Made this RT several times while stationed on Kaneohe Bay. Headed back to LIH in a few weeks for vacation, were you by chance in E+ seats? Can't wait to be back!
I always loved flying back into HNL from leave. The flights to KOA and LIH are just as beautiful and amazing to see an island in its entirety. We're in economy plus (E+) for our upcoming flight, but view point toward engine is pretty close. Glad you had a great flight and visit! Thanks again for posting.

26L approaches are rare at HNL. Glad you caught it on video!

It was 26L (reef runway). There is no runway 21 at HNL. They use runways 26 and 22 anytime there are Kona winds.

id be so mad I would miss the long approach west with a sharp bank into the airport
