Thanks for the excellent review. Really enjoyed it! By the way, the "toe-heel" gear shifter was designed for the British Civil servant who didn't want to scuff his spit-polished boots. First gear was up and the rest were down, the shifter was on the right side, and there was a "neutral finder" as well, so you could disengage, dismount and comb your hair while staring at your boots. Haven't ridden in like 10 years. Finally decided I wanted to get back into riding. I'm a short dude, 5' 2'' tall. In all the bikes they had at the bike show, this was one of the few that I could touch the ground on. Perfect for a short guy getting back into the swing of biking!
Fun video! This is the ultimate back roads cruiser bike !! It's got good smooth acceleration for a 350!! I own this bike and I just road it from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and it did pretty darn good on the highway keeping around 70 miles an hour. Very planted very stable. Only issue is limited speed uphill into a headwind. But that was only a very small part of the ride. When u get into town it shines- light weight for a cruiser and very nimble with excellent ground clearance for leaning. The windshield is a must! USA
I own the Meteor 350 as an allday bike and it does great. My secondary bike is an MZ ETZ 250 2-Stroke for fun and with a lot more aggression and 1,2 more hp. Sounds weak but its hell of a lot fun to ride

Well the Royal Enfield meteor 350 is awesome beginner bike. Its looks good, performance is good and smooth compared to previous gen 350's. Love the meteor 350 😄😄. 👍the review was very good.
Hello from India. :) I'm so glad I saw this review video. I loved this and the New Classic 350, which I hope you'll review as well. Royal Enfield has come a long long way. I own a twin cylinder Japanese bike and Royal Enfield is slowly getting close to the build quality.
I just turned 65 and it's time to cut back a bit. I rode a kz 650 and Shadow 750 and wanted something fun and easy. The Meteor 350 does all that in style and performance. I do wish it had a sixth gear, it wants to go 70 plus but hits the wall around sixty. I'm easy on equipment so I don't push it too hard. If you want something fun and easy for a couple hours on a Saturday or a short cruise after work you won't be disappointed.
Cracking bike . I sat on that very same design today . Feels very comfortable , ( good for my back ) And it's definitely something I'm working towards . Great review, too 👍💥⚡
Test rode 1 & yea! Wow! Ahhh! 🤣 For the price tag I will give this little fello 4 out of 5 🌟 it's surprisingly smooth, just enough pick up, thick cushionsy seat & yes it will cruise on highway comfortably like other cruiser 👍 If it has alittle more torque & top speed I will give it a 5!
Having ridden the Meteor I was dead impressed and have ordered one. The one thing I noticed on my test was the wind buffeting particularly around the helmet, did the screen on yours help or get rid of it? Good review by the way. Cheers👍

Couple have being touring around the world on a 1972 royal enfield 350 bullet-so far done 582,000 km. They have just attended the International Royal Enfield Rally in Greece-I think this qualifies as testament to their reliability. I think you over estimate the design quality & long term reliability of your japanese manufaturers as I've had numerous japanese motorcycles & most had design faults & Fell well short of personality & character which other manufacturers have in bucket loads like royal enfield-MotoGuzzi-Ducati-Triumph among others. The Classic 350 & bullet are used in the high Himalaya's by tour groups & also for Cape York tours as well as Sri Lanka tours because of their durability-reliability as well as loads of useful torque to get through the most difficult conditions.
never seen smone have this much fun and control over a cruiser i myself have the supernova meteor , but i always get overwhelmed by its weight nd maneuverability glad to see you ride it so effortlessly , gave me sm confidence to have more trust on the bike (mostly worried cuz of the indian roads)
Back in 1980 I purchased a used BMW R60/5; that's a 600cc bike with 4 speed trans and it had compression reduced for dropping octane ratings on fuel available at that time. It had maybe 40hp? I loved that bike and I rode it everywhere, it was my primary transportation. You don't need high hp to enjoy riding.
