This trip is pretty amazing! So it was possible for you to drive the Nyrðri-Ófæra river crossing as well as through Blautulón in a Suzuki Jimny, but you would never recommend doing that (you said, you would only recomment this for modified 4x4s, so I assume you'd only recommend it for the typical Icelandic Super Jeeps), correct? You were probably pretty lucky with the water levels on that day because it looks quite "easily" possible in the video - even with all the fast driving and splashing in Blautulón :) What time of the year was that?
Thank you sir,. This was in autumn, late October, and yes the water level in Nyrðri Ófæra was low that day. How ever, Blautulón is always dangerous for 4x4 on regular tires because of sandpits near the end of it. Also as the video clearly shows that driving through Blautulôn is very dangerous for travelers with limited knowledge of the steep and narrow bank’s. But I guess you could drive this route on a none modified 4x4 (stock Jimny or Duster) but as I said I would not recommend it , and me personally would never do it. As you see in the video my Jimny is extremely modified and has 35” tires +100% air lockers on both axles👍 Then had a 44” modified Hi-Lux with me for safety if anything would go wrong.😅 Thanks for watching my RUclips channel 👌🤛
Keflavík til Vík í Mýrdal 190km. Gistum þar yfir nótt og lagðir í hann snemma í birtingu morguninn eftir frá Vík í Landmannalaugar í gengnum Skælinga, Blautulón, Sveinstind, Breiðbak, Faxasundsleið um 200km. Landmannalaugar til Keflavíkur í gegnum Hrauneyjar 231km. Samtals 621km👍
So good to get a tour of your beautiful country. Love the drone footage. That Jimny is badass too!
