As you walked about the Baguio markets, I was seeing so many familiar sites that it was like I was there all over again. My wife and I would spend nearly a half day doing the marketing and I do remember the stairs, and the smells, and the sites, and I just want to say thank you for pushing my memories, and hope that you're enjoying your getting lost in those markets, I did every single time I was there.
Baguio has grown a lot. My first visit was for a week in 1980 to Uncle Bens home...no hot water in the shower, but they didn't warn me. I loved it!
Baguio really gives a different Vibe from any city in Ph
Cool climate, less noisy w/ shy type a bit reserved locals.
Baguio locals protect other locals, even if the other locals are criminals. That tells you a lot about a place.
@@infiltr80r Well, if we're talking about criminals then perhaps these are the residents of the city But usually are Not originally from the Cordilleras & that pertains more to them, I just don't want to mention a certain/specific groups.
@@cookiemurph8532 Perhaps, some are clearly originally from elsewhere going by the surnames. But I've encountered plenty of people who are also originally from the area if not the city and "play the game". They are highly proud and ignorant of the reality at the same time. This pride is nauseating when the city is completely rotten underneath.
Shame that people of Baguio expect to get treated equally abroad while treating the foreigners as garbage in return. In the end, what goes around comes around.
@@infiltr80r How does Baguio people treated foreigners as trash? Baguio or Cordillerans per se aren't that people/celebrity fanatic. When foreigners/tourist/celebrity come to Baguio, they'll be treated the same just like any other person. Don't come to Baguio and expect much to be treated more than like a Queens and Kings. Feeling highhorse. Service will be provided in accordance. And all are equal either you're originally resident or not. Discipline is also important.
These exploring videos are really enjoyable!
Thanks Normo, glad you like them!
I grew up here in Baguio and seen many outsiders do their vlogs here, so far ur the best i saw tbh you dont judge that much and you respect a lot. Thanks for that may more vloggers be like you. Btwthe strawberry price went down lol might go tomorrow and get some
We usually rent a room or house with a kitchen and the cheapest vegetables is located at the far end or that market, where they drop the vegetables directly from the farms.
Baguio is about food coma, veggie haul, strawberries, wearing a jacket, horseback riding, enjoying the weather and if your lucky a house with a fire place.
The prices there are certainly very reasonable and they have just about everything! Congrats on 18K and stay safe, Marshall!
Thanks Roy 20K is coming up fast.
@@marshallbuttersvlogs6880 must try food in baguio is dinakdakan, pinikpikan, and etag plus fruit wines and still coffee.
Baguio City is one of the best cities in the Philippines I hope to live there and get a property there maybe four years from now...Thanks for capturing Baguio City.❤❤
Best of luck!
Since you love coffee so much, when you get back to Mandaluyong I suggest visiting The Giving Cafe. It is owned by a barista who represented the country in the World Barista Championship. They are keen on educating people on roasting and tasting coffee. In fact, they train farmers in Itogon, Benguet on planting beans that can be exported to the West.
Thanks for the tip.
Wow! Cafe by the ruins
Red rice is so aromatic. I miss it. I think Farmer’s Daughter serves it with their dishes I hope you get to go and try their Pinikpikan.
Baguio Market use to be a playing ground for me after school. I would go get toys with the allowance I didn’t spend during the week.
Oh hi! Whoa, was randomly looking for “Baguio City vlogs” and saw yours, which I find very interesting. I was born and raised in Baguio and I considered this place as paradise and my solitude. Been living here in Bahrain for 6years and I really really miss my hometown, your vlog helped me coped up with homesickness. Keep safe, more Baguio Vlogs! 👊🏼 Btw, subscribed ☑️😊
Welcome aboard and I hope you feel better soon.
You must also try the Kalinga robusta .
Six years out from former residence would certainly be nostalgic. Maybe you can find some places you are familiar with in "Joe's Random Channel" here in YT
@@joestvreplica1819 indeed. Keepsafe
@@cassyperpose4933 not Joe's tv replica, it Joe's Random Channel that features videos about Baguio City
That market is usually chock full of tourists that's why its huge. Im not sure if PMA is open to visitors but I highly recommend you go there and witness the Saturday silent drill. Its the country's premier military academy. I lived there for three years.