It's nice to see the growing market for these simple low power bikes in the UK.. You have companies like Hitchcock motorcycles, TEC parts, and tuning companies like BHP UK that modify these bikes.. The 650cc twins can with a simple remap gets close to 10% more power and is a lot less jerky around town.. Modify the air filter and exhaust, a remap can give you 20% more power on the back wheel.. But with a 20% increase in power you probably want a slight upgrade on the suspension. The 350cc singles also could do with a 20% power boost. So a boost from 20.2 to 24 bhp would be nice..
I'm actually looking at this bike purely for the MPG. I sat on one and was super impressed with the quality. I ride a Vulcan 500 now, which is 50ish HP and I love it. But for commuting on back roads this is perfect. Enfield should be applauded for that alone. Especially with all this Russia nonsense, this is the most efficient thing you can get short of a 50cc. Most people pay no mind to MPG on motorcycles, but for 5k and 90mpg, its almost an eco-bike.
Possible to make the video about Counter Steering... or steering of the motorcycle, (push right bar to go right....) People go buy 200+hp bikes and don't know how to steer.... they actually go toward the danger instead of avoiding it.
I've owned big bikes, dirt bikes, sport bikes, and cruisers. This bike is great if you just want to have a relaxing ride and not fight a big cruiser or get into a pissing match with traffic or other riders on a super-sport. This is a great bike to just relax with; it's smooth, quiet, and has classic style with modern components. The price point and gas savings are also a huge plus. (U.S. owner)
Go to ROYAL ENFIELD OFFICIAL website and chose the bike you want to buy, under that you'll see there's an option called "MAKE IT YOUR'S BOOKING"... All the variants can be customized and it has lots of more good color options too for all variants.. If it's not available in UK/USA, ask the dealers to book the customised one you saw/like in website... Lots of riders don't know about this..

It's one of the most beautiful new cruisers with a ridiculously low price. It would be a great bike for newer riders. I'd love to add one to my collection.
Ya any bike can be fun, but the rider should understand it. I don't expect a review like this, you are so great. He is saying it from heart. For those who can't understand it, a test ride will learn you. There a 650 twin will come as Super Meteor.
after 10 or so years of only ever riding sport/sport touring bikes I was randomly offered a go on one of these, I can honestly say I didn't really miss the extra 60+hp or 3 cylinders it's just a nice relaxing easy ride you won't really want to go fast. I would like some better suspension, going over cobbles was an unpleasant experience also I could see this being better in a 650 parallel twin for pillion/motorway comfort but what really blew me away is it's so quiet and still has that nice bassy exhaust note. all in all great bike especially for beginners or people who like me are trying out cruisers for the first time...supposedly you can also get 600km out of a 15L tank which is pretty crazy it's gonna be great in the city.
Hi I'm from India 🇮🇳 live in New Delhi and I bought this bike 🚲 really amazing bike and great thing is balance 👌 I have staller black ⚫ model thanks man
Looks interesting. I wonder if the 350 Royal Enfield Meteor will be popular for younger riders (insurers permitting). Road tax for sub-400cc motorcycles is half the price of 600cc + bikes in the UK. Fuel consumption is rather lower too. I wonder how it compares to the popular late 70s Honda CB250 'Super Dream' bikes? (there was a 400 too) That was my first 'proper' new bike, I passed my test on it and used it for touring back then. The CB250 was a good sized, comfortable well behaved, economical and nice bike to ride, but struck me as a bit underpowered for it's top gear, so much so that you could go into top and find yourself slowing down with a headwind or a slight gradient.
plus point is chasis and engine are both designed in UK. talking about reliability they are competing with japanese brands in India and manage to beat them all. its a reliable bike because most people in India take RE to the Himalayas (thats why RE launched himalayan bike bec they are so popular there) which itself speak reliability bec nobody wants a bike to be dead in a cold mountain desert.
I have a question. In Britain why there is no leg guard in RE? here in India everyone buys legguard with their RE we rarely find an RE without leg guard here.
