Arenas hit an insane shot to get it to overtime in the first place, and him choking was actually good because he became that much better the next season. Giannis game is amazing. Arenas should absolutely give this man respect. He has done so much more in his career than him and he has been humble throughout his career. He is true competitor and his game shows you that a lot of the players in the 90s would be as dominate or even more dominate in todays game. With strong fundamental simple play you can accomplish a lot in the NBA as a talent. Everyone should take a page from his book in the case of HARD WORK beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

When you think about Giannis turning down offers from LeBron to play together with some other stars it could be that he isnt socializing a lot with other NBA players beside his teammates. Thats why they arent interacting a lot with him on social media like twitter. I dont know if its the reason , but its a possibility that came up my mind.
Giannis is getting better by focusing on himself and thats what makes him great but people dont think much of him and put less stuff about him on social media. Other players can be great and socialize well on the same time and thats why they get mentioned a lot by their NBA player friends on twitter.

He is no gangsta’ and does not claim that his adversity was growing in a drug and guns infested “hood”. He worked for food and is a good brother and son. NBA is a xenophobic league. Before, there was racism of whites to blacks. Now it is blacks to whites and to non-Americans. Giannis comes from an African Tribe that was put on this earth to accomplish greatness. He comes from humble beginnings and appreciate what hard work can provide for you and your family. He didn't go after the big market, and still accomplishing great things. Its easy to criticize other, than to get in the arena and compete. No doubt my favorite player. He is not concerned about the opponent, only what he has control over. How many have come at this size and gone without leaving a footprint. He is just getting started. He is mastering his craft. While others are talking their craft. He is bringing another ring to Bucks Hater will always hate. Anyway, you slice it, try to stop him one on one. I darn you. Action always speaks louder than words and with social media its all words. The man is mastering his craft, many haters should do the same, accomplish something on the hardwood and then criticize. Look at the accomplishment of the haters. Enough said. Giannis is a king among boys. The league knows it. Every year, he is coming for you and you better be ready. You could have made this argument in 2017, 2018 or 2019 maybe. But the last 3 seasons Giannis has been phenomenal.
Giannis is a top 25 greatest player ever and he is not even 30. He has improved massively both physically and intelligently. He scored like 40 pts in a fiba rival game against Serbia & Jokic. Every person who knows european and nba basketball knows that defenses in europe (especially old Yugoslavian block countries) are fricking tight, not even a fly goes through. To NOT be a long range shooter and manage to drop 40 and break the records for most points shows he KNOWS how to play & position himself.
Why are we listening to chumps like Gilbert Arenas who is mostly a clown across social media. His best friend is Nick Young. Andre "i do what master say" Iguodala? Looking forward to your research and RUclips video on media narrative to favor LeBron, because right now... it seems that majority of those who are disrespecting Giannis are those who incidentally are in favor of LeBron in the GOAT convo. Tbh, MJ is my GOAT and in no way will LeBron take the GOAT status... BUT Giannis has the potential to reach and heck even surpass MJ. Doing a quick excel on the top 100 player in NBA history on 6 traditional stat and amazingly Giannis is already 5 out of 6. He is nowhere near top 30 or 40 but he has time on his side. LeBron btw is in the top 10 in 2 categories BUT he ain't in the top 5. There are only 3 players who are top 5 in 2 categories and it's Isaiah Thomas, Iverson and MJ.
Btw, I did the excel just wanting to confirm what media analysts are saying that LeBron is top 10 in majority of stats and THAT IS FALSE! And was honestly surprised with seeing Giannis in the top 100 in 5 categories, which is crazy!
Most media analyst are more like politicians and hype-men than actually doing analysis nor using actual data. There are more RUclipsrs who have better (not even close) analysis.
Btw, the best player in the NBA today isn't KD, isn't LeBron - it is Giannis. I hope he gets another ring and another MVP and DPOY. Giannis has the makings of someone who you want to look up to and emulate. He works hard and is humble. Something lacking in many in today's superstars who are mostly primadonas.

