They get the scripts for each episode they’re in but don’t usually get spoilers other than that. And they’ve only recorded season 2 so Amir wouldn’t know the plot for later seasons. Personally I think that does mean we’ll get a bit more info in season 2.
That’s honestly what I thought, that the writers wouldn’t spoil him that far in advance. I was excited when I heard that we’ll get Alastor’s canon back story in season 2, so even if we don’t get that answer about Alastor’s deal until season 3 or 4, I’ll be satisfied.
In a recent Ladies Night Interview with Amir, Amir stated that Viv already spoiled him on the vast majority of Alastor's past and backstory all the way back during the production of S1. However this DOES NOT confirm whether or not Amir is in the know of who owns Alastor's soul. And no matter if he knew or not his NDA would forbid him to anwser a question like that.
There was one part of Alastor's backstory that Amir didn't know going into it and he said it somewhat changed his view of Alastor in a "oooo" kind of way. (Hard to explain you just have to watch the interview.)
I'd provide a link but the problem is youtube tends to automod when you put in links. But this interview I'm talking about is the same interview where Amir teased whether or not Alastor could be redeemed, if you've heard the buzz around that.
