    Holy shit! Link is catching 11 inch Greengill and just feeds those to a random cat?! Even in captivity a greengill tops out at 12 inches while in the wild they rarely exceed 5 inches! Not to mention how rare it is for a green sunfish and a bluegill to mate to begin with. The conditions have to be just right and even then the chances of those eggs resulting in offspring that live to adulthood is fractionally small. And Link's over here catching possible record setting greengill hand over fist and scraping by on rupees he finds on the ground. He should get a fucking Bass Pro Shop sponsorship!

I don't doubt he had to revoice a good number of lines while he was working on this speedrun commentary. That said? I too love how smooth, relaxed and collected he is. I've been watching this in bed to fall asleep (not that this isnt interesting, but that you have such a calming and soft tone/demeanor lol) for the past few days; I keep having to rewind it to the last thing I remember seeing so I could actually watch the whole thing. This is so incredibly well-done. Despite the little I knew about TP speedrunning (I was aware of things like LJAs, BiT, the low% item slide, etc. but haven't seen a full run since 2018 or so), I was hooked. This is so well-put-together, very explanatory, and made me chuckle quite a few times. I love that you take the time to explain tricks that are used in other categories, why different route ideas might/wouldn't work, and even talk through your mistakes (usually with a punchline). And, come to find that this is WR by several minutes! Keep doin' what you're doin', man. I'm a new, big fan, who now knows probably more than I ever needed to know about Twilight Princess, but happy about it 😂

    4:28:38 I am deeply amused by the sudden attack of careful enunciation at "by using moon boots bomb boosts to boost", lmao. When you were recording this bit of the commentary, how many times did that tongue twister necessitate a retake?

    • @bewildebeest
      @bewildebeest  Год назад +2

      I have no record of how many, but it may have been a few. That said, I've had to speak that phrase quite a few times as a hundo runner, so it's not *that* much of a tongue twister anymore.

    i swear i got So Excited when i saw u posted a new commentary vid. your last 100% commentary was just so genuine, charming, and funny that i rewatched the whole thing a second time semi-recently. you're just so insightful and skilled at what you do, but you convey your information in such an easily digestible way that even people who barely know ANYTHING about speedrunning can understand what's going on Perfectly.
    thank you so much for posting commentary videos like this. i haven't even finished watching this one at the time of commenting cuz i was so excited that it just Exists. i just really needed you to know how much i appreciate your specific style of commentary. goofy and charming and innately Authentic. fhsdkgjh really hoping you still go "wee! wee!" for the heart piece that needs the spinner haha
    congrats on world record!!!

    After watching this several times ever since I discovered you, I’ve been thinking of playing again casually-but-with-a-twist. I’m not a speedrunner and am not interested in Going Fast but you make it look like so much fun to get the master sword early. I’m gonna be watching a few more times to see what I can do with it to sequence break in casual ways and I’m excited.
