- This video features a loop like from Landmannalaugar to M. Brennisteinsalda and back to Landmannalaugar. What you see in the video is exactly what we saw no extreme color enhancing!
Note. Since, we had limited time to spend in Iceland and wanted to see as much as possible, we hired Iceland in Motion. We simply did not want to have to spend time trying to figure maps, which way to go, etc. And, negotiating the F roads... The services provided by Iceland in Motion
(www.icelandinm...) could not have better better!
It's great Al Hansen, love it.
BEAUTIFUL 😍 What colors 😍 WOW!
Most unbelievable country we have visited!
Man that water looked deep, good job crossing it 👍👍
When you have someone driving who has done it hundreds of times it helps eliminates the pucker factor!
Stunning!
Unbelievable colors!
Wow!! I've been there twice and going on third time in September but that is a really "speicial" view point
Very nice footage
I enjoyed very much
Thank you
Now I have to look for the special view point myself 😅
Thank you very much! As one looks at Mt. Brennisteinsalda there is a steep ridge to the far left. You will know when you get to it because if you go to far you begin to descent into the valley between Brennisteinsalda & Blahnukur…
@@Seracdog Thank you
I definitely will look for it 😊
Wow so beautiful from the “special view point”. I watched the video a couple of times. Thanks for sharing! Was the special viewpoint down the path beside the mountain Brennisteinsalda where you took your pictures at 4 minutes 04 seconds in the video?
The couple in the video at 4:04 were bystanders!I If you stop the video at 4:05 on the extreme left there is a faint trail that we followed that eventually led to rounded ridge that we climbed up (75+ meters) to get the GREAT view. Heading back to Iceland next month for more fun!
Thank you for the clarification! Couldn’t see the “faint trail” in the video though. I will screenshot at 4:05 and match it when we get there😀. It’s cool you are heading back! We are planning to go next summer.
If you want to make sure you find the spot, which is missed by by just about everyone, I can give you the name of a guide who knows Iceland like the palm of your hand...
I will try my luck lol Thanks though!
A good 4X4 and skills crossing a river is all that is needed!
any idea roughly how long the hike from the basecamp and return as in your video ?
Sorry this is so late... 15 minutes to the base!
