    I love how this movie isn't really the dark and scary movie people expected from Shin Ultraman because of Shin Godzilla and Evangelion. We already have that and that's called Ultraman Nexus which is VERY GOOD. Shin Ultraman captures the nuanced sci-fi and light commentary on humanity vibe of the showa era series'.

    I have an idea. Its a stupid idea, but an idea nonetheless. Going back to Shin Goji, we see his tail sprouting humanoid like creatures. What if some of them actually thaw out? What if it leads to creations of "super soldier" in a "squadron"?
    Yes, I propose the premise of Shin Super Sentai, in particular, Shin Gorenger, fighting off Shin Goji's offsprings in a far off future.
    Farfetched, but I think it could be decent.

    • @androyus
      @androyus Год назад +39

      From Ultraman Mebius going forward, Ultraman shows & movies actually have a lot of cross-overs. But their universe(s) are just more cleanly-managed than something like KR Decade, KR Zi-O & all the Versus Movies.
      Also, Ultraman feels more separate than KR & Sentai coz the heroes are mostly giant-aliens (without summoning any mechas).

    • @girl1213
      @girl1213 Год назад +1

      @@androyus Actually if you look in the Showa versions, they were all part of the same world, so it wasn't so much cross-over as it was passing the torch (kinda like what happened with Power Rangers up until Lost Galaxy). They only diverged after the 15-year hiatus with Tiga. By Ultraman Mebius, it was made canon that due to the Ultraman race being beings-of-light, they have the ability to cross into dimensions. This is why Earth changes so much, it's literally the Ultramen fighting through dimensions.

    • @notwick441

      Kamen Rider and Sentai are owned by Toei so they get to have crossovers every year. While Ultraman is owned by obviously Tsuburaya. It's difficult to get Ultraman to have a crossover beyond Tsuburaya-affiliated properties because of that but honestly, I prefer it that way.

Needless to say, I have nothing much else to, well, say since this review is so comprehensive it's like Blunova & Monstrosities' Shin Ultraman videos put together in one giant compilation movie (it's a compliment btw). Props to all the people who did the scriptwriting & editing for this video and (of course) your narration, Marco 👍. I hope we can see Lipiah again in a continuation even though he already gave his life 😇.

    I didn’t even know that there was a Shin Ultraman before a random edit of the fight popped up in my fyp, and I fell into this rabbit hole.
    There is something to said about the way ultraman fights with some movements that are the relic of past times that requires the actors to make slightly goofy movements and poses, but when it is mixed in with realistic cinematography it gave it a alien-like movement that are truly foreign beyond to this world.

      The Series was called "Return of Ultraman" but the Ultraman in that season wasnt the same Ultraman as the First season. The "Return" Ultraman was named "Shin Ultraman" and then later changed to Ultraman Jack. The orignally idea was to bring back Original Ultraman, but they changed that plan because they wanted a new Hero every season. There's a lot of rumors of why they keep the name "Return of" but i like to think it's because it was returning to Ultraman's canon, because UltraSeven wasnt canon, all the seasons were stand alones.
