First Disney with Kingdom Hearts 3's Frozen world, and now this, man, why is purpose of a story to make money and sell things? Can't just be to send great messages and stuff that isn't fueled by greed?
Star Twinkle I think suffered from being twenty gallons of you know what in a ten gallon hat. There were too many ideas to bring to a satisfying conclusion. My guess is Nuriyama was not given enough time to go back to his beat board and trim things down to make them manageable. He might also not want to trim things down because he could not pick and choose. After Mahotsukai and Star Twinkle, I think they should never tap him to be a head writer. He just doesn't seem to be able to handle that level of power and responsibility or the tough decisions that come with them. He's still a good writer, but making him head writer is promoting him to the level of his incompetence. I still think they should have made Elena the main character and her setup being moving to Japan from Mexico. Have her dealing with culture shock and feeling alien. Then she meets a literal alien in Lala, and the two become friends in their mutual feeling of being out of place. And I would have made the themes of the villains stronger. Kappard represents a conquered people who watched their world be literally drained of its resources. Aiwan is someone who fell through the cracks of society. And Tenjo represents being lower class in a very hierarchical society. The Notraiders represent people who feel forgotten by the universe and lost all hope, so they've been taken in by the idea of erase it all. But that's just me without the Toei execs breathing down my neck.
I come back to this overview every now and then and noticed this comment. And you know what? I truly think that if they went with this, it would turn this into one of the best Precure series ever if they executed it properly. I love this idea and I'm considering writing a story of this
Tbh this show reminds me a LOT of Voltron. The show started off good. And then the lack of character development plus the things happening behind the scenes AS WELL as the show becoming a lot less interesting caused it to crash and burn. Star Twinkle is a lot like that. It started off good. And then all of the stuff I mentioned turned it into one of the worst precure series ever
I’m still really frustrated with the conclusion of that show. Lance was done dirty and the Paladins did the exact same thing what the Star Twinkle Cures did. What is it with these characters and forgiving beings that threaten to destroy reality?
@@nintendolife25 I have no clue. All I know is is that a lot of miscommunication went on behind the scenes. For Voltron, a crap ton of writers actually left because of abuse. Or something like that...
now that you said it, I will now forever think of star twinkle as the voltron precure. You really have a point there in how both shows started out well, but went downhill. However, the difference is that voltron started out on a higher level than star twinkle did, but they ended on the same thus voltron brought a bit more dissapointment.
They really needed to just not cram it into the last 2 episodes before the finale. Any of the filler episodes could've been used for this. But as AzenZone said, there appeared to be a lack of direction in the writing room. A shame.
@@Inkfy Muriyama needed to outline arcs and development beats for all the characters. Even if Elena and Madoka were added later, he still should have made sure they got the development they needed. And I have no idea what happened to Yuni. Her ears and tail made it hard for her to interact with Earth, but she could never be off world because she was needed for the damn cult chant. For a series about the zodiac signs, the stars really seemed to align against this series.
I totally agree and to be honest I wish they can do a redo on star twinkle precure I love Hikaru and the other 4 but like they really should of planned it tho I have no problem for no story telling I like the season alot but to me personally it wasent tragic but either way I just wish star twinkle precure would get a redo so we can actually enjoy it and understand what's been going on
Even if Elena and Madoka were shoehorned in, if the show's intended themes were focused more on diversity instead of imagination, they could've worked very well. First you have Hikaru who is super accepting of everyone no matter what country or planet you are from. As well as her FOIL in Kappard who, as his backstory stated, was very against those from different planets after those very visitors practically siphoned off all the water on his home planet. Lala is a literal alien facing culture shock on a new planet. Just like anyone who would move from one country to another. Thus her story could focus on the more common racism. (On par with someone from japan moving to america and being made fun of for being asian by locals) Elena, despite also having an arc involving racism, could have been a lot more personal since she is a mixed race girl in a very conservative country. She has ties to Japan as much as Hikaru and Madoka do but because she is half hispanic she could be targeted for bullying and racism because of that. Maybe even body shamed like Tenjou. Madoka...and now thinking about it THIS could be why they dropped the subplot with Mr. Kaguya and the G-Men...was raised in a very conservative household whos motto boiled down to "if they don't fit in deport them." her arc could've involved her having to drop that mindset and help the...illegal immigrants...ok that may have been a factor too...seek sanctuary as they moonlighted...damn lunar related puns...as prettycure And Yuni...yet another factor that couldve caused issues when trying to fit diversity in...as she seemed to be a representation of a victim of Racial Profiling in the justice system with the realization that her entire species is feared for their shapeshifting ability, and because of that had to be chased off of their original home. She is also a wanted criminal because she stole back artifacts taken from her people after they were petrified. I sort of feel like Garuouga should have been her foil as he was also a victim of survivor's guilt only difference being there was no saving his home and the people on it.
Totally agree, the show had potential but in the end, it turned out to be a rather mediocre Precure series. Not to mention it felt like the writers played it too safe compared to past series. Really disappointing
Star Twinkle Precure is not a bad season. It's pretty solid. I had more fun with it than with Mahou Tsukai, HapCha or Suite. Yes, the character development could be better and some storylines have been unsatisfactorily resolved, but for most of the time it was still fun to watch. - Hikaru is not the best main character, but at least she has a character. Mirai, on the other hand, has zero development and contributes almost nothing to the plot after episode 9. I don't know anything about Mirai. What are her hobbies and preferences? Hikaru represents their interests and you can learn a lot about how they came to them. For me, Hikaru is more fleshed out than Mirai, Ichika or Megumi. - Riko's development was dropped with episode 13. Ha-chan was nice and the real glue for the team, but she hardly evolves either. MTPC develops its side characters more than its main group. Mostly offcreeen. This is absolute bullshit! Suite and HapCha have many unsymphatic side characters that were irrelevant to the plot. STPC has more to offer. Many minor characters appear only once, but are used well for the issues addressed in the episodes. - I like the Villians of STPC. They are much more interesting than the Phantom Empire or Trio de Minor. - It is a shame that many plot lines of STPC were dropped, but at least the plot remained coherent. Suite and HapCha had many more holes in the plot. And STPC explores more themes with his space setting than MTPC with his magic world. STPC isn't the best season, but it's still solid to watch. I had fun with it.
I can only agree with this, especially Elena. I feel like they wanted to make a huge deal of the first darker skinned/multiracial cure but didn't want to give her a personality outside of being loved because they didn't know what to do with it and Lala getting the episodic arc with her brother was definitely wrong because how would she know his feelings better than his sister?!
Eh. I don't think they really cared that much about her ethnicity. It's not like that is super uncommon in anime, and Precure doesn't have a sizable audience in the west for them to really worry about that. They probably thought it would be neat and unique but weren't too concerned with it "breaking new ground" the same way a western producer would.
star Night okay Kira Kira Pretty Cure ala mode was bad, but Ian least the characters had different personalities, Star Twinkle is a carbon copy of Smile but themed to outer space. okay yeah Lala was an alien, but she didn’t really kind of get me hype to watch the show because of all the other characters surrounding her!!!
you know I would. like to see a rewrite for this heck maybe one version with just star, milky, and cosmos as the main team like if any writer see this let me know
It's sad. I tried to love Hikaru. Kept giving her so many chances to prove herself as a strong pink cure lead. But with so many episodes of her being outshined by Lala. And the forced recognition from her teammates that keep thanking her for changing their lives even though she literally did nothing. Seriously, the show treats her as if she's the Nozomi of the team and she's not. She inspires no one. It just sucks.
