    I could write paragraphs about Aamir Khan, and still not do him justice. He's not just a star, but an artist and yet has such humility and honesty. This is why he stands above most, if not all, in the Hindi film industry for me, because not only has he not let success and fame go to his head, but has kept the artistry and integrity alive all these years. He knows how to be honest without being cruel or trying to get a viral soundbite, and disagree without disrespecting anyone else.
    Hats off.

    I think a milestone that gets overlooked where Amir Khan's contribution in Indian films and society is concerned- is that Taare Zammen Par made an entire country and education system sit up and really take note of dyslexia. It was not a problem commonly recognized earlier, but TZP made people aware and take remedial measures. As a parent and as a teacher, I've noticed the landmark shift in attitude to dyslexia and other learning disabilities.

    So, good to see him!!
    Aamir khan is undisputably one of the highest legends of Indian cinema, and his stardom is only rivalled by Shahrukh Khan. Most importantly, his body of work is unrivalled!! Nobody comes close in modern times!! One of the best movie makers ever!!

    Many I know who didn’t watch it in the cinema due to ban Bollywood campaign but later watched it on Prime have absolutely loved it and regretted not watching it in the cinema. Only little bit of an issue the movie had was that there were reflections of PK in some scenes which didn’t go well with the movie perhaps.

    Kiran Rao is not wrong. Aamir has interrupted her multiple times during the interview, not allowing her to express herself fully. He clearly has not worked on himself. He has also disclosed many of their personal issues publicly. She seems visibly irritated by his behavior but is masking it. Her body language is different in those moments. You can see her feeling fidgety and restless like, I was suppose to answer that not you and you are not being respectful to me. It must be tough. Its her film and her moment. Amir should understand that and Anupama should have moderated this better so Kiran rao could speak more about her film.

      It was a joint interview and Aamir answered questions addressed to him, which was more than 50 % of the content. Anupama has set the tone of the interview. I watched the full interview. Aamir did not interrupt. He is obviously aware about Kiran's constant accusation against him, of taking over. But Kiran is lucky to have plenty of internet supporters, many of them obviously Aamir haters.

    • @LS5565
      @LS5565 9 дней назад +4

      And Kiran has publicly talked about Aamir in innumerable interviews through the past six months. Too much revealing talk by Kiran and yet Aamir gets the bad rep. The media has used these Kiran interviews its own way, cherry picking all that makes Aamir look bad . Example, a recent Kareena- Kiran interview. Kiran was asked what she loved, hated and tolerated about Aamir. Kiran termed him a great producer, said that drawing his attention was a big issue and of course spoke about his almost mansplaining, his lectures as she termed it. The media picked up on this last point and twisted things to shame Aamir.
      In contrast you will never see an industry wife like Gauri Khan or even their kids ever speak a word against srk.
      Nobody is a saint, neither husband nor wife. Through past 7-8 months of LL related multiple interviews from Kiran, Aamir has spoken only once early in March- April and then now.
      Stop demonising the poor man simply because Kiran's fans feel like cheering her. I have nothing against her but she too has been loose lipped about Aamir. He deserves better -- from media, the ex, ppl on social media

      I think he has been wearing the kada almost continuously since he shot for Laal Singh Chaddah. Has shot for RDB, Dangal and LSC in Punjab and apparently formed a good bond with Sikhs like Gippy Grewal among others .

      I have watched the interview conversation twice -+ and Zi honestly do not feel that Aamir took over Kiran's space. It was a joint interview where Anupama asked more questions to Aamir . He replied to his and kept quiet when Kiran talked.This is my view.

    • @samadbaksh

      He is too domineering, always has been. Has to show he is the most knowledgeable in a room. Very arrogant

    • @LS5565
      @LS5565 5 дней назад

      @@samadbaksh Wrong. Aamir was asked specifically considering his industry experience and knowledge. He did NOT dominate, but answered the questions that he was asked. Kiran has directed two films but Aamir has been acting, producing,marketing , even scriptwriting in his younger years.The voices here against him are seriously either ill- informed or just dislike him. So by default Kiran gets to be the bechari favourite. Wow.
      I have nothing against Kiran but dislike it if Aamir gets demonized.
      He has supported her film ambitions through their marriage. They havebeen together since 2004, dating, then marrying end 2005. She has been writing scripts continuously through these years and Aamir has acknowledged her script skills always, even in this interview.
      In one of her many interviews earlier this year, in fact in her earlier solo interview to Anupama Chopra, the latter revealed that Aamir had during their marriage years over a decade back asked Anupama to release Kiran from her duties with the Mumbai film festival committee that Anupama headed. Reason being he wanted Kiran to concentrate on her scriptwriting instead of getting frustrated at having to divide her attention between Mumbai filmfest work and scriptwriting, plus looking after her child. Kiran was pleasantly surprised at Anupama's revelation.
      The man has continuously helped her in her film journey -- and here some internet knowitalls are trashing Aamir!.
      Incidentally as an Aamir fan I have followed Aamir( and Kiran) through two decades plus Watched and read almost every interview from them either individually or together.. I know what I am talking about.
      In this conversation Aamir answered all that he was asked ( which was more than 50 % of the show's questions). He was quiet whenever Kiran spoke. Have watched this interview many times in the past few days. I am positive that Aamir did not dominate Kiran.

    I wish Aamir Khan to do more films like at least one movie per year. The last two films Thugs and Laal haven't done justice to what he is as a n actor. Also, I want him to do more new films, new stories rather than remakes or based on movies that has already released somewhere.

    thats exactly what he want let other people get chance like he said he want to put more talent out there for he have done his path and he is satisfied he as an actor also want to enjoy cinema being a kid of a cinema he is absolutely right he must have taken the decision with lot of prospective towards life also that's clear that he being an actor that too the best actor alive in indian cinema clearly shows that he as an actor is not narcissist for being an actor narcissism comes to the package

    that's so much courageous individuals
    to be able to walk & talk in what you believe in
    regardless of the results ( failure / moderate / hugely successful )
    on-camera though, it does seem to take away quite a bit of authenticity
    probably due to being in public domain / being judged

    Sad to see the interviewer (no offence to Anupama, who I think is the best, in what she does), actually asking Aamir that where you get the courage to be honest.
    Courage is required when one lies but anyways, this is kalyug.
    What majority does, seems to be the right thing to do but I think Aamir is doing right thing by speaking his mind honestly and not trying to lie & expect us (the audience) to believe it, like most other hollow celebrities try to do n fail miserably.
    Aamir, you are a real role model on & off screen and your mother seems to be responsible for your values.
    May God give mother like yours to everyone .
