW is an absolute masterpiece.

If you did this.. you just made day. Trying to catch up on the lore since I end up off and on game for years at a time before this new ex-pac.. when I come back I end up just following my guildmates like death is on my heels as they drag me through everything I missed, so much of the storyline has been lost on me sadly.

I’m in the same boat! I played heavily from WOTLK to mid Cata and just recently got back into it. Went to fly to the Undercity and about had a damn heart attack.

These six hours have been a true representation of life. What's good, what's bad? I am writing this at the point Gul'dan gets banished. And allthough i resent his actions. I can relate to where he is coming from. The strenght in this whole universe is that there is no telling what is good and what is bad. Entities that look bad are good and vice versa. Just as in life. The struggle of a individual vs the shortcomings that come with complete power. Live and let live. Stuff to think about.

I've only played BfA and want to get into the lore more, especially to prepare for Shadowlands. This looks perfect.
There are better ways to "catch-up" without losing any context. We have a mandatory levels of good video from platinum wow's 20 minutes of everything you need to know for shadowlands + bfa explained (and incredibly edited video). Fastest way is to read the three chronical books. Warcraft is too vastly covered in books, comics, films, audio-dramas, music, card games (digital and physical), chronicles and then finally the game(which focuses more on the world, rather than the characters, warcraft 3 and the other paper sources lean towards characters far more than wow, but wow has a different goal in heart. Chronicles is the bible, it covers from the "greek mythology" creation with titans to which faction killed which boss in the 3rd chronicle.
@@hristopavlov298 Ya, I didn't end up watching this, but a couple of good videos on the story in Warcraft games (and some background) to see how the story began as it was being told back then. Helped me get the basics on most major characters and topics, really helpful. And now I might watch videos on specific character stories or lore elements. The 20 min video you mentioned was suggested by YT and is in the watchlist. Not sure I have the time for books atm although I trust books as usual would be the best source.

I am trying hard to learn about world of warcraft lore and am watching this video. The game itself does not do a good job for people who want to experience the story so I need to look up so much stuff elswhere to get even a grasp about the cronological order of things ;A; Thank you for this video, I understand a bit more stuff although of course I miss stuff still because I didn't get to play this stuff yet and things not in the cinematics or cutscenes also make the story whole. Wish there was an in-game option to show things in order.