A is for aliens, the real stars of this show. V is for void character due to the humans being hallow. E is for the theme’s execution, which is forced and barebones. R is for the reason I still watch: The reviews of Azenzone! A is for annoying lead cuz Hikaru doesn’t do jack. G is for great potential that the Sun and Moon lack. E is for the ending that gave a us “meh” mood. But it’s finally over, so I like to say: See you all at “Healin’ Good!” (Song inspired by DragonBall Abridged’s “PERFECT” song) Anyway, needless to say, while far from the worst entry of the Pretty Cure series, this show had so many shortcomings that it’s difficult to make it stand next to other favorites in the franchise. It didn’t even make the top ten in NHK’s Pretty Cure poll nor did it’s Cures other than Milky and Yuni made the list despite the advantage of being the season aired at the time and after watching the rest of the season, I can safely say that most people aren’t going to change their minds. Really, the TI episodes of these 3 characters just make them end up being bargain bin versions of Nao, Reika, and Miyuki. Elena was a Cure hyped up for her ethnic group and now, that’s the only thing she’s going to be known for. They tried to give her something in the last 40 episodes but as always with this season, it’s too little too late. Madoka’s arc was probably the best among the human friends but it lacked impact due to being dropped for a huge chunk of the series. She may has the best fight in the season but unfortunately, she lacks the character impact to go with it. And then we have Hikaru. She has got to be the least developed, impactful, relevant, and poorly characterized Pink Cure since Ichika Usami. Never had a lead Cure have such a demotion in being a Supporting Protagonist since Megumi during the first half of Happiness Charge. Borrowing a quote from your review of ep 45, Adam, she’s no Miyuki Hoshizora despite the half-baked attempt in said episode. Infact, I say said Cure have more in common with Nadoka from Healin Good, who already proven to be a much more likable and respectable Pink Cure compared to Hikaru in a single episode since both characters have backgrounds that involves major influences/support in their past lives that resulted in their current personality and amiable traits. The difference is that one was suffering from an illness likely since birth going by her parents words of walking for the first time and it’s probably chronic due to the fact she’s easily tired from catching up with Chiyu and the other was an introvert, being afraid of everyone and finds it difficult to socialize with people due to her timidity which would explain her brief timid moments such as her classroom introduction and inferiority complex on ep 15. Hikaru has no personality outside of her typical Pink traits which are a lot more selfish and reckless this time around, while lacking any characterization, development, motives, or backstory to speak of, making her flat and hard to admire. Star Twinkle’s theme is, ironically, its biggest weakness since people are going to expect a lot from the season due to being space themed but delivered the bare minimum, being no where near as imaginative as they misused and abused the word during its run. Again, it’s far from being the worst thing that has happen to Precure, in fact, like any other season, it will have people are attracted or indifferent to it and it still has its merits such as its movie and any character that’s not from Earth (sans 👎 Fuwa , 👍 Sakurako, and Ryou) but the Super Mario Galaxy series this season is definitely not. Another well done review, Adam. I hate to potentially jinx it but let’s hope that Healin Good can heal us from this mediocrity.
@Inkfy and Cure Panda It’s sad really because it didn’t have to be the case. Proper focus and planning (And probably less meddling) probably would have made this season at least a decent one, flaws and all. Unfortunately, as this show quality begins to plummet, the most enjoyment I had is discussing it with fellow fans that I was, and still am, happy to share my feelings of this beloved franchise with such as yourselves.
Really nice use of the song from DBZA, I will miss that series. Other than that, I agree with you on this, the ironic thing about this series, is that the villains are the best thing in this series, more than the heroes. It is such a wonder that in the old Precure series, I usually see the villains as annoying and sometimes cruel and evil (which is not a bad thing by the way), and here we see they have very interesting and relatable backstory, and some do have more charisma, again not a bad thing, but it really comes off like the villains are the ones that evolve in Precure and not the Precure. The only things that evolve in Precure are that non humans can become one, scratch that, EVERYONE can become one, more toys to show off, less action but more skill spamming, and.... that's it. Also I would like to remind you guys, that the Fresh team are still the sexiest Precure by far, and I believe that will never change.
Man, I could not agree more about this entire season overview. Here comes my rant. When this season finished I couldn't help but think to myself "this season probably would've went better if it was just a duo of Hikaru and Lala with Yuni coming in later" and here you are telling me that may have been the original plan and it makes so much sense. They just concentrate so much on the Hikaru/Lala friendship and later Hikaru/Yuni when she freshly joins. They barely did anything with Elena and Madoka, and they rarely had moments with other team members outside of each other (because Sun and Moon). I always say this as a meme joke but, Lala really carried this season on her back (and Yuni too at times), as she was the only one with a solid character arc and conclusion (and a little bit of Yuni too if they didn't rush it). It even felt weird at the later episodes when Hikaru started being all somber and sad, because of her friends moving on and stuff. It felt so forced since she didn't have any character development at all. Certainly didn't help that she barely bonded with her teammates, she bonded more with FUWA than her other Precures, like geez. I'm sitting here really struggling to try and remember when she had a REALLY significant moment with her teammates other than maybe Lala. In the middle of episode 9, Elena and Madoka talks about how "great" Hikaru is, and how she looks out for everyone. But by the end of the series, I fail to see any of that as it felt more like they were "friends" because they just so happened to become precures within the same vicinity so we might as well be a "team." It really feels like they shot themselves in the foot with the theme this season, I was worried about the whole "space" and "imagination" themes, and man did it fall on it's face. It made the scale of the conflict super grand without really doing anything with it, and in the end they concentrated more on FUWA than the impending doom of the UNIVERSE. In fact, what was even the main problem with space now that I think about it? I know they mentioned that stars in the sky were disappearing and all, but... we barely saw any damage or alertness from this? Noone on earth really cared about these stars disappearing, and other planets/aliens who were probably closer to this destruction didn't even care about supposedly whole galaxies and planets were dying right next to them and that they could be next? Heck, HIKARU our resident star gazer barely cared about these stars disappearing. It would have helped her character to at least be sad about some her favorite stars and constellations being gone. The only character that really cared about this plot point with the stars dying was Galorge but even then only on a personal level since his entire planet died in a blackhole. You think other planets would be scared about the same fate happening to them. But the only planet we see in distress is Yuni's planet and that was only because of the Valley Girl Mad Scientist, so not even part of the whole "stars are disappearing" which is suppose to be our main conflict and danger. So what was even the point of the whole "stars are disappearing" plot when literally noone cared. I mean we started this whole quest to save these stars and the universe, but as we traveled around in the pink sugary space we saw no actual damage or conflict coming from this. Gathering the pens and finding their "Star Twinkle Imagination" was suppose to restore the universe, but we literally saw nothing to "restore" expect for Yuni's planet. By episode 49, the Zodiac princesses are like "Your imagination is stronger than ours now, all will be as you wish" (whatever that means) which of course relives Yuni because she can save her planet but then gets immediately sidelined in favor of SACRIFICING THEIR POWERS TO "SAVE" FUWA. So does that mean the disappeared stars from earlier just never gets restored because of this? Galorge's entire planet and race, just gone because "yo we gotta get our plushie back." Entire stars, planets, and galaxies permanently gone now for one plushie? At least this season gave us Lala, and her movie (let's face it, it's basically her movie) as I really liked her. The movie was very nice and simple too, probably my favorite precure movie now. But thank goodness it's over, I hope Healin' Good Precure does just that and heals us from the damage Star Twinkle has done. We're going to need a REALLY big bandaid too. The spectacular opening and ending song alone from Healin' Good Precure has been a good remedy thus far.