This is the best review I've seen about this bike, you were really having fun with it. I ordered the Fireball Red about a month ago and just waiting for it to arrive. Is the Windscreen worth getting? Thanks again.
@@artiecisneros4691 you won't be disappointed with the bike, I love mine, I've had it a week and put 100 miles on it. The cold weather is not stopping me. Have fun 😊
I'd certainly have one of these in the garage but not quite sure I'm ready for it to be the only bike. If you compare it to a 125 it costs little more, has 30% more power and about twice the torque. As a bike to commute on or potter about on sunny Sundays i can see it getting quite a following and not just as a 'beginner's bike' the oft over used term for anything with less than 1000cc or 200BHP.
Just got mine, supposed to come in March, so I'm using it in the cold. But I love it, it's absolutely excellent. I have been riding for 50 years and I have a xj 600 for speed. But this bike is great. ❤️ One thing, the screen on mine is rubbish
@@artiecisneros4691 the screen looks great, but it funnels the wind right into my helmet, the noise is to much. To be fair my helmet is not the best so maybe a full face helmet might improve matters
Okay, So I've watched a few reviews on these and, with pretty much every one I've watched, I'm left with the same question. Does that exhaust scrape when cornering? It certainly looks like it would.
Toe-heel shifter: Indian roads are not clean like in Europe or US. Potholes with mud, soil/sand on road and unpaved roads. A dirty shoe sole makes gear shifter dirty as well. Hence, no heel shifter means dirtier left leg shoes especially NO white clean sneakers.
... and it looks great. What about hills with 20bhp? Will I be holding traffic up please, it's not much faster than my 125 ZSB, but much more torquey I'll guess? Much enjoyed the review.

I am currently thinking to trade my 890 r for a royal enfield bike on road + a specific track bike.... then you upload this video.
That's a sign... i have to do it!! 😁🤘
Get video as always, I love your enthusiasm for anything on 2 wheels. It's great to see.
One of the best motorcycle reviews i ever saw. Honest, to the point, and funny at the same time. I like it a lot. Thank you. Greetings from Belgium
You done well getting a wheelie out of it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This is a great channel. Awesome content that always leaves me wanting to go for a ride :-)
Cheers Andrew, that's the plan.
ITS BETTER TO RIDE A SLOW BIKE FAST, THAN A FAST BIKE SLOW!
Cars too!
They need to bring the honda 350 over that recently come out, its gorgeous.
I wish they would but i dont think its coming to Europe, pity.
@@glendyble4725 its released in india...after some problems they again took some motorcycles back from the owner to rectify.
It's a pretty looking bike but it's having a lot of setbacks in asian market due to semi robotic feeling you get while riding .
its a good bike to. I have taken a test ride
Always a pleasure to watch Chris genuinely appreciating the motorcycles.
Unlike Indian “auto journos” who talk about the smallest thing as a huge problem.
Glad to see an Indian machine being reviewed in the most simplest way.
“Any motorcycle can be fun” -golden statement
This one is a fun delightful jolly and fresh feeling review. Nothing like any other reviews, so much joy in watching this video.
Haven't ridden in like 10 years. Finally decided I wanted to get back into riding. I'm a short dude, 5' 2'' tall. In all the bikes they had at the bike show, this was one of the few that I could touch the ground on. Perfect for a short guy getting back into the swing of biking!
Its good to know europeans are also short im 5.4 tall.u raised my spirit
Super presentation !!! really enjoyed
3 new royal enfield bikes coming soon
New RE Classic 350
Hunter (scrambler)
RE 650 cruiser
Super Meteor 650 coming?
Chris is the new benchmark in reviewing bikes..😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
you have really hit the nail on the head with this review! with fast bikes, and i have owned many, still have 650 yam, you just get stuck behind traffic all the time, if this bike is fun to ride as my cranky old bullet 500, I am having one
I'm in the U.S., plant to take the MSF course in the fall, and upon successful completion and license endorsement, plan to acquire one of these as my first bike.
