- Words cannot explain how proud I am of this project. Middle school me would be ecstatic of the outcome of this project. Present time me is just as ecstatic. This is my first complete MAP I’ve hosted and couldn’t be happier of the results. Everyone did so amazing that I can barely put into words my gratitude and awe.
This MAP was created to fill in the gray area between Leopardfoot, the mother of bloodthirsty and infamous Tigerstar. In this MAP, it is showcased of how, although Leopardfoot tries her hardest, she can’t change her son’s inevitable fate. She realizes towards the end of her life at how much of a monster he has become, and once she joins StarClan, along with her two late daughters, she is forced to watch all of her son’s actions and the lives he’s effected by them. Once he dies, she isn’t struck with grief, but with a disappointed and saddened emotion, knowing there was nothing she could’ve done to keep her beloved son from becoming a monster. When he dies a second time, she is more grief stricken, knowing that, although he was in the dark forest, he won’t be there now. And that although she is upset with his actions, he’s still her son and she still loves him more than anything.
After Credit Explanation: After Tigerstar’s second death, she and her mate Pinestar are left in StarClan knowing that their son will never see anything ever again. In life or in death. In this scene, Pinestar and Leopardfoot are sitting together in StarClan. When Pinestar leaves and Leopardfoot is left behind, she is visited by an apparition of her son. Unrecognizable from a StarClan or Dark Forest cat. He doesn’t speak. He just smiles and looks at her, then disappears. My thought process is that cats who die a second time can come visit StarClan. They don’t have any scars or wounds, and no pupils either. They also don’t speak, and appear for small moments at a time until they go back into the unknown.

I Love the ending line from leopardfoot "there's a bond that exists between mother and child but then again how would you know?" It just hit me hard.

The last scene where Tigerstar came and smiled at Leopardfoot before disappearing made me almost cry
I find it very interesting that Tigerstar, who had an incredible, loving mother grew up to be such a monster, whereas Crookedstar, for example, had a shitty mother who hated him because he was no longer "pretty/handsome", grew up to be an exceptional leader and cat overall...something I find interesting...idk...probably just me lol
I agree! Then again, Tigerstar had a crappy mentor (Thistleclaw) and daddy issues which probably shaped his hatred for Firestar and his ambitions!
I reread Bluestar's prophecy some time ago and Leopardfoot seemed surprisingly not embarassed telling Bluefur how Thistleclaw had had to sit on Tigerclaw, Leopardfoot's own full grown warrior son, so that he wouldn't go fight with some apprentices at a gathering...
I was very confused. Maybe Erins forgot she was him mother?
Liljatupsu/Lilytuft or maybe she thought it was a little funny? Or maybe as a mother she thought it was cute? Idk, I’m just making up reasons now :p

Maybe it was by that point that Leopardfoot had realized that her son was too far gone, and the best she could do was attempt to deter any wrong doings he would attempt.
The little scene at the very end hit me so hard omfg 😭😭
I always wonder if tigerstar regretted the way he was, and how he lost everything because of it. But he became so addicted to it that he just kept going, until then. But we wont ever know, unfortunately.
At the starclan and dark forest border, when leopardfoot turned away from tigerstar, I felt that, right in my heart, even thought I hate tigerstar.
What WAS Tigerstar’s relationship like with his mother? We never really saw that in the books. Unless I’m missing something.
I honestly think this is more of what we could make up of Tigerstar’s mother from the context we got in the books and the understandable turmoil she’d have growing as a spirit in starclan and watching her son take lives
Read Bluestar's prophecy, it gives a bit more background to their relationship.
Mikyelle Mackel abusive at best, she actively encouraged his violence, as shown in 2 books, in both of them she only validates his belief that he's not good enough because his dad, and she tells him constantly he must fight and become the strongest cat, no matter what, because nobody will like or see him as a thunderclan cat if he doesn't.

@@siqxyre8473 That really never happened. Leopardfoot basically always just said Tigerkit couldnt do any wrong- understandable, she had to love him enough for her and Pinestar.