My ideas on how to fix star twinkle lets have some victorious imagination, shall we? With the power of imagination: 1. Add additional attacks when the cures got the star color pen instead of power-up for their main move. 2. Additional Attacks for Cure Cosmo not just her weapon rainbow perfume. 3. The location for the Final Star color pen will be in Saman and they meet the Starry Sky Galaxy Association for ally agreement against the Notraiders. 4. The methods of making a monster will be the use of a Nottorei Mask (that i've seen in the last ep) while shoutout about the twisted imagination. 5. After obtain all the Color Pen and the Palace is fixed, the Notraiders are in full scale assault on the palace then the cures use all of their star color pen but the lost its power due to overuse then the Armada of Starry Sky Association arrived to drive them out then the Association established a based near the palace for protection if Notraiders are back. 6. Remove the Twinkle Imagination, this time in the 2nd arc on how to fix the Star Color Pen while the princess got sick because the pen connects within them. 7. Time for space exploration, in order to fix the color pen they need to revisit all the planets they explored and find the source of the imagination within the planet. Thoughts: I wish that this series would be a true space exploration not just a the theme itself why not just make a reference from the old times space genres like starcraft, star wars original trilogy, star trek, flashman(close enough to be a space theme sentai), space sheriff, etc. If they do it, the show would be more entertaining no thanks to the production staff they even don't know what to do itself.
as someone who has Madoka as their favourite, im dissapointed with how her character is executed. i really like characters who has a general plot of obeying their parental figures orders to be perfect and ladylike (and mind you, if these characters are executed well, they'll turn out to be enjoyable characters) but instead, she's just.. there, with Elena.
Speaking of Aikatsu I think it’s a coincidence that this show had so many similarities (not genre-wise but still) Elena and Sakura share a VA Eimi Naruse was an unofficial member of STAR☆ANIS as Miya The art style looks similar to Aikatsu Friends (even though it’s not the same character designer) And both this show and season 1 of Aikatsu were very frustrating in some parts. Putting the similarities aside Star☆Twinkle is okay. I think Healin’♡Good will be much *much* better
This season didn't have to end up this way. It really didn't, but due to poor direction, writing, animation and overall a lackluster cast, it really is a shame to see it this way. I mentioned it many times, but having 2 episodes at the end of the series crammed in hardly counts as character development. I almost want a redo for this team. Because if any precure series deserves a second chance to do it right, it should've been this one. So we reached the end! Man, what I ride! This is has been really fun. From start to finish honestly. Especially talking you guys and AzenZone! I'm really happy with the discussions we were able to do together. And now, we've reached the end. My final review/thoughts below! RUclips wouldn't load the comment, so here's my full thoughts in stash from DA Long, but I feel it's worth it if you liked my rants/rambles. sta.sh/01fet26wdvuz As always, thanks for the reviews! And everyone else, thanks for the discussion/discourse! I'll wholeheartedly enjoy it for Healin' Good!
I read every single paragraph of that review and I swore it’s like you mirrored my thoughts. Really, even the great things about the season has some unfortunate drawbacks. It’s shame that despite introducing some aspects to their Cures, they are still the dullest Cures of their respective colors....well, 3 of them are. It’s frustrating to because I was sure that Madoka is going to be my favorite of the season but now Yuni pretty much have taken that title, despite her rather weird conclusion.
I believe that anyone can make a better story using Star Twinkle's setting and characters, even better without the meddling of Toei and the goal of selling toys.
Wait, Hikaru is not the worst pink cure? Who would it be then in your opinion and how are they worst than Hikaru? I personally don't like Hikaru or Ichika by the way.
I can’t even describe how much I agree with you. I was super disappointed by Star Twinkle so much, from the cures (except for Lala & Yuni), to the poor execution, to the lack of stakes. I was also disappointed by how the star princesses forms were a HUGE missed opportunity. I also have one example on why I didn’t like Star’s VA. It’s was after Fuwa sacrificed herself, when Hikaru cried out Fuwa’s name I felt nothing. Which is kinda a bad thing since that was supposed to be a big gut wrenching scene. I remember being like “Wait, that’s it? That’s the big scream?”. I remember thinking how underwhelming that performance was, honestly it reminded me of a certain moment in the final season of Sailor Moon. Spoilers Ahead but it’s the moment where Usagi cried out in agony after her friends died trying to save her. I let me just say the VA did a fantastic job with that scream. I got chills when I heard it. Then it leads back to Star’s scream once Fuwa disappeared. I know Star’s VA is new to this but I think that for a moment that’s supposed to be a gut wrenching scene, it almost felt like a watered down version of that moment in Sailor moon. That for me was the example on how much I didn’t like Star’s VA. She always seems to not showing much emotion in her voice and at worst sounded extremely annoying.
My feelings are really mixed this season in comparison to other ones I've watched. Generally speaking, Star Twinkle indeed wasn't as on par with other seasons by a long shot (Especially when by other seasons I mean Hugtto.) I agree, there are so many things to be improved on this season. First, Fuwa. My friend found Fuwa's role in the finale an insult and to be fair, it kinda was. The series rarely showed moments of true sacrifice and Fuwa just did it so quickly it felt far too unnatural, and what was the point? They revived her anyway AND lost their powers. (If you dont count Miracle Leap that is.) The second thing and this is what I'm most disappointed about, is the development of Hikaru. Now, I am the weird one and I like Hikaru, but I can see why she is critically disliked, it's for her lack of development and personality. This is rare as she's the stereotypical pink cure and I have yet to see a pink cure get this little spotlight in their series. There are a lot of other things I can toss around that the season could do better but I think the general quality of the season made me able to appreciate some of the hidden gems that came here. Personally, Lala is my favorite character in the franchise and I adored her development throughout the season, she's a very unique and interesting character. Take episode 40 for example. Also out of everyone, Elena perhaps had the most stable quality of development in the season, I liked pretty much every episode that focussed on her. She's great imo. Yuni had huge potential and I wish they could flesh it out just a bit more because I found her wonderful, yet a bit held back. I liked all the twinkle Imagination episodes but by then it was probably too late to recover. Still, it's a bad season, but I've learned from past fandoms that I'd rather open myself up to enjoy what my favorite franchises have brought to my plate. In other words, I don't really want to set standards that disappoint me and make me leave the fandom out of disappointment. Still, wish Healing Good can save it! The first episode already lays out big potential, after all!
