I don't think its very confusing that more of the general public are listening to this people who are supposedly " normal " are increasingly attracted to things that are disturbing ie serial killer documentaries ,shows on Netflix plus without sounding like a dumb ass take a look around at the world as of late its a fucking mess, that being said i actually like this band and this lp and their ep,s the music and lyrics are really good however while it's somewhat cathartic to listen to, to a point its also extremely disturbing i can't listen to this every day but thats kind of the point of good art its supposed to elicit a response from those consuming it and lets be honest whether someone is into sludge metal or noise rock or whatever you'd like to call chat pile the music will definitely elicit a response good or bad lol

This is better, but Ken Mode latest album is a lot like this, a bit more heavy, it's also disturbing and has some sax.

for me slaughterhouse is also such a fucked up song, just the line "you never forget their eyes" and the riff that kicks in at 2:28 is just so fuckign heavy on that track.

My favourite album of 2022, alongside Meshuggah - Immutable and Nu Genea - Bar Mediterraneo (for something on the complete opposite side of the spectrum haha).

I want Brad to listen to The Dark Bleeding. Its a Blackened Noise EP by Emit and it also has this weird popularity online. Despite nothing else from Emit even being known by fans of The Dark Bleeding.

The okc scene has blown up the past few years. Chat Pile, Cursetheknife, Downward, Black Magnet, Money, and Mad Honey are all amazing. They often do shows with amazing Texas bands too. It's kinda like a shared scene. I've lived in Oklahoma my entire life and I haven't been this excited and inspired by my state's music in forever.
