Lovely job, as usual. I like the fact that you own your mistakes and after-thoughts, however small or easily remedied they are. It's something I've learned to do, too, because I feel it's important to be authentic - for myself as much as for the sake of the viewer. It's interesting to see how mistakes are remedied. Your models always end up looking wonderful, and the authentic tale of how it came into being is more informative and engaging. Cheers for another great video.

Thanks so much Merrick, it’s definitely tempting to cut out the mistakes because it doesn’t seem necessary for the video but in reality it’s one of the most important pieces of information for someone wanting to follow along. I’m so happy that you still enjoy watching, and likewise I always enjoy seeing you post tutorials, you diorama bases video was superb! I’m gonna have to check out the scenic materials from Diorama Presepe 😉

@@BoulderCreekRailroad although i dont have the patience to ever build one of these myself, and just enjoy seeing what you create, i have to agree about the mistakes. not just to help anyone following along if they encounter similar problems, but also it makes the entire process seem less daunting. makes it seem less like something youve whipped up in a flash to amazing results, and more like something that you too can achieve if you accept there will be missteps along the way.

We called these "Noddin' Donkeys" when i worked in the oil & gas industry (not too many of these pumps used in Australia).
Many are electric now, but we used to use a self contained diesel engine system to operate the Pony Rod system (pumping system).
Ran across a few that ran on multi fuel in far north Qld- many would run off the oil pumped up itself!
Edit: you need to add more oil/ gease/ gunk around the Wellhead- every pump i came across, had decades worth of oil, that had turned to grease, sitting around the wellhead. If the seals on the wellhead leaked alot- it was a good 6 foot circumference of gunk on the ground!

I know its a lot larger of scale but you should do a 4x4 trail model based off of a section of the old telegraph track (like gunshot creek) for like the orlandoo hunters