Seriously, Fuwa really ruined a lot of this year for me. First of all, I don’t hate her voice, not as much as I dislike Hikaru’s, but I don’t like it either. Voice actors are a big deal for me in anime so this is such a shame because Kino Hina has a LOVELY voice, as long as she doesn’t try to be sooooo squeaky. Second of all, she’s just not interesting. I get it, she got a high statistical popularity in the poll because she’s CUTE and this series is for KIDS. But it just feel so degrading when Precure often has so much more going on aside from the usual kids’ toys revenue stuff. Just look at Pikario! Fuwa doesn’t have a personality, doesn’t have a story, and doesn’t even have a purpose aside from bailing the Cures out of trouble and being a word in their speeches. Third, this is the biggest problem I have with her. Fuwa’s ‘death’ is downright INSULTING to me! I can’t take it, it’s just so terrible after we’ve seen Cologne, Pikario, and many reformed villains sacrificing themselves for our heroines like Kiriya, Michiru and Kaoru, Regina, etc etc etc. Fuwa doesn’t have enough going on with her for me to care that she died in the first place. And the Cures giving up their powers to bring her back (because toy sales are important) is just so INSULTING and FRUSTRATING! When Cologne is my favourite fairy ever, can you even imagine how much Fuwa spits in his face and how furious I would be!? I’m never this critical about a character or a series, but Fuwa (and toy sales) honestly ruins a lot for me this year. With how Rabirin is already performing in Healin’Good, I’m expecting a lot from her to get me over this disastrous MLP clone.
Like you and many have said before, Star Twinkle is a major disappointment to me, as it has so much potential to make at least an interesting Precure series that could go on a different direction than what previous series has done. While it did go to a somewhat different approach, it is not for the better. I also don't like the fact that the newer Precure series is trying desperately to hold back, it's like they are afraid that the Precure (franchise or the team themselves) couldn't handle major issues, tough challenges, high pressure stakes while still getting the title of "Legendary Warriors", and yes, the Star Twinkle team also bears this title. I know that they are still young children, but 1) they are suppose to be the Legendary Warriors, and 2) Look at Heartcatch, by the end of the series, they boasts themselves for saving the world while being very young, and that is an accomplishment that they deserve. The best thing about Star Twinkle in my opinion, is the music, which I really like the 80s style they rockin' with, the alien characters, and the villains. Seriously the villains are the stars of this series, even more so than the heroes. And no, they are not in the way like the Ultraman series, where while the various Kaijus and aliens are the major highlights of Ultraman, they still did not overshadow the heroes, in fact they complement them by having awesome battles. For this series, the villains just have much better characters, more relatable backstory, and have a much bigger challenge than what the heroes going through. I think what Azenzone said in this review might be true, or at least made sense, that due to the company's meddling, the series didn't reach it's full potential. Whether or not, the series have garner significant profit, I am not sure nor do I care at this point, as I have lost all hope for this franchise until Healin' Good give me some hope, but even then I am still very cautious about the new series, and would like to keep my expectations very low this time. Thanks for this overview review, and I really appreciate the effort you put into this video.
That is just stage special..... that I kinda question if it is a success or not.... like the ticket isn't that sought? Maybe it is because my main fandom has a legit ticket WAR so the Precure ticket fight is tame in comparison.
I honestly prefer the 3 team idea. I can kinda see Yuni like Cure Felice. Have Lala and Hikaru raise her to be a Precure but instead of a baby rather a kid or toddler since I haven’t seen that kind of set up before.
People do love this season, but the RUclips side of the fandom seemed to HATE it :/ Not the whole YT fandom mind you, but about 75% here were pretty toxic about the season.
It has been a while since I've seen a series start off great and get this bad. Star Twinkle started off well, not perfect, but pretty decent and everything was there for a great season, tons of interesting conflicts were set up, interesting cast, the sakes were high, but they screwed it up. I was super into this show when it started, but I started to notice around episode 20-23 how much of a mess this show was. Half the characters were critically underdeveloped, nobody had a clue what to do with the antagonists, and the plot would just stop and go as it pleased all while the universe was disappearing, completely ignored by the protagonists. Very tragic.
*sees the thumbnail* OOOOOH HELL YES This...THIS WHOLE VIDEO SUMS UP THE WHOLE TRAGEDY OF THAT SEASON. Thank you Azenzone for addressing the whole thing, in full detail. I am grateful for that. Youre right, this season had promise. Had potential. HAD OPPORTUNITIES...in ooooh so many ways. But did they use that? F**K NO. From what i can imagine, considering theyre the same people who did MTP, they bicker...constantly...except this time, its much worse. Which is why the whole thing is a big mess. The story is off, the world building is off, the "gotta collect them all" is off and do i have to rant EVERYTHING about the problem with almost the whole characters again? Uggggh...its like theyre playing it too safe u know? They lack the challenge. They lack the obstacles they have to face. They didnt EARN IT with their own hands. They cheat their way into it...well...3 out of 5 of them anyway...4 if u count the fairies... I have to agree, Lala...immediate BEST GIRL~ hands down. she really keep her character growing to heart (literally and figuratively) from beginning to end. Makes sense why she ended up in the Fave Cures list...shes THAT great as a character. Yuni is 2nd...though the issue is her sudden motive shift. She couldve been given the BEST GIRL~ too...if not for the whole "i forgive u" moment with Cyclops...that scene pissed me off to no end (like episode 3 and 33...its like the whole bullying issue in Hugtto for me...)...but, personality wise, shes not that bad. Shes good...just couldve fixed her resolution in her motive a bit more. Prunce is also a good alien fairy. Hes actually the most useful throughout their season and gained good character growth. Hes good too. Now...for the tragic trio: Elena, Madoka and ESPECIALLY Hikaru. Like...do i have to say it in full detail? You already said what i was about to say it anyway...even worse, Fuwa. Ok...im gonna pair up both Hikaru and Fuwa like with Ichika and Pekorin...theyre THAT horrible...especially what she did in the ending. THAT was unforgivable in my book... =___= Overall, this season made me want to drag Lala, Yuni and Prunce along with me to the dark side...cause theyre the most relatable (apart from Squidward and Cyclops...) and makes sense.
Berserk Mode aside, im gonna have to say this first: for those who keep saying "stop bashing at Hikaru. We get it: you hate her to bits, now stop saying that everytime we mentioned her"...sorry. As mean as it sounds, no i will never stop bashing her. Shes THAT BAD...but in a different sense, by that i mean SHE HARDLY DEVELOPED...AT ALL ok? I cant help it...like with Ichika, everytime she shows up, worse alongside Fuwa, it made me want to punch them hard in the face since this season ended...while i would slap both Elena and Madoka in the face...just for the sake of them feeling any pain... I had hopes that theyll go depth in BOTH of the sun and moon...but since theyre mostly at the sidelines, all i can think throughout the near end of their season is "whats the point?" Really...whats their purpose? Which makes even more sense of them being kicked out in their movie...but alas...
Really, this is the same girl who gotten the entire universe screwed over because she refused to let her go and gave up all her powers just to get her back despite the Pretty Cure version of Thanos is still on the loose. I’m sorry but while it’s not impossible to like any Cure, how can some not expect controversy surrounding her after those two moments? Close bond or not, Fuwa nor Hikaru haven’t proven to be endearing or developed characters to warrant it nor does it show that the latter understood the meaning of lost or priorities.
@@nintendolife25 Like someone mentioned, they could just hire new Precures to help protect the universe while Ophiuchus is still on the loose. But I have a thought, the cycle would just repeating itself. And just how easy it is to find new "Legendary Warriors" who has the guts (or stupid enough) to take on the universe.... You know watching idiots trying to save the world wouldn't be that much of a bad idea in Precure comparing what we have now, as long as they don't try to make it to teach morals, I am fine with it.
