This is the video I needed to see! I just ordered a set of the Street Basis Zs for my Fit and for the longest time ride height adjustment on coilovers has confounded me. Glad to know also that I don't have to compress the springs while installing the top hats either on the struts. Just a good strong push downward while putting the lock nut on top. And then just make the black threads longer to raise or shorter to lower my ride height. Piece of cake! Don't forget the anti-seize on the threads! Thanks Tein!
I have a question, is the steat of the spring suppose to be stuck together ot its self? On my kit on one of the springs has the seat where it can twist into two parts and the other is stuck together
Ok...but tein do coil over sets where the damper tube thread screws in and out of the bottom tube so you don't touch the spring perch when adjusting ride height is that right. Now that I can understand LOL.
@@mrgizmo182 dude trying to raise my car and this kind of coilovers doesnt have anymore room to get the spring to move upwards, unless the spring is compressed
This video should note the TEIN product name shown here. DO NOT FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS for the Flex Z kit (or any kit with 3 locking collars - 2 on the top, 1 on the bottom).
It is called professional instalation for that purposes if you dont know what are you doing so dont do It, obviously the flex z with 3 collars are diferent than the 2 collar one in order than the 2 collar the preload is affected when you adjust the height
@@attaker5 the spring doesnt have any room to move upwards, cant raise my rear aswell wtf would i need a spring compressor? would that just affect the spring load or the height

Basically the only video showing how to adjust the height
Mine can adjust height without pre-loading the spring with the seat spring. The bottom part has a second ring you can turn. They're called Mono Sport.
Why when I fully lower my coilovers the spring moves freely
Impeccable ça !
What's the max height recommend? I seen this guy who had the locking collars all the way down to the last threads bc he wanted his car to be higher.
how can you raise the spring without a compressor? it doesn't have any more room to go up? trying to raise my ride height help please
I brought Tien coil overs and didn't got any nylon brush.

Hi, I have the GSH94-9USS2 that I bought from a friend. Can you tell me where to get the installation manual please?
But have you not just adjusted the spring preload which will adjust the corner weights?
John Cadman this is not that type of coilover. You can't adjust the preload
So you are saying the spring pressure remains as it is, and only the damper opens or closes
But surely when you lift the ride height against the weight of the car the spring must compress as it takes the weight
John Cadman the spring is not compressing lol its just moving up and down

When I try to lower my front, the spring becomes loose. Is that normal?
Once you drop below a certain ride height its normal, yes. There's just no pre load on the springs. You can get "Helper Springs" If this bothers you.
So is lowering the height up or down 😅 im pretty confused ?my ride height is un even
Just need help please no insults
Jose Gino don’t worry man I didn’t know either. To lower the car you go down and to raise the height you move the spring up.

I want those gloves
Does anyone know the torque spec for the flex z?
lmao 3 years later it’s 42 foot pounds i’m pretty sure