I think I’m gonna get my MC permit and get one of these to learn on and just take the MC test on it :)
Excellent stuff! I'm a 55 yo old git, haven't riden a bike a CB250T since 1984? ... I've been thinking of getting a bike last few years... Sold, this is the bike I'll be going for.
Brilliant, let us know how you get on with it.

Well the Royal Enfield meteor 350 is awesome beginner bike. Its looks good, performance is good and smooth compared to previous gen 350's. Love the meteor 350 😄😄. 👍the review was very good.
Hello from India. :)
I'm so glad I saw this review video. I loved this and the New Classic 350, which I hope you'll review as well.
Royal Enfield has come a long long way. I own a twin cylinder Japanese bike and Royal Enfield is slowly getting close to the build quality.
Hi back! Keep watching for some really cool Royal Enfield vids coming soon...
It dosnt matter what bike i would have you would win around a track on that Meteor.
Wow! Ahhh! 🤣
For the price tag I will give this little fello 4 out of 5 🌟 it's surprisingly smooth, just enough pick up, thick cushionsy seat & yes it will cruise on highway comfortably like other cruiser 👍
If it has alittle more torque & top speed I will give it a 5!
Great video, well done.
I like the look of the new Classic version, hopefully they'll be available in the UK and Ireland soon.
Having ridden the Meteor I was dead impressed and have ordered one. The one thing I noticed on my test was the wind buffeting particularly around the helmet, did the screen on yours help or get rid of it? Good review by the way. Cheers👍
I ordered one also Fireball Red. I was also wondering about the Screen and if it's worth getting one or just go with the Flyscreen.
Most wind screens aren't tall enough, they bundle the air and push it over the edge. If that edge is shoulder high, your helmet gets it.
When I need/want a windshield I'll drive my car...
@@donaldoehl7690 If you live in the US you won't need a fairing for legal speeds! :)
@@donaldoehl7690 good for you.
Also included is 3 years warranty and 3 years breakdown cover.
The new colours with spoke wheels are gourgeous.❤
ive just come across this channel as i have a 350 enfield i can say this bloke is funny as like his humour and honesty top gear presenter right there i know he prefers bikes but hey so what
Couple have being touring around the world on a 1972 royal enfield 350 bullet-so far done 582,000 km.
Hey 👋🏻
I’m loving my RE Meteor Fireball Yellow 💛 & your video reminds me of my enthusiasm & love of the bike 😍
Best motorcycle review I have seen so far. Gratz guys.
never seen smone have this much fun and control over a cruiser
i myself have the supernova meteor , but i always get overwhelmed by its weight nd maneuverability
glad to see you ride it so effortlessly , gave me sm confidence to have more trust on the bike (mostly worried cuz of the indian roads)
Was actually quite impressed with the acceleration at the start!
Just had my vintage Vespa written off by a delivery driver, one of these on order next!
Not cheap. !!!! RE would rather you say inexpensive……. Is the windscreen taller than the one on the Himalayan ??? If it is , I need it !!😃
The windscreen of meteor is bigger than himalayan
Possible to make the video about Counter Steering... or steering of the motorcycle, (push right bar to go right....)
People go buy 200+hp bikes and don't know how to steer.... they actually go toward the danger instead of avoiding it.
(U.S. owner)
How did you get a dark red one with a windshield? I thought the windshields only come for the (ugly) 2-tone paint. I really like that combo.
Go to ROYAL ENFIELD OFFICIAL website and chose the bike you want to buy, under that you'll see there's an option called
"MAKE IT YOUR'S BOOKING"... All the variants can be customized and it has lots of more good color options too for all variants.. If it's not available in UK/USA, ask the dealers to book the customised one you saw/like in website... Lots of riders don't know about this..
Basically you can fit any official accessory to any model, after purchase. Booking time options are limited
Yes!!! a bike I can ride in flip flops!! Sign me up for one!!

I have not ridden a bike since a hart problem 5 years ago, don't need a fast one this looks perfect
Loved the video and the way you ride the bike.
