- Well it was an insane week but....2nd is quite what we were after... Stoked for our guy Ronan!

Bernard, thank you for sharing so much of yourself. The rides were incredible. I almost cannot comprehend how you maintain control at that speed on those slippery trails. The level of the competition is so incredibly high. But all through this competition you show yourself as one of the most amazing promoters, encouragers, competitors, and contributors to the excitement and success of downhill. Few achieve this level in any field! Nga Mihi Nui mate... thank you!
It's funny, i was watching this channel the whole week leading to the event and it got me thoroughly hyped up on it. Boi what a letdown the official "broadcast" was - just the most basic tech, the only sensor metrics they showed for about 1.5sec. was one speed trap, drone footage looked like 240p - there was NO sense of how gnarly, crazy and dangerous the course was, they couldn't be bothered with bringing enough gear so there was this one place where we had to watch the empty jungle for 5sec. ... enough ranting, this video gives good closure on the event, thank you very much for putting in the effort of uploading all the time and bringing the sport closer to people interested. A bit sad for Bernard he couldn't grab the win, not much he could have done though, the harsh lighting on raceday didn't help and Ronan was just flying.

Ronan's run was too clean, nothing one can do but applaud.
We'll get it at the WC and we do it under the rain, as it should.

Got nothing to be unhappy about, you carry them all week and then finish second, great achievement in a beautiful part of the world. Take some time to smell the roses.
I think its healthy to allow yourself to feel disappointed and unhappy with a result. Part of emotional maturity is allowing yourself to feel those feelings and move on rather than repressing them.
@@nomadcarpenter8549 Yes, I totally agree with you, however, Hardline has really taken its toll on BK and he needs to remain focused. Those that win, focus on winning, those that come second focus on the winner.
DONT BE BUMMED WITH A 2nd. You are one of the most beloved racers in the world! Being 5th or 6th in the world is an amazing accomplishment! We are all so proud of you! As I was watching the podiums, i could tell you were bummed. CHIN UP, move forward!

Have been watching all of your build up podcast to this event, also all of your events over the last year in between and have become so emotionally involved that i was as you are so gutted with the result, but you can be so proud of yourself to do that after everything you do behind the scenes is remarkable and its so nice to see everything coming together for in every aspect of your life, keep it up with you all the way🤘

TBH, you and Ronan were amazing. You carried the whole field for a week and made sure the course was safe. And Ronan didn’t have a bike. Between you, you took the process to levels none of the rest can match.🎉
As I predicted your boy was on the podium with a great run but having 4 Red Bulls before his run Ronan lift up to Red Bulls slogan it really does give you wings he was absolutely Flying in more ways than one unbelievable run can’t believe he’s only 21 so fast so smooth such a talent And I hope Jackson isn’t too banged up that was a gnarly one
Plus I cannot wait for next weekend Red Bull cerro Abajo kicks off with Valparaiso
I'm sure RedBull is wincing a bit after Ronan declared on the interview it wasn't helping his caffeine addiction!!!! Getting amped up like that seems to be the X-factor in snipping off that critical 1/4 second for victory...

If they keep racing here , someone will pass away on this insane track.. there's a part where it's just flat out at 50 _60mph... if u clip a rock and slam into a tree at those speeds, it's over

Keep Killin' It Man, nothing wrong with how you placed & did. That course/track was gnarly , challenging & overall I'd say seemed more challenging than others. Overall was an impressive course/track, the race/event went well & end of the day you made it top to bottom safely & uninjured, placed top 3 and gave it your best!
Ronan's run was near perfect, really impressive. Gotta give it to the kid. You're Always the legend BK no matter what!

Been wathching these for a long time but whats up with the new camera, so much wind noise on the video, the sesssion 5 wans not this this bad. Good result looking forward to the 2024 DH season, hopefully the track builders and UCI might take note from this event.

Bernard it was challenging, I'll say something to think about going forward. Dial back the pace in qualy's so you'll be in the mid pack in the line up so you don't have your race run on a blown out track.

If ever there was a lesson for the uci , in how to build up to a race . Last week was like the perfect case study. Don't know how they can get it so wrong . Lsd gas to flat and edbull are the perfect mix . Your pov combined with eds actually v good camera work get everyone gagging for race day better than any broadcast TV sport. Thank you . Even got my mum watching once I told her the mach connection. You deserve all that comes to you .

Hey, this new lens or recording setting that distorts the edge of the frame makes me a bit nauseous watching. Always love the vids though, just go back to the old camera setup:)