@neptuniafan but they did do that...and fail...well, obviously except for Lala of course. Yuni is just confusing, Elena and Madoka are both too little too late (Elena on the part of her race and "Smile BS"; Madoka being "independent" with her father...that never happened. At all. To both of them.) ...and Hikaru? Hah...i laugh in sheer irony. She had few despair moments...by few, i meant by a size of a grain of sand moment of despair...and just continue on being happy and going "everything's fine" [WHICH IS DEFINATELY NOT!]...unless it involves her oooooh precious FUWA *sarcasm/anger tone* =^=
@@curepanda2646 No they didn't, you forgot, they added moral things to teach kids, which is something that I don't wish to see for my idea of idiots saving the world.
Knowing about the original idea soo many things make a lot more sense... And tbh, this season had the absolute WORST Pink Lead in the franchise. And was I the only one who heard the famous Simpsons 'HA HA' when learning of why Fuwa was made so popular and beloved by the leads and how the technique, including the Midsommar attack, backfired tremenduously?
I think you should watch them in their broadcast order to have the best experience, everyone doesn't have the same taste so we could say pretty much anything.
Behold the rise and fall of the Fuwa cult. Let’s be happy they’ll be gone with the exception of the crossover movies. Their last appearance will be in 2021. Hikaru is now the Kendra of the Precure. Brandon’s Cult Movie Reviews made the Kennies and Kendra from the Gamera-athon. Have you watched any of the Gamera movies?
My Complaint on the Season.... will be more likely be on Toei itself.... Mainly that it's kinda stupid when it comes to the series itself, Look I know this series is for the Demographic of Young-Girls and... well Toy Salles.... However it doesn't feel like it's trying to Resignate with the Old fans, Fan's of there own PreCure teams Such as Hugtto PreCure, Go Princess PReCure, Fresh PreCure even PreCure Splash Star..... But Toei makes it so hard to Do that. I made this post on Toei’s Twitter and Facebook pages. Months ago with some responses. When it comes to the PreCure Franchise, Why don’t you do OVA Episodes that are weekly going into a Cures History, Expand some of the Lore and individual PreCures from a respected team having there own Episodes? So Older fans don’t feel Alienated. I know the Show is for Little girls, But from what I noticed from Azen-Zone’s reviews of Fresh PreCure, Heartcatch PreCure and Suite PreCure, It felt like they wanna Appeal to teens even some Adult Anime fans of the Magical Girl and Super Sentai name... Snd Yes that includes the Boys too. As for the Star Princesses.... I agree, Why not have them in the Role as if they are gods, Hell I had that idea then I did some of the Zodiac Princesses pictures, and Ohpiuchus would have been the one to see reason since..... I retconned that She's brainwashed into being Darknest because of Godzilla's Biggest nemesis, King Ghidorah, What do you people think?
Very much agree, unfortunately Toei is pretty much just not pushing Precure to the older audiences or long time Precure fans unlike their other franchise like Kamen Rider for example.
@@joe95883 A total revival of the Precure franchise, much like the revival of the Kamen Rider and the Ultraman franchise, I actually want to witness that.
I think Madoka should have ended up as the Astronauts, While Hikaru should have been something similar to Madoka's father as there wasn't much build up for Hikaru and it would have tied Madoka more to the Neil Armstrong metaphor Most of this season was super disappointing
So when does the manga come out? From what we've seen from the manga of the previous two shows, the stories in the Star Twinkle manga will definitely be far superior than anything that was on the actual show.
I'm not sure about anyone else, but I'd still like them to do a season where a Pink Cure is trying to be an idol. Not saying it needs to happen, but I think they could pull it off.
I had a dream last night where the precure get scattered during a space fight and Hikaru ends up adrift in a ship with out her henshin trinket. Unable to operate the craft she changes into some spare clothes she finds. Later the craft is locted by the bad guys and she has to get changed again to fight. She's successful but still unable to do anything elects to stay in her cure form since it takes so long to put on. Then something something lost in space, something something muddling of cure/non-cure identities. Honestly woke up more interested than anything that happened in the show.
Well, I finally caught up on all the PC reviews and your latest Healin' Good review too. Honestly, I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers, you've got a great 'linkara' style of humor that's right up my alley. Definitely subscribing now (and don't worry, I'll hit the bell for notifications too.) Yeah, ST was... *sigh* No real way to put it into words other than what you've presented all this time. It's a shame but at least there's still more Precure to come, and even those that came before can bring us smiles upon smiles (like that Huggto Precure series, MAN the sakuga and writing on that one, fantastic~) I'm glad I found your channel to learn more about all this magical girl goodness. I was hit with inspiration for my own take on Mahou Shoujo but I needed a way to easily digest all the plot threads and ideas that went on behind all the different brands of Mahou Shoujo, and I'd say you've helped cover about 65 to 70 percent of the genre (with pure satire like Ore or Dai Mahou Touge, villain girls like Mahou Shoujo of the End, and the 'lets torture and kill magical girls' genre of Site or Raising Project being the remaining percentile.) I'm hoping with all that I've learned, I can really hammer out any and all issues the story might come across that other magical girl tales seem to repeatedly fall into.
Honestly, I think this season was an unfortunate waste of potential. And it does feel like there was incredible disagreement about this show within that writing room. At times I honestly feel like they didn't even want a team of that size. I really think they wanted to go with the 2 person team like the original, like Mahou Tsukai, etc. Just Star and Milky until eventually you get your third member. Whatever they really wanted to do though...it just didn't play out well. Doesn't feel like they really grasped what imagination is. And honestly they swung and missed with the pink who I never could appreciate. It is just unfortunate.
Looking back, this is easily the weakest Pretty Cure season. The concept is really good and it’s disappointing how awful the execution was. The writing went all over the place, the visuals are very ugly, characters are underdeveloped or underwhelming, the music feels off and is generally very irritating, and the main protagonist is one of the most annoying characters in the franchise. When we got to the final episodes, that was the moment I noticed that this season was bad. The weirdest part is that I seem to be one of the few people to notice the problems. So many fans call this a their favorite or the best season ever, and I can’t understand why. The more I look back on it, and analyze it, the less I like it and the more I really really REALLY dislike this season.
Really great analysis. It’s kind of ironic that a series about imagination lacked so much of that; even if the topic in itself is so vast, they certainly had the number of episodes to explore a lot. The point you made that stuck with me the most was the indecisiveness around the tone. Besides Hikaru’s own personality, some of the worlds feel mature or believeable as planets (Tenjo’s, Lala’s) while others seem straight out of a children’s book. Imagine for real having to look for twelve artifacts in the whole universe; they should have taken a note of Dragon Ball GT of what to do and not do. A journey through all the universe is also a great opportunity to explore all the relationships and interactions among the cast, a little bit like Jojo did in Stardust Crusaders.
