just bought this vacuum a few weeks ago and it is by far the best vacuum cleaner ive ever used, my previous vacuum was an old Bissell. i get excited whenever i have to vacuum the house, vacuuming isnt even a chore anymore, it's more of a hobby now lol
Never thought I’d be happy about vacuuming, but this little fella is very strong and easy to use. I have neuropathy in both my hands and feet. This makes it easy for me to use
Over the years I have purchased many Dyson products because of their quality, innovation, as an "International Chartered Engineer", their ethos appealed to me. I purchased this machine 1 year ago, and have been impressed with it, especially the Laser scanner in the motorised head, if you think your floor is clean, then use this feature, then think again (best used in low light. The Articulated joint for accessing beneath Beds, tables (low items of furniture was also welcome). BUT this is where the honeymoon ends. As I have already mentioned, I purchased a Dyson Detect exactly 1 year ago, BUT there is a defect in the articulating adaptor, it has ceased to lock, and keeps collapsing from what I can see, it is a combination of design and poor material quality in both the locking mechanism the shrouding/support material. Now to my biggest gripe (There is absolutely NO support for Retail customers (end users) with Dyson it is Impossible, they want to sell you their products, then, you are on your own! They (Dyson) seem to consider that a "Community Chat forum" or contact via a Social media is a substitute for product support./ I DO NOT HAVE/Subscribe to ANY SOCIAL MEDIA, as that medium is a MAJOR security risk, I will NOT discuss issues with an anonymous "Community Chat Group" which comprises a group of retail users, (THEY ARE NOT DYSON SUPPORT) Dyson does NOT provide any email support and their online BOT is useless. SO, basically, now, if you have an issue and are a Retail Customer (end user) you are on your own. Based upon this current experience would I buy another Dyson product. NO. Pity as until now had very good experience with DYSON, and purchased many products, but their lack of direct customer support is appalling. I stayed with Dyson because of their reputation, but, NOW that respect has been severely tarnished/Gone.
Great machine. I was using my old vacuum cleaner for the whole house, after it I took the Dyson. It lasts one room, then the dust bin was full 😮. After cleaning next room same result, full dust bin. All the time I was using the standard mode. You will hear the power goes up where more dirt is. All along the way u move, sit etc. It is amazing how it detects dirt
Went in store to see this while deciding whether to buy one. Loved the performance and feel of it. Prefer a video tutorial of how to fit together. A The ‘reach under tool’ would have been a quick addition to this video on how it attaches and how it’s used along with the othe attachments that’s been shown. Thanks for the video I have found it useful.
We have owned and still own several Dyson products. I can’t explain the level of frustration we are experience with Dyson Support in resolving a problem with our V12. In less than a year the Motorbar cleaner head is inoperable and doesn’t work. So far we have been sent two replacement cleaner heads. Both were the wrong heads. It’s has been such a time consuming experience, with any resolution in sight. We are looking into unloading and selling all of our Dyson purchases and will tell everyone we know to reconsider their own purchases.
Hey,I live in Germany and today saw dyson v 12 on discount, thought it was the perfect purchase and now have some doubts...was it really worth the money? And what would you recommend as replacement? Brand?

the 'light pipe crevice tool' shown in this video must be an add-on tool with this unit correct? are there add'l tools that are used on this V-12 model? love the ease of use of this vacuum!
Great question! There are additional tools for the V12 that can be purchased online. Please click on the country on the bottom of the Dyson.com site to choose your country and find the tools available.

@@tizme2311 Isn't that joint only used to get under beds and furniture though? If it doesn't lock, that just means you have to switch it out when you're done, no? Annoying but at least it's still functional for it's intended purpose, unless I'm missing something. They sell "knockoffs" of those on Amazon for around $20 but I've seen people have the same issue.
Hi there, The wall dock that is included with our cord-free machines will store two tools, however the floor tools are too large and won't store on the dock. You can store them any place where you might keep vacuum tools. Depending on where you're located, we may also have tool storage bags available on our website.
Awesome question! You can leave your cord-free on the charger at all times. The only thing we would suggest is allowing your machine some time to cool down after use (especially if using in MAX mode), so you don't harm the battery by charging it while warm.

Nah, there's also less power in the V12 - only 30% more than the V8 (compared to 100% more with the V15) and the V15's normal carpet head is more advanced (against hair in particular)
Hi Gabu Sitoula, Yes you can. However, the Laser Slim Fluffy™ cleaner head is most effective on hard floors as it's engineered with soft nylon and anti-static carbon fibre filaments to remove dust from hard floors. The Motorbar™ cleaner head is designed for hard floors or carpet as it gives a deep clean with the Stiff nylon bristles drive deep into carpet to remove ground-in dirt.

Hi Tamika. Thanks for dropping us a message. The Dyson V12 Detect Slim™ cordless vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum that doubles as a stick vacuum as well as a portable handheld, which works great for cleaning your car.
Hi Sherwin, thanks for showing interest in our products. We do not have an estimated due date as to when this specific product will be released in the UK. We suggest you keep your eye on our website for updates in this regard. Have a lovely eveneing, stay safe and take care.
I really do wish that I would've bought this instead of my V-8 Absolute. Not that there's anything wrong with my V8 Absolute, it's just those green laser lights do something for me. 😂

Warning! No replacement battery for V12 seems to be available. Once the battery goes out you will have to replace the vacuum. This battery has been out of stock for at least a year. Did Dyson do this intentionally? We just purchased the vacuum but am disgusted because we cannot purchase a spare battery as Dyson recommends.