Very nice
Missed my country Philippines ,the foods etc!!
The market looks very clean the neat gives it a 👋 five
Baguio is just awesome, I got in love with everything there.
I wish I had moved there when the pandemic started. I can't wait to go there again.
Explore Baguio City it's a beautiful mountain city with cool climate.
Good day Marshall , this video is one of your BEST 😊👍. The market looks great. Nice place to buy coffee beans too.
Another great video, Marshall. Can't wait to see you around. Stay safe!
Thanks! You too!
@@marshallbuttersvlogs6880 I literally just rented a condo really close to where you stay right now so... let's see haha enjoy your trip!
I always enjoy your market tours. For me its both enjoyable and memorable. Your interaction with the locals are hilarious. You have a flair dealing with the public and it's plus living abroad. I have always liked your style of storytelling. Please be mindful of Covid! Take care.
I love your vlogs showing us around Baguio! Hopefully I'll be able to visit it for myself if the Philippines ever opens up.
i'm not from Baguio but this is my favorite place outside manila. thanks for featuring this beautiful city in your vlogs Marshall! stay safe out there!
Love the Jeepney rides I love how they dress them out.
I just came across your video! Had you gone farther, you could have had a good smell of fresh aromatic herbs at Hangar Market, that place adjacent to the coffee store. It's nice to know what a foreigner thinks about my city. I'm glad you liked our huge market. There are plans for its improvement just yet, but yes, our city market is still a lot better than other markets in other cities and provinces.

Benguet, where Baguio is, is known for their excellent coffee!
Wow I watch my place Baguio thank you ❣️
Oh man, you reach a place where Baguio locals usually don't reached. Seems uv been to that narrow street corners of fruits, veggies and flowers.
I have been following you since the earlier times, this is a great video. I just did one in Dumaguete Market also. (Your video is better) but I will learn from it.. so thanks Marshall. Brissy Boy here. 🙂 Leah and Blair
Hi Marshall, enjoyed your video, it was a pleasure again. The market on some parts is really claustrophobic. These foodstalls reminded me on those in Japan. No privacy there. Too bad you missed your favorite eyes balls. Hopefully you will be lucky next time 😉
Part 2 sounds about right. Will keep an eye on that. Stay safe.
Classic and healthy Baguio invitation for everyon. "Let's go for a bit of a walk." 🥰
Welcome to Baguio City, Benguet, Sir. Enjoy and keep safe. 🙏🙏🙏
You can pretty much go around Baguio with local taxis. Try Benguet Strawberry Farm and Tam-awan village (try chicken pinikpikan).
What's everyone's favorite strawberry picking farm? Benguet?
Interesting 🧐 … 👍 coffee in baguio
I remember when i went to Baguio 4 years ago .I bought those black and red rice 2 kilos each ,and also the Benguet , and Sagada coffee are good coffee. It is nice to bring something, and try it to your home you can appreciate more.
I bet the coffee smell was absolutely heavenly in that area!
Thanks for the market tour. The flower market is amazing.
Very nice video old man
nice,,, giving us update tour on Baguio,
Thank you. We will be there this Feb. 😊 Oh my gulay, cafe by the ruins, camp John Hay... Keep safe.
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you 😊 marshall for the tour and I love it 😻. Waiting for the next vlog take care buddy!😊😊😊
I haven’t comment in awhile however I watch your videos every time. You can use one of those French Press to make coffee. Brand name is Mr. Coffee and you can buy it anywhere. It cost about maybe 600-700 pesos. You can even use it to mix whatever milk you want to use. There you go you’ve got a delicious coffee. Take care Marshall...ingat please.
Yes, a small French Press is the best contraption which doesn’t cost much, is portable and produces decent coffee! Of course, next, is a coffee grinder whether manually or electrically operated.
Thanks for the tip Amalia.
WOW, that is a huge market with lots of nice finds. Thanks for the great walking tour!! Stay safe on your travels. Wonder what the housing rental options are there.
You could get a better idea from Reena Roberts on her channel James.. She lives there.
You can also buy coffee beans from baguio in sm malls. They mostly have stalls in groundfloor of sm malls.
New sub here Marshall! Thanks for featuring each lovely town in our beloved country, Philippines! Takes my homesickness away! Stay safe always! 👍🏻
