  • This is the story of the historic structures located at 100 N. Center St. in Mishawaka.
The Kamm & Schellinger Brewing Co. in Mishawaka, IN provided beer to thirsty folks across the region for a century and was a key contributor to the growth and success of Mishawaka itself. Its name was a staple in the community for years, but by the 1950s the brewery’s glorious time had faded. Then, in the early 1970s, its deteriorating historical structures were converted into an extremely popular, one of a kind residential and shopping center: 100 Center. But now in 2024, most of 100 Center's glorious time has also also faded, leaving a very uncertain future for the once prominent and proud brewery and shopping buildings.

Remember playing in it as a kid when it was abandoned. And then I remember Pier 1 imports that was a weird place well it was me but it was weird. Never seen stuff like that before.

Great video! You gave so much more background than I ever knew before. I was in high school mid 90's and remember Rathskellar, Calico Garden, Bookworm, and the theater. Loved roaming the halls of the old brewery, such a unique place.