LBJ walking out on his team like that is the epitome of who he is: If he can’t win there, he is not going to stay there. Sure he is still a great player, but at what point do we start talking about LBJ as more of an NBA journeyman than anything?!! Yeah he’s got great numbers, and his 5 championships is undeniable, but those championships are spread over 3 teams and 4 different team changes; Robert Horry anyone?!!

    • @Kidimo_
      @Kidimo_ 2 года назад +1

Robert horry if he was the best player on each of these of championships wouldve been in the greatest of all time category too? I dont see how we’re minimizing the value of a championship on multiple teams especially if you had to construct and figure out how to win as the best player. Giannis literally won a championship the year after lebron won. The recency bias is sortve in effect from alot of these takes.

Giannis is the best player! He's got skills and he works as hard or harder at his craft than anyone out there. Kobe would be proud as hell of this guy, I guarantee it! You got a love a guy who just works his ass off and is super humble. He let's his game on the court speak for him against the haters! I think it just bothers some of these guys that he started in this game so late and is so good in such a short time. You can't tell me that every NBA team or player wouldn't want this guy on their roster. He literally makes the Bucks a contender every single season. Without him they are just a nice solid team. I say that with no disrespect to Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez and arguably the best defender in the league in Jrue Holiday.

Lebron is the one who isnt smart, Giannis so much better.. especially in last 3,4 seasons. Xenohobia is the reason why he isnt much loved, just as Jokic and those two are best 2 players in NBA. Add Luka and its obvious why other players hate them.. they own the league!

Yet, no one seem to be able to stop him. When it came time for him to be great he made his free throws in the finals. 50pts, 5blks, 17 of 19 free throws. Anyone who can score 50 in an NBA game can BALL.

I'm not from Milwaukee and I remember that time. The bucks were starting to follow the #2 seed narrative and give Jabari the lead. They were acknowledging both but it was becoming apparent that they promoted him. Giannis of course wouldn't let it slide and he grabbed his opportunity when Jabari was injured. I'm not sure history would be the same if all of this hadn't happened

I have much admiration for GA. Haters use the skill set criteria to try and undermine his game. If we were to use “dominance” instead of “skill”, a lot of them haters would be silent. Shaq is right when he says GA is the new Shaq. Like Shaq, GAs strength is in his physical dominance and his skills. Also there is also an argument he has a good dose of Kobe and MJ’s mentality and work ethic which separates him from others (e.g Ben Simmons and maybe AD even)

He isn’t the best player in the NBA, he is the most dominant. Kinda how Shaq was many years. As far as disrespect, I don’t see it. Yes you have a few idiots like GA but players know how good he is. I feel this narrative is all made up BS. It has nothing to do with him being born outside of the US, Luka gets love Dirk got love, the Dream did I can go on. Stop trying to pit American players against players from different countries.

They're jealous because they attribute his success to his physique, whereas they had to focus more on technical skills and still don't get the same results.
Harden, for example, will look at Giannis' free throw woes as a result of lack effort. Harden probably worked his ass off to get his shot down and to improve his handles. Hence, he hates the fact that Giannis isn't good at those things.
With that being said, the criticism is unfair. Some people-- especially larger folks-- for a myriad of reasons, will never be great at free throws or handling the ball, despite their best efforts. A lot of psych research has been done to investigate why, but there is always a reason (even if it is unknown to us). And in this case, the reason is not "lack of effort".
In fact, Giannis works waaaaay harder than Harden in the weight room, in the offseason, and in diet and conditioning.

Man I've had this ARGUMENT with a couple of my friends about HOW good he really is they obviously argue the rhetoric from the talking heads at ESPN about the way he shoots and other BS about his lack of skills. I ask about Jordan the GOAT and Olajuwon another all Time great and the fact they are in the small group of players in the MODERN ERA to win DPOY and MVP in the same season LITERALLY 3 dudes and GIANNIS being the 3rd one to do it. If you are in a spot where ONLY 2 other guys have accomplished both HOF's NOW, by DEFAULT that confirms his greatness.
