The older I get, the blues roots of almost all American music is what has diversified my musicial taste out from a stereotypical metal head, to someone who listens to the folk, industrial, country, punk, hip hop, and rock. The common through line that is the blues, woven through all of those genres, is where I can find my enjoyment.

Hey, Papa was a rolling stone is the best with Stormy Monday. But yeah, it sucks that Slash can't do business with this. I think this is what he really loves to do and that we all love about him, this is when he express everything, when he got fun. I'd love to have more of this amazing shit!!!
So far so good for this record. I've heard maybe 3,or 4 tunes on it. I love slashes style. It's raunchy, blues based, hard rock from the gut!! I'm not a big fan of ultra shred. Steve Via, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malstien. I can appreciate what they do. But they don't move me. Slash, Jimmy Page, Jimmy Hendrix, John Mayer etc etc.
Slash is at his best when he's rooted in the blues. Glad to hear this album. It's the genre he belongs in. Hope he does more albums like this. It's better than anything we'll get from gnr at this point.
Eric Clapton really did a terrific job on this. Slash has it nailed, too. Wonderful job! This is 👍 great. Thanks for pointing this version out. I'm glad I got to hear it.
Holy shit. Every time slash comes out with something, it just reinforces my belief that he should have left Guns and Roses ages ago ages ago. That man can rock like no other. Everything he touches turns to gold. One of the most amazingly talented guitarists of our lifetime

Rockin' blues album. All the songs come alive with the individual singers that appeared collectively. Different vibe than Slash's first solo album. I hope Slash can get some guest singers to tour with him & the Conspirators featuring Miles Kennedy.

I like it, prefer the cream at winter lands version on which this is based. I have never heard anyone nail it the way cream did, even that riff never seems to be right. Only Clapton knows how he specifically did it. Someone should ask him. I have heard many covers but they never sound quite right.
Who needs caffeine (or any artificial energy-booster) when you can let this blast? When I saw this on the tracklist I knew it would have a great groove (similar to Cream's versionin terms of tempo) The type of guitar (Gibson 335? Wild guess.) and Gary''s voice is just amazing to recreate that 60s vibe
