I saw them in London and they spent time talking about all the movies that were shot in London and talked about how during their down time they like to visit film sets. They were encouraging people to shout out films shot in London and the biggest pop was when someone shouted Four Lions.
Saw them in Toronto, did the same thing for us about the movies and books met him about 5 times throughout the night, very kind but i for sure could tell he wasnt too used to the praise but man was he so nice. met the full band at the end of the night best show ive ever been to
I was there!! In the front row!!! I was a dummy and forgot earplugs and my hearing was absolutely fucked for about a week. Absolutely worth it, but definitely learned a lesson as far as protecting my ears goes lol. They’re definitely my favorite band and the show was incredible. I went absolutely feral ❤
I was at that show. Accidentally headbutted a dude in the nose during the Chat Pile set. Caught Covid. Fun times. I love Nerver and Chat Pile. First time I ever moshed too. It was a fantastic show.
God I wish I could see them live if they ever come through my state, that bass sounds nasty! Also, I think they had the image of the car running into a building because they joke on their twitter about how "The two main types of people who live in OKC are stomp-clap mega church yuppies and people who regularly crash their car into the side of a house." and constantly post screenshots of recent headlines whenever someone from oklahoma rams a car into a building lmao
You know what’s so interesting to me? The music that chat pile makes is pretty off putting to most people I know here in LA. LOS ANGELES. To be artists making such raw and different music in a tiny town in Oklahoma is insane. I’ve been to small towns, and got dirty looks for even exposing a tattoo. I can’t imagine putting this kind of art of there in a place that likely won’t openly accept it. It’s the least likely place I thought this kind of music would come from. It’s a message to us to be who you are and make the art you want regardless of your surroundings. I love that.
Somewhere on youtube, there’s a video montage of a Norm McDonald stand-up with Chat Pile in the background and I will be forever grateful for this
