Hello Elijah, It's wonderful to see that you are still learning with us, and we are so happy to know that you have been enjoying the lessons. Congratulations on finishing this series on the Korean Alphabet! You did a fantastic job with your name! Often, there are several possible ways to write names in Hangul. While I'm not entirely sure about the exact pronunciation of your name, I think that 엘라이자 or 일라이자 could be more accurate versions. This is because the ㄹ as the initial consonant of a syllable is pronounced as "r" and not "l". However, when two ㄹ meet, both are pronounced as "l". We’ll be covering this in more detail in tomorrow’s lesson on the pronunciation of ㄹ: ruclips.net/video/XqSgkwXUv-4/видео.html We wish you a lot of success and fun learning Korean. For the next three weeks, we'll be publishing pronunciation rules, but then we'll start the Korean for Beginners playlist. Happy learning!
안녕하세요, 락파 씨! Thank you for watching and congratulations on finishing the Korean alphabet series. Great job on your Korean, you seem to know a lot already! Just a small correction: '저는 락파입니다. 저는 네팔 사람입니다.' or '네팔에서 왔어요. 한국을 사랑해요.' Keep up the great work! 😊
My name should be 말커 If you're interested in my feedback... This series was great 🙂. Unfortunately, the amount of rules to keep in mind is overwhelming... 🙁 (I understand it's the way it is and nothing can be done about it) Also, I struggle to tell symbols apart in handwritten Hangul. Maybe for beginners it would be simpler to start with computer symbols and only switch to handwriting as a second step.
안녕하세요! 말커! Congratulations on finishing the Korean Alphabet playlist despite being overwhelmed at times. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear you enjoyed the series. It’s true that there are many rules, and it can feel overwhelming at times. Remember, you don’t need to memorize everything right away. Focusing on the fundamental rules for Batchim, Liaison, and placeholders will help you build a solid foundation. The other rules will naturally reinforce themselves as you progress through the “Korean for Beginners” playlist. We understand your concern about handwritten Hangul. We emphasize the handwriting because the stroke order is important for learning to write correctly. You’ll find that in the Korean for Beginners playlist, we also use computer font and we take our time to ensure you grasp everything comfortably. Just keep an eye on a few letters that look different in handwriting versus print, specifically ㅅ, ㅈ, ㅊ, and ㅎ. Thank you again for your thoughts! We appreciate your engagement and are here to support you, if you need any help. All the best, Hyunok and Gerhard
