    Bought a summilux 15mm f1.7 recently for my gx7 and the quality of photographs has indeed improved.
    The reason that I would upgrade to a gx9 say, would be if my camera failed 👍

    Which one do you recommend for shooting commercial videos or short films? Fuji xt200, canon m50, panasonic g85, canon 80d

    I dont get why a lower f stop is related to 'better'. Its just a lens that gives you bokeh capability, it doesnt affect the picture quality. It's like saying a 100 dollar lens with 1.8 is better than a 1000 dollar 2.8 lens. its a nice thing to have, to use, it surely changes the image due to bokeh, but thats not picture quality.

    • @pangpengmaster
      @pangpengmaster 6 месяцев назад

      not just bokeh, it gives you more space to breath in low light.

    But the body that I'm using is OOOOLLLD...
    I'm using the Sony a5000..
    so, will I see a bigger upgrade in the image quality, if I buy:
    A) Sony a6000 but use the kit lens..
    or
    B) use a Sigma 16 mm f1.4 on the old Sony a5000?
    So for 500$ should I just grab the sigma 16mm f1.4 for my old Sony a5000
    or should I grab a brand new Sony a6000?
    I've used a 55-200mm lens on the Sony a5000 and the footage still didn't look too great in outdoor lighting conditions.
    Please reply, it would mean the world to me 🙏

      Please reply me I am in the same dilemma with you, which did you later purchase and how is it going? I need help

    • @DebzLife
      @DebzLife 3 года назад +2

      @@bychinnysmenu I have come to the conclusion that the body should be my first purchase.. coz.. it has a much bigger quality boost, better colour science, better HDR, more features for audio, customisation, etc. the lens will boost the quality, but there's no point in giving a macbook to a toddler. similarly, there's no point in buying a good lens, if your body is as crappy as mine.. coz even a cine lens can't rescue my camera body's terrible quality.
      I haven't bought anything yet. My plan it to get the Sony a6100, because it's in my budget, has 4k, and much better colours.
      Then, I might get a cheap lens for it.. like the Sony 16mm f2.8.. the sony 16 f2.8 won't be anywhere near an expensive sigma lens, but, it will still be a slight step up from the sony kit lens.. plus, it'll have a shallower depth of field.

    • @DebzLife
      @DebzLife Год назад

      @@vortexempires6194 stick with the a7sii. The quality is already very sharp, and the difference between the sii and siii is negligible. It's mostly in color science. I'd personally upgrade lenses.

    nice tips! I love my GX85 😀 . what if in the upcoming video, you make a vertical video that is now in trend? definitely interesting enough to see your typical b roll in a vertical video.

      Hmm I don't think I'll be following that trend because I really like the cinematic look of a horizontal video, which you don't get when filming vertically :/ - but thank you for the suggestion :))

    Just a question, does every lens has their own sizes or it fits any camera like my Nikon D3100?

    • @teocrawford
      @teocrawford  3 года назад +2

      Every lens has a certain mount. Usually each camera- / lens-brand has their own mount, for example Sony mirrorless cameras have the so called "e-mount". Therefore Sony e-mount lenses only fit on cameras with a Sony e-mount. Usually when you search a lens the mount is in the description or the title of the offer👍🏼

    Question I shoot fashion and beauty and I notice when I zoom I. To the face it’s not sharp
    I am shooting with the canon 5d mk ii and the 24-70 2.8.........I want full sharpness so would you recommend I get the canon 5d mk iii
    Or Invest in another lens

    • @teocrawford
      @teocrawford  3 года назад +3

      Hmm actually your setup is really good, I wouldn't see a reason to upgrade anything - the sharpness problem must be something else, because just getting a new lens or a camera would not solve that kind of a problem🤔