Just sad they had to remove the trigger on this one... the only reason I'd want a wireless one - makes it feel like I'm blasting the germs away. Reloading with a second battery and keep going 😎
Laser dust detection is awesome... But I was hoping like to see mop head to be introduce by now from Dyson. Else your market will soon be taken over by robot mop and vacumn cleaner very soon.
That red button is really annoying to look at, the lock button should be on the screen, simpler and better. If there is no red button i want to buy it, but in the end i chose the digital slim because it's light and suitable for Asian people like me.

It’s great product. But, I don’t like ON-OFF switch. Customer can using one hand and stop immediately by release the finger for STOP in v11. But, v12 not!!
We would certainly look into this for you. Please send us a DM on our support channels or customer service(chat or phone) so that we can gather more information and resolve this issue for you.

just bought this vacuum a few weeks ago and it is by far the best vacuum cleaner ive ever used, my previous vacuum was an old Bissell. i get excited whenever i have to vacuum the house, vacuuming isnt even a chore anymore, it's more of a hobby now lol
Never thought I’d be happy about vacuuming, but this little fella is very strong and easy to use. I have neuropathy in both my hands and feet. This makes it easy for me to use
One of the best user guide video! No useless content. Two thumbs up!
I appreciate that too!
Literally just bought it from Dyson in Ireland. Oh boy what a pleasant surprise! It's the best thing I ever bought for myself as an adult lol 😂👍

Wow I'm getting MEGA asmr tingles from this quiet, methodical unboxing prodcedure
The best vacuum cleaner you can bought!
I got one V12 and used it for a month. This is the best vacuum cleaner.
Great to hear, Durong! We appreciate your support.
Brand?
MINE SUCKS!! They won’t answer me with any help on how to return, customer service is AWFUL
never regret to buy this vacuum.. so strong suction
Recently buy V12 last week and really happy and no regrets buy this one eventhough very expensive😂 greetings from indonesia

the 'light pipe crevice tool' shown in this video must be an add-on tool with this unit correct? are there add'l tools that are used on this V-12 model? love the ease of use of this vacuum!

Can’t wait for the next model
Is there a way to store the 2 additional vacuum heads?
Hi there,
The wall dock that is included with our cord-free machines will store two tools, however the floor tools are too large and won't store on the dock. You can store them any place where you might keep vacuum tools. Depending on where you're located, we may also have tool storage bags available on our website.
Should it still be charging even if it is fully charged? Or should it not be charging?
Awesome question! You can leave your cord-free on the charger at all times. The only thing we would suggest is allowing your machine some time to cool down after use (especially if using in MAX mode), so you don't harm the battery by charging it while warm.
@@dyson thanx for the super fast reply.

Hi Anna, thanks for getting in touch. The ideal head would be the yellow fluffy head. Have a lovely day, stay safe and take care.
Does this fit under couches and bed frames like the Swiffer duster does?
Yes, there are attachments for this machine to assist with this.
The only difference between V12 and V15 is the bin size, right?
Nah, there's also less power in the V12 - only 30% more than the V8 (compared to 100% more with the V15)
and the V15's normal carpet head is more advanced (against hair in particular)
Smaller engine, smaller bin and smaller battery
And then there's the one-button operation, not the trigger.

Can I use either head on carpet and hardwood floor?
Hi Gabu Sitoula, Yes you can. However, the Laser Slim Fluffy™ cleaner head is most effective on hard floors as it's engineered with soft nylon and anti-static carbon fibre filaments to remove dust from hard floors. The Motorbar™ cleaner head is designed for hard floors or carpet as it gives a deep clean with the Stiff nylon bristles drive deep into carpet to remove ground-in dirt.

I stayed with Dyson because of their reputation, but, NOW that respect has been severely tarnished/Gone.
Just sad they had to remove the trigger on this one... the only reason I'd want a wireless one - makes it feel like I'm blasting the germs away. Reloading with a second battery and keep going 😎
After a month your tired of it and wished it had just a button
V15 is trigger
Laser dust detection is awesome... But I was hoping like to see mop head to be introduce by now from Dyson. Else your market will soon be taken over by robot mop and vacumn cleaner very soon.
That red button is really annoying to look at, the lock button should be on the screen, simpler and better. If there is no red button i want to buy it, but in the end i chose the digital slim because it's light and suitable for Asian people like me.
They (Dyson) seem to consider that a "Community Chat forum" or contact via a Social media is a substitute for product support./
I DO NOT HAVE/Subscribe to ANY SOCIAL MEDIA, as that medium is a MAJOR security risk, I will NOT discuss issues with an anonymous "Community Chat Group" which comprises a group of retail users, (THEY ARE NOT DYSON SUPPORT) Dyson does NOT provide any email support and their online BOT is useless.
SO, basically, now, if you have an issue and are a Retail Customer (end user) you are on your own.

That canister looks super small

bro label your parts in your boxes, i almost threw away 3 of them before watching this video
Samsung - fold screen.
Dyson - i can scans the dust type dude.
It’s great product. But, I don’t like ON-OFF switch. Customer can using one hand and stop immediately by release the finger for STOP in v11. But, v12 not!!
Majority of people prefer the on-off button so they don't have to hold down the button for a prolong period.
How to repair