If i am to be honest i forgot about the pens after they got the pieces pen to me i think they should of stuck with the gimick they had in the movie where they are able to change forms with them and it would of made Iwan's monster of the week nore interesting if instead of the pens creating monsters they enhance them with the powers of the princesses
I know! It could've been like Go Princess. The dresses were one of the most cool things for me in the season, and instead of being just random power-ups, they could've had them turn into their princess outfits and attack.
i can´t believe that i say that but star twinkel is now the worst precure series to this day...doki doki was by all means not good but had at least a solid story and charachter development. i tried to like star twinkle because of the themes..it had so much potential but all was to rushed...i look so forward to healin good and hope it will do the franchise justice and show why we are all fans of it.
I tried to more positive about certain elements of the series as it went on but now with the season over and collecting my thoughts I can say this video is a very fair summary of the season as a whole.
Almost forget to say, since you like Madoka Magica I'll recommend you to play/watch the work that was written by Gen Urobochi. Such as Saya no Uta, Kikokugai, Phantom of Inferno, Fate/Zero, and Django. I think you may have more fun reviewing those works.
In my opinion, the biggest problem with this season was the villain. The reveal that is was the 13th constellation (again) was just... stupid. It didn't make any sense. Also, they had 12 star princesses that literally didn't do a damn thing all season. They could have been replaced by 12 gems and the result would have been the same. Also, Fuwa should have been the spirit of the universe, since that would make more sense. You use the spirit of the universe to recreate it. One more things, for a show centered on imagination, it sure lacked imagination itself.
I agree with everything you said except for the comment about it cashing in on the Madoka franchise. That seems really baseless. The name "Madoka" existed before Madoka Magica. Everything else was spot on.
Kingdom hearts 3 had a similar issue with the Frozen World. According to a theory by Matpat on Gametheory, The Devs wanted to deviate from the movie, but Disney didn't like what they wanted. The Devs wanted Elsa to be the villain, which they weren't a big fan of. In the end, the devs were forced to follow the movie, which was why the Frozen world was often considered to be the worst level in Kingdom Hearts 3. At least that's what Matpat claimed. I'm stating this because some of the issues Star Twinkle had that I didn't even notice when watching clips of episodes via ToeiPrettyGuardians the first time. I didn't think that Star Twinkle could've been better[btw Star Twinkle is a great visual series with best song in franchise: Twinkle Stars] if it weren't for conflicts with the main developer and many others. Sometimes it is best not to mettle.
This might not be very popular an opinion but it's been on my mind now and again. Hikaru...I personally find her to be one of the most selfish and cowardly Pink Cures of all, and all the evidence I need is in the finale. Because she, and by extension the team, refused to let go of Fuwa her sacrifice basically meant nothing and the universe came THIS close to being destroyed. I get it, Fuwa is important to you, and it's a lot to ask some teenage girls, but we're talking about the UNIVERSE here, and that includes Earth too. Your home, remember? She didn't even ask how Fuwa felt about all this. That's bad enough, but what comes afterwards I found arguably worse. Not only does she NOT eradicate Space Hitler for almost dooming the universe, or even try to put her in a permanent seal so she can't do this again, she chooses to LET HER GO. She lets the Big Bad, powers and all, go free with little to no indication said villain plans to change for the better. That means there's a good chance she might end up doing her "Reset the Universe" plan all over again at some point, but the kicker this time is the team won't be around to stop her again. Why? Because they foolishly give up their new godly powers to revive Fuwa, because helping one fairy is somehow more important than being able to help countless other souls across all sorts of worlds or keeping more threats from rising. Part of me feels they could've found a way to revive Fuwa without sacrificing their powers so they could have the best of both worlds. Long story short, Hikaru is a very poor role model.
Next time they should make a epic hero Precure season with heavy characterization, a nagnificent story, and fight scenes similar to the armored hero anime Majin Bone.
What i like from Sutapuri is : Incredible Cure Cast (Sumipe...), Character Design (Look at Lala, she is adorable), Sing While Transform, The Transform so great (Look at Lala Transform video it's have 1M view), 80s Retro space theme, HikaLala pairing, Lala Oyolun, Yuni Tsundere & Armpit. I love the story until ep 24 after that, so plain, but last episode so warmth. The battle it's not too great compare to Hugtto, but ovarall it's one of my favorite series.
I see conspiracy theories are a main thing here after seeing other videos of yours. Is it a bad thing that I want an entire video about one of your conspiracy theories? Cause I want a video about whatever conspiracy theory you can find.
Important question: Why does everyone hate Fuwa's alicorn form? Even in plush form? I'm an American and was new to precure. I only got into it thanks to Glitter Force English dubs despite having issues with deleted content. I don't get the hoopla over Fuwa's alicorn form.
Jovana Milankovic ehh not really tragic . It still really beloved by a lot of people in fan base. It supposed to be a fun precure series with fillers and not about plot. Even Azen there enjoys it
Yet another case of good ideas buried under possible executive meddling, miscommunication, and possibly eventual apathy. I feel like by the end, even the writers just wanted the season done and over with, so they could go do something they actually cared about. With what you described, it feels like at some point, they only kept making the season just so they could get a paycheck. I could list every problem, but this comment is being typed on my phone, and I don't want to bore everyone, so let me focus on one aspect: the Star Princesses. Let me bring up a comment I left on a previous video: it would have been better if it turned out that ALL of the Star Princesses had been revealed to be villains, manipulating the Cures so they could possibly remake the universe, growing bored with its current state, and wanting a universe where they are worshipped as almighty goddesses. Or perhaps some are good, but others are evil or at least amoral. Not only would it make for more interesting stakes, but it would make the Princesses actual characters. Let me ask this: if the Star Princesses had been replaced with some other form of deity as the Big Good, would the season be any different? I don't know, I'm just throwing out ideas. At the end of the day, Star Twinkle Precure, despite being a season of "imagination", ironically had very little.
If i was the head writer, I would redesign the PreCures designs and outfits cause there are some fashion choices I don’t jive with. For example, Cure Star and her flower theme. Plus, I’d only make the main team a trio, Cure Star, Milky and Cosmo as the sixth ranger Cure. Madoka and Elena could be background characters, i would also make the Star Princesses more humane and have more personality where the Libra Princess could be a ditzy blonde
@@elusivo3347 thanks god you arent on charge, most of these ideas do nothing to fix the issues. The dress redesign in particular is just your own personal taste blinding your judgement. Like, flowers? Its a space-themed serie we already had flower motifs in the past, the star motif fits perfectly the anime.
Just give proper development to all precures, and a more coesive plot in the latter half, and less stock animation for special attacks. Done. It was a disapointing season, but far from being the worst precure ever
@@akiradkcn When I say flowers, I mean get rid of it for Cure Star’s outfit cause she’s more star-themed and like you said, the series is better star-themed. Sure my choices are nit-picky and personal but my problems with Star Twinkle are more so on the writing and development of the characters and story
NGL I still enjoyed the series but yeah I get the bad writing and all will bring down a series. I guess I'm just a sucker for princesses, zodiac, and the transformations being so pretty.
I don’t watch AzenZone’s reviews anymore, but I’m just disappointed in this season. I just wanted all the Cures to get significant screentime and development, but the *only thing* the show ever cared about was Yuni and Lala. (Don’t like Lala or Yuni since they’re all over the place.) Hikaru never learns, Elena and Madoka were interesting in the start but in the end they ended up being… minor characters. *Screw you Murayama!* (Still like Hikaru and Madoka tho) The imagination theme, being forced and abused is so not cool, but still the season is ok at the best. Sometimes when I think of Star Twinkle it reminds me of Aikatsu on Parade! which had so many potential, but the anime decided to waste them and it became a huge mess in the end. Too much tragedies. But thank goodness Healin’ Good and Dream Story respectively are healing us from this abomination only to be stopped by the COVID-19 pandemic.
