I love your mindset about raising children. That's exactly how I raise mine. It really feels good to see fellow ladies that have same mindset about raising children. Well done beautiful Neze.
Neze u're so right. When I got married and found out that the man I married cannot even boil rice as u said, i was so disappointed because my mother trained us in my family in such a way that even my brothers cooks even better than we the girls and now their wives are enjoying it. So I have three boys and a girl, my first son is 24yrs, second son 22yrs and all of them does their chores so well and i virtually do no chores again in the house unless i feel like cooking because they cook so well. My daughter is 20 and she cooks very well. Thank u for reminding mothers to do their motherly role wella. GOD bless u Neze ❤
It's the Temitope for me😂😂😂😂. I also hope that the parents of their future wives are doing same to their daughters honestly. Imagine how sweet the future would be😊
If there’s one positive impact you’ve made in my life it should be in one of your relocation videos where you talked about something like this, coincidentally I watched that vlog with my 4 kids , I have them just like you(3 boys and a girl 😊), from that day, my boys felt challenged and have been doing chores around the house. Thank you boo ❤
I had just 4 boys and I relocated to uk when my 1st son was 14 yrs old. I made sure that my children knew how to clean cook and watch clothes. Today, my 4 boys can cook soup, stew rice, fried and jollof. Back in 9ja I had maid and they were not doing much but as soon as I relocated I had to teach them because there was no maid. I am so happy because when I visit them now in uk. They cook traditional food for me. I travel with egusi, ogbonor, dry fish and other ingredients to uk and share it amongst all of them. Today they are 33 to 24yrs old and their girlfriends use to commend their cooking prowess. They hardly eat outside. I traveled with koboko to uk with my children. My son was 17yrs when I stop raising the cane 😂 but it helped. I didn't have to use it if it's not necessary but for the fact that I have the rod, my children behaved. I am so grateful to God because I gave them good upbringing and it's worked out well.
Neze you are so right with all the tips. I don’t know if it’s laziness , lack of patience or ignorance that has contributed towards bad parenting in this age. A child’s formative years are so important. Even the Bible says to TRAIN up a child in THE way that he SHOULD go and when he is old he will not depart from it. There is a right way. ❤
Parenting changed even from my time. My son is 39 and my daughter is 35. No one knows it all I keep learning from my children. It’s a continuous learning process. Every one does chores in Africa. I think you are on the right course. I did not have any house help. Buy a rice cooker for your husband. I had my children in London so I had to make them learn. I follow up all the You did the right thing. My son is so domesticated that his wife is taking advantage of him. I had to teach them from small beginnings Don’t teach them selectively make to understand that respect is retrospective. Neze you are singing my song. They must respect right there and then. Neze it’s like you and I belong to the same class you attended. I agree with everything you say.
Bravo Neze, I love your kind of parenting👏 . That is EXACTLY how to do it. My husband is a Nigerian man, and he is VERY handy in the kitchen, cleaning/laundry (even though I prefer to do those myself) 😂 and anything needed around the home. He can look after himself when I'm away because his mother taught him from young. So keep on doing what you are doing. They will thank you in the end.😊🎉❤
Neze, your model is my mother's model, and that is mine too. I have 2 children, 9 and 4. 9 yrs washes toilets sweep the house, do the dishes and laundry. 4 yrs take out trash from the toilet and take to big trash downstairs They both arrange their beds when they wake up. 9 yr old cooks noddles for them We all cook together. As for respect, my children know the consequences of misbehaving whether at home or outside. The elder one takes care of his younger brother no fikim from the younger one. We live in the USA ooh.
Hmmm, 🤔 my lovely Sis, Neze. I am short for words you and have said it ALL. I admire your hard work in bringing your lovely children up to be respectable men and woman in the future. Life isn't easy these days to raise children but by the grace of God. I am immensely grateful and proud of you and you family. May God surround you all with His hedge of fire 🔥. Amen!👏
Thank you so much Neze for this video, I'd appreciate more of such videos for single parents who had to do it all by themselves and how do you curve an overboard older sibling that he/she doesn't become a bully. Thank you so much ❤
Thank you for this video. It confirmed that I'm on the right track with raising my children in terms of chores and respect. Teaching them early how to do chores has saved my life in this Australia 🙌🏽
Always glad to watch your videos, there are new things to learn, thank you Neze. I'm the only girl among 5 boys, but in my home, my mum doesn't know difference girl, or boy all same training. Hahahahaaa! Just like you are doing to those wonderful kings. ❤
God bless you Neze. I get impatient with my children when they are not doing the chores well but I am learning from you how be firm with these training. I have 2 daughters and 1 son.
Thanks for sharing, Neze - such great parenting tips! 👏🏾❤️ I absolutely love your content and your beautiful family. You’re my twin flame when it comes to raising kids in 2024, and I’m not even a mum yet!
Thanks Neze, we share the same sentiments about chores and respect. Got 3 girls oldest 10 and I'm teaching them chores. I can do better though and there is still room for improvement as we haven't started cooking. My partner is very domesticated and I'm so thankful. I had promised my self to domesticate the boy child if I ever had one, but wasn't lucky. He got away with it. Thanks so much
There is a 75 year study from Harvard which states that children who did chores at a young age, grew up more successful and happier. I would like to add that you and your husband should also read bedtime stories to your children and they will enjoy reading as they grow older. You can borrow books weekly from the public library to read to them . Another thing if you are able, expose them to piano lessons and Tai chi . Peter Jennings announced on NBC television several years ago that children who play the piano tend to have better mathematical skills.!