That parts probably the second-best part. The first is when Leaopardfoot is sitting with her daughters and Tigerstar’s sisters are just as horrified.
And the fact she might have had to see him ghost die just 🤯 this was awsome
I love that over time, Leopardfoot slowly started to noticed that something was wrong with Tigerpaw. It kinda shows that she may be wondering if thats why Pinestar/Pine left Thunderclan

I always thought that Pinestar was Hal until I found out that his kittypet name was Pine. But both of them look almost the same to me XD

Pinestar was still leader when in yellowfang’s secret, and it said Hal was a cat from outside the clans.
Plus, Pinestar is a red-brown tom with green eyes and Hal is a dark brown tabby tom.
YESYESYES. I love it, whole thing is beautiful and that little scene at the end? Incredibly sad but also a very fitting note for this video to ened on. My heart skipped a beat when I saw my part on screen. Thank you so much for this wonderful MAP.

Damn Tigerstar's relationship with Leopardfoot in this map words can't describe how much I love it I really wish it was in the books also your idea that after cats ghosts die they get another chance I love it I liked seeing Tigerstar at the end of it I wish that was Canon in the books as well

oh my gosh this is a masterpiece. i love it so much and everybody did so amazing! it really shows how leopardfoot felt knowing about tigerstar's blood thirst and power hungry. this map describers everything. good job to everybody! :')

Amazing! Love to see Lepordfoot getting some attention! All the animators did great and is did ypu Spooky! She must have felt terrible watching her son become a monster while she could do nothing in Starclan.

Damn, I've never cried on an map before. i don't even like tigerstar but this increase my liking to him. I'd like to think that he still cared for his mother but his actions were so bad he couldn't give it up because it was too late.

I love the apparition headcannon but here's how I'd change it slightly. They don't glow, so when drawing them they'd have an outline the colour of their fur, they have solid black eyes if they went to the dark forest and they have solid white eyes if they went to starclan, probably have no mouths but idk not sure on that one.
I feel so sorry for Leopardfoot and all the other moms who's kits turned to the dark forest suck as Willowpelt- Darkstripe, Poppydawn- Thistleclaw, Sasha- Hawkfrost, Yellowfang- brokenstar and i would feel bad for Nightcloud- Breezepelt but its kinda her fault as well as crowfeathers for making him join the dark forest

Tiger ‘ Star killed Red ‘ Tail because Spotted ‘ Leaf was his sister and a Medicine Cat. And maybe to him the medicine cat didn’t try hard enough to help his mother.
He helped ( I think- I dunno maybe the attack was plotted by Tiger ‘ Star. I forgot ) kill Lion ‘ Heart out of Jealousy and Envy
And tried to kill Blue ‘ Star because A: He envied her and B: I guess wanted revenge on his father since he left him as a Kit when he was leader

Leopardfoot... Imagine dying and watching her son become a monster because of her father and who knows else. Leopardfoot really didn't deserve Tigerstar and I've seen some people hate her for her birth of Tigerstar. But, with Brindleface, Ashfur got driven kind of mad later into the books, tagging with Squirrelflight, because he felt bad he couldn't save her. With Brightheart, when she mentored Jayfeather for awhile, she couldn't of helped him as well as she did, because she had an eye injury as well, Tigerstar leading the dogs. On the topic still, Brightheart would've chosen Swiftpaw instead of Cloudtail, and everything could've turned out completely different. There are more reasons, but I don't want to list them all. What I am saying is that the birth of Tigerstar wasn't necessarily fully bad, but yes it was horrible, and Leopardfoot doesn't deserve the kind of regret and hate she has. I mean. She went through Pinestar leaving, dying, her son becoming a murderer. Poor Leopardfoot.

Wait wait. Is the dark tabby, the grown one, Pinestar? He was ginger. This was a very well done map but kind of confusing because of Pinestars design (I kept thinking he was Tigerstar)
Pinestar’s design in this map typically has scars across his face, if you want more clarification you could send me a time stamp and I can tell you for sure! If it is Pinestar, then his design looks like Tigerstar, just based on my own interpretation, but this AU has recently got new designs to try and help with the defining points on characters!

I mostly did that to emphasize the relation between Tigerstar and his father with their appearance, that’s one of the key points in this AU!!