I think star twinkle was good ⭐️ but I felt like sometimes the animation was bad but it was good and made me cry many times so I think this season even tho a lot of people poop on it I feel like it deserves it prop for being a good season even tho I had some bad times it was still and good and I feel like it better then Kira Kira and huggto well that my opinion on this season and it is my third favorite season ⭐️
Tenjo's character arc was just boring, the same goes for Lala and Elena's one time things. Saitama said it best on that (though not in that context). Another sign of the executive and subordinate meddling is Star's shield and perhaps the Hugtan pen in Hugtto's finale, which are never seen in the series propper.
Maybe Fuwa should've been the universe itself : Fuwa disappears, the universe disappears. It would've made more sense in my opinion.
FuwApocalypse
Literally
I have entered the Precure Conspiracy Chamber
First Disney with Kingdom Hearts 3's Frozen world, and now this, man, why is purpose of a story to make money and sell things? Can't just be to send great messages and stuff that isn't fueled by greed?
😲

Which one the original series or the Netflix one
@@JuanGomez-ke5py Netflix one
Star Twinkle could’ve been better if they spread out the Precure’s characters development.
They really needed to just not cram it into the last 2 episodes before the finale. Any of the filler episodes could've been used for this. But as AzenZone said, there appeared to be a lack of direction in the writing room. A shame.
Inkfy very true it was a shame
Or just the writer actually talk to each other about their work
@@Inkfy Muriyama needed to outline arcs and development beats for all the characters.
(On par with someone from japan moving to america and being made fun of for being asian by locals)
Elena, despite also having an arc involving racism, could have been a lot more personal since she is a mixed race girl in a very conservative country. She has ties to Japan as much as Hikaru and Madoka do but because she is half hispanic she could be targeted for bullying and racism because of that. Maybe even body shamed like Tenjou.
Madoka...and now thinking about it THIS could be why they dropped the subplot with Mr. Kaguya and the G-Men...was raised in a very conservative household whos motto boiled down to "if they don't fit in deport them." her arc could've involved her having to drop that mindset and help the...illegal immigrants...ok that may have been a factor too...seek sanctuary as they moonlighted...damn lunar related puns...as prettycure
And Yuni...yet another factor that couldve caused issues when trying to fit diversity in...as she seemed to be a representation of a victim of Racial Profiling in the justice system with the realization that her entire species is feared for their shapeshifting ability, and because of that had to be chased off of their original home.
I know. I wrote my own version of the series
So i can skip this one and carry on with healin good :)

I did too. But it's also the series that made me quit the Precure franchise tbh, cos I'M REALLY MAD at Toei for treating the season like this.
I enjoyed Star Twinkle a lot! First half was way stronger than the 2nd half though :x
@@Fer-md6yv mahou tsukai is bad? why?

Yeah, 100% perfect series rate!
If Healin Good stick with the KISS method, I think it will flourish. Star Twinkle bit off more than it could chew, and suffered mightily for it.
star Night okay Kira Kira Pretty Cure ala mode was bad, but Ian least the characters had different personalities, Star Twinkle is a carbon copy of Smile but themed to outer space. okay yeah Lala was an alien, but she didn’t really kind of get me hype to watch the show because of all the other characters surrounding her!!!
4:57 If they *really* want to project that idol image, then they should just make a series about Idol Cures. There! Problem solved!
You and idol pretty cure: You called?
you know I would. like to see a rewrite for this heck maybe one version with just star, milky, and cosmos as the main team like if any writer see this let me know
As a someone who writes stories in my free time, that would be interesting to see what will happen if you have those characters as the leads
But it’s finally over, so I like to say: See you all at “Healin’ Good!”
(Song inspired by DragonBall Abridged’s “PERFECT” song)
Anyway, needless to say, while far from the worst entry of the Pretty Cure series, this show had so many shortcomings that it’s difficult to make it stand next to other favorites in the franchise.
I feel pity for this season. I really do. It deserved better. For what we got, the cast deserved so much more.
@@Inkfy i agree. The writers couldve just...ugggh...get along and set this right, not making it worse...
@@nintendolife25 awwww...u really mean that? ÓvÒ
Even with all my negative rants and roleplay beatups?
But by the end of the series, I fail to see any of that as it felt more like they were "friends" because they just so happened to become precures within the same vicinity so we might as well be a "team."
It really feels like they shot themselves in the foot with the theme this season, I was worried about the whole "space" and "imagination" themes, and man did it fall on it's face.
Dhui Ardor I Whould Have Loved Star Twinkle Then zeven More
Is it weird I prefer ST's OP and first ED over HG's??
My ideas on how to fix star twinkle lets have some victorious imagination, shall we?
With the power of imagination:
Your ideas sounds great compared to the actual show.
“The most tragic”
RIP
as someone who has Madoka as their favourite, im dissapointed with how her character is executed. i really like characters who has a general plot of obeying their parental figures orders to be perfect and ladylike (and mind you, if these characters are executed well, they'll turn out to be enjoyable characters) but instead, she's just.. there, with Elena.
did something happen to your go princess precure reviews? I saw you mention them on your 'sixth ranger' video but can't seem to find them :(
It was taken down by copyright claim. I will make a new version when I reach it in my series reviews.
@@AzenzoNe Hope so.. we're sorry about what happened
Speaking of Aikatsu I think it’s a coincidence that this show had so many similarities (not genre-wise but still)
Elena and Sakura share a VA
Eimi Naruse was an unofficial member of STAR☆ANIS as Miya
The art style looks similar to Aikatsu Friends (even though it’s not the same character designer)
And both this show and season 1 of Aikatsu were very frustrating in some parts.
Putting the similarities aside Star☆Twinkle is okay.
I think Healin’♡Good will be much *much* better
It's Madoka, not Elena, who shares a voice actor with Sakura.
Violentinthedaylight I was sure that Elena was voiced by Yasuno Kiyono who also voices Sakura?
I could check again I’m not sure
I thought it was fine as well. The best part would be the music IMO.

As always, thanks for the reviews!
I want a redo too! I actually really want to re-write it. Who's with me?
@@KazuhaEien me!
So...what if the cures were zodiacs? Who would be the lead cure?
Wait, Hikaru is not the worst pink cure? Who would it be then in your opinion and how are they worst than Hikaru? I personally don't like Hikaru or Ichika by the way.
the worst one is Cure Heart :#
Cure Whip
I still believe that cure star is the worst one…cure precious was just..,bland
@@xavierkrantz1098 This was written 4 years ago and yeah... Cure Precious is leaning towards that.
Generally speaking, Star Twinkle indeed wasn't as on par with other seasons by a long shot (Especially when by other seasons I mean Hugtto.)
I agree, there are so many things to be improved on this season. First, Fuwa. My friend found Fuwa's role in the finale an insult and to be fair, it kinda was. The series rarely showed moments of true sacrifice and Fuwa just did it so quickly it felt far too unnatural, and what was the point? They revived her anyway AND lost their powers. (If you dont count Miracle Leap that is.)