I agree with you 200%. Not engaging male children in house chores is a recipe for disaster. Some will rush into the wrong partner only because they need someone to cook and clean for them 😄. Being able to do house chores is a skill that everyone should know. Just like swimming, driving (at the appropriate age), cooking, and being able to administer basic first aid.
I’m grateful to have a man who is highly domesticated, his mum did a great job and I love her for that and more, I’m sure together we would raise well domesticated children too because that principle is what he also believes in, it’s one thing as a woman to want to raise your children well but your spouse can act as a barrier to achieving this.
Hi Neze, Your parenting style is a 💯 similar to mine, no joke. And I realized something, you and I have so many similarities. I too have 3 boys & a girl (4kids). I too was married young, I got married at 23yrs to an amazing man and we are on our 13th year of marriage. Your content is so relatable and I enjoy it so much. May God continue to bless your household. Love from Namibia 🇳🇦
I quite agree with you. I raised my same way. Even while in Nigeria 🇳🇬, with two housemaid living in portharcourt, I encouraged my to support the maid's in the house. Life became very easy now we are in the UK 🇬🇧.
Growing up I was the child they had working like a house help, we made it to America and let me just say I’m grateful I was treated as such cuz when u looked at the 3 of us im the one who has done well for myself here. I braid hair, I do nails, I graduated college in social work n now back for another degree. My children would be domesticated no matter the gender👌🏾
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉Neze you are very right oooooo, some other people you will see dem and laugh in side, because of the way they behave in their house both the parents and children.
Very apt Neze. You hit the major point. Chores for both gender help build a responsible society.how are u with pregancy? Willing to share your journey?please do if you can.
am like you o. I have 1 , 3 and 5 yld and I make they clean up after themselves. When we go groceries shopping, once I come back. They know to start taking thing in, I will give them the once’s they can carry o.
You are right Neze. I live here in Belgium and I do same too. I allow the boys to laid their bed, wash their dishes and if they fail I scold them. Etc ❤❤❤❤
I agree with all you've said but one. The one of assigning a certain amount of respect to the oldest. It directly contradicts the point of respecting everyone. Raise every child to love and respect every deserving person. If conflict arises the love and respect with always bring them together and see them through.
Please in addition to chores, be your Children's safe space 🙏 10 year olds are having sex, and it isn't their fault but because of the circumstances, it could have been avoided if they could talk to a grown up. Please mothers make your daughters your friends, so they will be free with you
May God continue to bless you mummy NEZE ❤am a house made in Oman 🇴🇲 OMG all what you said here they don't have non I don't know if it's tradition or what ?😢😢even there under whereas we wash for them what they only know is to eat and sleep 😢😢respect them no get for ther parents who are we as a made 😀 may what am going through right now not locate my Children in future Ameen 🙏mummy NEZE you're the Best 🙏❤❤
The funny thing is , some of these husbands were raised well. Infact, some of them knew how to do chores and even cook. But once they get married, I think their “African mentality” about women managing the home, just makes them become lazy. I feel like, As much as we teach them how to do chores, we should also talk to their mentality and always remind them to make themselves useful wherever they are. It starts from going to sleepover at your grandparents / cousin’s place, let them wake up and not just be running about. Let them find something they can do to help around the house, depending on their age. . That’s what I always encourage my kids to do. So that, that culture will be well imbibed by them. If that makes sense.
I love this. I'll watch it again with my mum to hear her perspective. I have two kids currently 4 yo girl and less than 1 yo boy. Now the baby is at a biting age where if he doesnt get his way he fights with his teeth. I was telling my mum that baby keeps dragging sis and bitting her mum says in a way its good let him show her he's the man of the house. Ermm excuse me from his private part you know he's a man he doesnt need to be viol3nt to show anything. They need to respect each other. Another thing about respect, we were at her cousin's, he's 8 this boy farted in front of adults and walked away not once and it shock me. My 4 yo can't try it I am not saying I'm perfect the chores one i am working on. It took me watching a video by adaeze space where her last daughter was folding cloth to make me wake up with my daughter
Their are some men that does everything as child, but immediately they are adults they stop doing it even when they are married they will do nothing for their wife. God will help us do the rest and leave the rest for God.

I am not married yet, but I do my best to teach the boy child that beating a girl to show superiority is wrong
So much had effected the human race from those days and I believe you’re going to list few of them in this video
The funny thing is , some of these husbands were raised well. Infact, some of them knew how to do chores and even cook. But once they get married, I think their “African mentality” about women managing the home, just makes them become lazy.

Pls let us correct the mistakes of our mothers ❤️
Their are some men that does everything as child, but immediately they are adults they stop doing it even when they are married they will do nothing for their wife.
God will help us do the rest and leave the rest for God.
Foundation in a marriage is very key!
Pls pls pls be careful what you accept and overlook from day 1.
Don't train another person's child in the name of house help, and leave your own .. that's quite deep
I'm the first o😂💃
My husband was a spoilt boy..He did no chores cos he had many younger ones🙄..He can cook, but doesnt , He is a GREAT husband but i am yet to have a son and ,i am going to change this..God help me.
Thanks my daughter. I wish I had started this earlier I.e. getting my kids to do chores and be consistent.
