  • #ad #commandbrand #3MCLAW We got our walls repainted! I've always imagined our walls to be a light creamy beige that still leans white. Now you know I'm constantly restyling spaces in our home and one of things I always use to keep our walls fresh and damage free is by using Command ™ Picture Hanging Strips. In the video we styled a vignette with the picture hanging strips as well as the @3MCorporate CLAW™ Drywall Picture Hanger.

I honestly love the fireplace, personally I wouldn't change it. I would incorporate the same colour throughout the room, instead of fighting it 😅 and I think it works very well with your newly found love for art deco. Also, really happy to have you back on RUclips, your home is so inspiring ❤️

The tree trimmers did a good job. Needs a year to grow. They did a balanced job, it's going to initially look bare, but they're in good condition and will fill out again. You'll be amazed at how nice they'll look. It's better for the health of the tree.

Any format is fine with me, as long as you are in it, Arvin. 😃 I do like the finish on your fireplace. Sometimes I get surprised when I work WITH something, instead of against it, and then it looks so good, so intentional. However, it is your house, and if your vision is taking you somewhere else, that is good too. ❤

Definitely love the fireplace as is. Just delicious. And I love the couch color in the first segment as is. The trees are perfect now that they are trimmed. The trees will thrive because they have been given air between their leaves and branches. You don’t have to do fertilizing. Just let them be. They are gorgeous. Roofs are such a “no fun” job, but always such a relief when done! What I love about your home is the architecture and the windows and setting. Do you like bringing green into your home to bring the gorgeous greens from trees and plants inside? I love greenery in any form that suits. Because your setting is so luscious!

  • @BertoTweets
    @BertoTweets 8 дней назад +4

I know you don’t like it but I *love* the fireplace. It’s modern and abstract in its asymmetrical shape which you really don’t see with fireplaces. I’d even lean in further and get like a patina’d metal/bronze finish on it. I think it makes the space cozy with what is otherwise a TON of windows and open space (and not a ton of wall space).
Have you considered putting a frame (art) on it? Like something light-colored or even a a very cool abstract shaped mirror or one of those half ball mirrors I think would lighten it up a bit. Because of its shape and size there’s really no finish I think that will make you see past the size outside of like plaster or something but then that too will be flat and matte. The ivory of the living room sofa doesn’t bother me so much. I like that it isn’t so bold, so that you can be uninhibited with your choice for the side chairs.
The TV room sofa- I agree. The white is harsh.
On the trees- they’re sort of going to keep growing in that shape if you’ve taken out a lot of the lower branches. That’s generally what people want to happen but I see what you’re saying about the privacy. You’ll want to cut from the tops to encourage them to get fuller

Arvin, your house is coming along. I'd really like to see some large greenery indoors. You may be avoiding plants due to the maintenance. Im the worst when it comes to caring for plants. But I finally decided to make plants more of a priority in my home and cant say enough how it really improves the look and feel of my home. Good energy 😌

    • @user-nr1ty6sr5r

Arvin, For the fireplace, given your vision and preferences regarding wanting the space be fairly neutral, I would get rid of the two odd side sections so you have straight lines top to bottom, finish the surface to match the walls and attach a simple mantel made of wood with similar wood tone as the ceiling, etc. This will allow the fireplace to become less overwhelming. Right now it steals the show... and not in a good way. Neutralize that bad boy!

You are always changing and evolving and so it makes sense that your videos should change as you do instead of being stuck in one style. What I particularly like about this video is how you evaluate the small improvements to push the space....like inserting some reflective elements and showing how with the small box you chose. Moving to different rooms and showing the impact of hanging large art 7" made the video interesting and instructive.

OMG Arvin, I LOVED your video today! Long story short, my mom passed away and I received a finite amount of money. I bought a new home, and now I have to decorate it with what feels like no mistakes. I am paralyzed and appreciated this video so much. I have large art pieces and have torn the walls up moving them around (and around ha in the old place), now I see what to buy and how to do it! Thank you. Also, I love just hearing you think out loud. So many people I try to watch and get ideas from scream and are snarky and that (I guess) has it's place, but you are the REAL DEAL and have gravitas in your knowledge and your articulation is such a relief. We have all gotten older and wiser and I look forward to a new video from you with such glee! You are the premiere designer online right now in my opinion and when you talk I keep saying "oh yeah...oh yeah". I love that we hear your process and can understand what you mean. While I am much more into color than you, your knowledge of decoration, placement and love of one of a kind (which to me is paramount) is amazing! I wish you would have a 30 minute "refresh show" every day for those of us that have a home and could just use "Arvin's thoughts" every day. I''m sure Andrew would not appreciate it, but for a person who only has one shot to get this right at this moment, I am so happy that you are there. Thank you, Arvin, sincerely. It's amazing how much you can rely on a person that you don't even know.... Thanks for all of it.

Hey Arvin!! New subbie. I'm absolutely obsessed with your channel. And your speaking voice... is a calming vibe. I can listen to your speak all day! 😅😊
To answer your question, I prefer your casual Vlog with design topics, for sure. I absolutely appreciate that you're taking your time and listening to your home speak to you on what is best for your family's style and functionality. Speaking of your home, it's BEAUTIFUL and the views are so scerne to me. I can't wait to see what you do next. So, keep the content coming. 😊
Oh!! And, congratulations and best wishes on your nuptials. Andrew seems like a great guy. Not to be left out are Marble and Sage. They are the cutest. Love to see them in their element (sunggling up on the couches). 😊
Here's to ✌🏾 ❤️ & 🙏🏾 as you navigate making your house a home. I'll be right here anxiously awaiting your next episode. Until then, xo
P.S. Definitely purchasing one (who am I kidding, two or more of your rugs and other recommendations 😂😂😂)

Arvin, your talent is overwhelming you’re so good!❤ love both pieces of wall art! That denim rug is killer!! I’m with you regarding the fireplace. I think it’s too dark. can’t wait to see what you decide on!!

I’m shooting one of my places soon (once two custom pieces arrive) so this VID is perfect timing! I’m sure your space will look amazing. I dig the direction you’re going. Great bones to the home BTW. 👍🏾
Ps… best of luck with the new rug collection!