The second thing and this is what I'm most disappointed about, is the development of Hikaru.
The first episode already lays out big potential, after all!
i honestly loved star twinkle..it was one of my favourite seasons but i love hearin u talk about precure and i respect ur opinions
This series had a strong start but it kept tripping over itself as it went on
Seriously, Fuwa really ruined a lot of this year for me.
Star twinkle had the "Too many Cooks in the Kitchen problem" times 6. That was how many characters were in that short with the same name.
Even Kira Kira was more entertaining than Star Twinkle, and that's saying much lol
Yes 123 go to one have their moment
At least I could watch that series twice, this one... I stopped watching at half way because I was pissed.
Some of them have variant titles, but that doesn't really excuse them, either.
"The most tragic Precure series" THANK GYU!!!!
Anyone seen that one picture? Apparently Fuwa was supposed to be in a human like Mofurun from Maho Girls.
I guess that got scrapped too right Azen?
That image was for a stage show. Not the main show.
There might be various problems about this season but I don't think it's the worst one of the franchise.

I love star twinkle precure! It’s easily one of my fav seasons!
Well, at least you were able to enjoy it. I’m happy for you.

That’s what happens when Mr. Krabs is in charge of an anime studio.
I think his sigh of frustration will be beaten by Delicious Party (I'm amazed by how bad it is compared to this season)
*sees the thumbnail* OOOOOH HELL YES
This...THIS WHOLE VIDEO SUMS UP THE WHOLE TRAGEDY OF THAT SEASON.
Overall, this season made me want to drag Lala, Yuni and Prunce along with me to the dark side...cause theyre the most relatable (apart from Squidward and Cyclops...) and makes sense.

So when does the manga come out? From what we've seen from the manga of the previous two shows, the stories in the Star Twinkle manga will definitely be far superior than anything that was on the actual show.
I can't wait to see the manga! I hope it's better~
I really liked star twinkle though
Well, I finally caught up on all the PC reviews and your latest Healin' Good review too. Honestly, I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers, you've got a great 'linkara' style of humor that's right up my alley. Definitely subscribing now (and don't worry, I'll hit the bell for notifications too.)
Yeah, ST was... *sigh* No real way to put it into words other than what you've presented all this time. It's a shame but at least there's still more Precure to come, and even those that came before can bring us smiles upon smiles (like that Huggto Precure series, MAN the sakuga and writing on that one, fantastic~)
I'm glad I found your channel to learn more about all this magical girl goodness.
Yes, the cures civilian names are meant to be puns. Kaguya-moon Selene is a Greek moon Goddess. Wink.
Hikaru wasted the title "Cure Star." She's so far from it.
It gone boring at episode 27 not gonna lie
Honestly, I think this season was an unfortunate waste of potential. And it does feel like there was incredible disagreement about this show within that writing room. At times I honestly feel like they didn't even want a team of that size. I really think they wanted to go with the 2 person team like the original, like Mahou Tsukai, etc. Just Star and Milky until eventually you get your third member. Whatever they really wanted to do though...it just didn't play out well. Doesn't feel like they really grasped what imagination is. And honestly they swung and missed with the pink who I never could appreciate. It is just unfortunate.
I LOVE THIS PRECURE AS A HOLE IT MADE ME CRY AT THE END
12:32 The moment where it all made sense
Where can i watch the episodes of this its so colorful🌈
Deondre Williams Hi! I recommend kissanime.ru, it has the whole Precure series plus all the movies. :)
@i have social issues Thank you i really appreciate it i just watch the reviews because its funny
33:11 Yuni
I'm surprised they didn't have the forms in the show. They're really cool!
@@Inkfy ikr that was the major thing i wanted to see in the movie
36:31 Can you send me a link to that video once it's out?
this season hit me hard. it was actually really good
44:27 this could have been out with this could have been pretty Cure answer to Outlaw Star or Cowboy Bebop
I think that was just a joke.
Heck, Aguri (Dokidoki) had a last name... MADOKA!
25:13 With how he says ‘i n t e r e s t i n g’ throughout this review, I thought he was being sarcastic here. (Any TwoSet fans?)
This is made for children....- some people are saying
If I was a mother I wouldn't let my children watch this
Kingdom hearts 3 had a similar issue with the Frozen World.
8:32 yeah I feel in your Overview in Tropical Rouge you’ll say this with Laura
What is the anime at 6:46?
That is Kobato from CLAMP, the creators of very famous works like Cardcaptor Sakura, XXX Holic and Magic Knight Rayearth.
neptuniafan thank you! 😊
Next time they should make a epic hero Precure season with heavy characterization, a nagnificent story, and fight scenes similar to the armored hero anime Majin Bone.
What i like from Sutapuri is :
Incredible Cure Cast (Sumipe...), Character Design (Look at Lala, she is adorable), Sing While Transform, The Transform so great (Look at Lala Transform video it's have 1M view), 80s Retro space theme, HikaLala pairing, Lala Oyolun, Yuni Tsundere & Armpit.
I love the story until ep 24 after that, so plain, but last episode so warmth. The battle it's not too great compare to Hugtto, but ovarall it's one of my favorite series.
The hell does an armpit have to do with SutaPuri?
I see conspiracy theories are a main thing here after seeing other videos of yours. Is it a bad thing that I want an entire video about one of your conspiracy theories? Cause I want a video about whatever conspiracy theory you can find.
Also, lay off the alcohol! How is getting drunk meant to help increase imagination?!
Important question: Why does everyone hate Fuwa's alicorn form? Even in plush form? I'm an American and was new to precure. I only got into it thanks to Glitter Force English dubs despite having issues with deleted content. I don't get the hoopla over Fuwa's alicorn form.
Another important question: What is the purpose of the Kyubey Jar, or the Q.B Jar as its labeled?
I was talking with my brother and explained the cult. He looked at me and asked why the fuck a kids anime had a cult and cult chant like that.
Now they are lol. You and Idol Pretty Cure
For me the most tragic precure series is smile precure. This precure series had great episode but as a whole series was an okey.Noting speical for me.
Jovana Milankovic ehh not really tragic . It still really beloved by a lot of people in fan base. It supposed to be a fun precure series with fillers and not about plot. Even Azen there enjoys it
@@Whatzitooya891 I know that smile precure is loved but for me personally I didn't like it.
I also don't see how this series has an idol theme.
If your were to rewrite this series what would you do?
I will agree. I liked the music the best, and sometimes the colors and designs are nice to look at tbh
*Screw you Murayama!* (Still like Hikaru and Madoka tho)
The imagination theme, being forced and abused is so not cool, but still the season is ok at the best.
Somewhere out there Fourze and Toqger are depressed and don't know why.
*Fine at the start, but lifeless at the end.* Damn, what was wrong with the writers?
I think star twinkle was good ⭐️ but I felt like sometimes the animation was bad but it was good and made me cry many times so I think this season even tho a lot of people poop on it I feel like it deserves it prop for being a good season even tho I had some bad times it was still and good and I feel like it better then Kira Kira and huggto well that my opinion on this season and it is my third favorite season ⭐️
Why are idols outdated? I thought idols were still a popular thing in this age.
Hikaru is a psycopath and I still say that she murdered Tsubomi to get her spot on the rocket.
I see I didn't miss much by skipping this season. I hope coming back for Healing Good will be worth it.