It's one of the most beautiful new cruisers with a ridiculously low price. It would be a great bike for newer riders. I'd love to add one to my collection.
This was a very good review! It looks amazing and sounds great!
I'm from India. I booked a meteor 350 . And i need to say your video is very cool'nd fun ❤️
I just bought one in Colorado USA ,Now I have 2 Royal Enfields
@@Pound_Shift congratulations
Ya any bike can be fun, but the rider should understand it. I don't expect a review like this, you are so great. He is saying it from heart. For those who can't understand it, a test ride will learn you.
There a 650 twin will come as Super Meteor.
Best review of the meteor so far
after 10 or so years of only ever riding sport/sport touring bikes I was randomly offered a go on one of these, I can honestly say I didn't really miss the extra 60+hp or 3 cylinders it's just a nice relaxing easy ride you won't really want to go fast.
I downsized to a meteor because of advancing old age! It's a perfect choice. I love the thing.
Royal enfield is a big boy from now! No one talks about vibration issues anymore kudos
Hi I'm from India 🇮🇳 live in New Delhi and I bought this bike 🚲 really amazing bike and great thing is balance 👌 I have staller black ⚫ model thanks man
I can feel his joy when he says you can ride in flipflops 😂 .. biking gear is really a chore.. but is a must
Looks interesting.
It is the most beautiful bike I have seen in this segment.
not surprised at all - UK has top-notch engineering skills and RE was sensible enough to rely on them.
plus point is chasis and engine are both designed in UK. talking about reliability they are competing with japanese brands in India and manage to beat them all.
its a reliable bike because most people in India take RE to the Himalayas (thats why RE launched himalayan bike bec they are so popular there) which itself speak reliability bec nobody wants a bike to be dead in a cold mountain desert.
Race a 1250GS from J o'G to Lands end via Llandow (Race track) Just for the hell of it. I'd watch it.
Did you get the windscreen? I got one with mine and it's not good
@@tamar5261 Would you please elaborate? How tall are you?
@@artiecisneros4691 5'8", the screen looks great but sends the wind into my face. Maybe a full face helmet might improve matters
@@tamar5261 Thanks for replying. I ordered one a few months ago, still waiting here in the USA, I'm 5'9 and probably will have the same problem.
@@artiecisneros4691 you won't be disappointed with the bike, I love mine, I've had it a week and put 100 miles on it. The cold weather is not stopping me. Have fun 😊
Nice honest review, thanks 👍
I'd certainly have one of these in the garage but not quite sure I'm ready for it to be the only bike. If you compare it to a 125 it costs little more, has 30% more power and about twice the torque. As a bike to commute on or potter about on sunny Sundays i can see it getting quite a following and not just as a 'beginner's bike' the oft over used term for anything with less than 1000cc or 200BHP.
Getting this exact same bike next week as my first starter bike.
How I can ignore your smile 😃! Liked 👍
Just got mine, supposed to come in March, so I'm using it in the cold. But I love it, it's absolutely excellent. I have been riding for 50 years and I have a xj 600 for speed. But this bike is great. ❤️ One thing, the screen on mine is rubbish
What don't you like about the screen?
@@artiecisneros4691 the screen looks great, but it funnels the wind right into my helmet, the noise is to much. To be fair my helmet is not the best so maybe a full face helmet might improve matters
Okay, So I've watched a few reviews on these and, with pretty much every one I've watched, I'm left with the same question. Does that exhaust scrape when cornering? It certainly looks like it would.
We checked and it was only the pegs, wasn't much left of them though.
What?
RE are doing 650 versions of this as well
The Blue and black is really nice.
I love them, getting the stellar blue next week 👍
It'll be interesting to see what tuning/lightweight stuff becomes available for this.
... and it looks great. What about hills with 20bhp? Will I be holding traffic up please, it's not much faster than my 125 ZSB, but much more torquey I'll guess? Much enjoyed the review.
Merci pour votre présentation. Je crois que je vais l'acheter en plus à 53 ans il me faut une moto pour rouler tranquille.
