However, I don't like your username. I think calling yourself Sting is a major faux pas, as we call it in the banking world, and quite frankly I don't like the cut of your jib sonny. I'm sorry, but I'm out."
I’m not sure the fella who wrote the title fully understands why what she was doing was wrong. It’s not a dirty play on a fellow shareholder, it’s a dirty play on the dragon who would invest. How would that even be allowed? For her to use money invested in the company to increase her ownership of the company. Imagine Tim Cook using Apple’s money to buy himself Apple shares haha
Its both really. If the dragons are paying 80k for 25% then 50% would be worth 160k. If that is the true value of the company then that is the value the other shareholder is entitled to. But instead she's attempting to get 160k value for 40k by keeping the partner in the dark about the true valuation. Shes trying to scam both her partner and the dragons. Its craziness.
As you who is reading this is most likely binge watching these like I am right now, this is the first episode I’ve seen where the person valued their company at a fair price. Most of them value at 2 mil for seemingly no reason other than ignorance. What A shame she blew it.
I agree with you. The others are focused on the investing scam part instead of the point of your comment. The value of her company regardless of the scam she still values everything under 200000 which is fair.
How can she expect them to invest with that revelation? Surely they could buy out her business partner and then invest £40k and have an extra 25% of the business and hence profits
Dragons' error was putting too much emphasis on what her and the partner had already invested. That should have been virtually irrelevant if they'd genuinely sought to estimate what the business is now worth, let alone what it was potentially worth.
@Emptiness Form Good point. Her predicament (that they failed to appreciate) was that the 20% she was offering would've come out of her 50%. This would've left her with only 30%, which is hardly fair to her. Hence the partner needed to be bought out pronto. On parity she could've said "If you let me buy out my partner, we can also split their half 30/20 raising your share to 40%". (Not that I could've expected her to think of that on the spot under pressure.) The Dragons are far too keen to find the "gotcha moment", then lose all sense of proportion and rationality after that. Edit: Or indeed use that 30/20 split in favour of the Dragon (since they're the one putting up the money for the buy-out) which then makes the Dragon a 50% share as you suggested.
Actually it doesn’t change a thing, instead of her having 50%, she wouldve ended with 75% and the remaining for them and I think that’s what she had in mind because both parties wouldve had an extra 25% owning so it’s kinda equal
@@hellkaiser899 It's just the fact that she's gaining an extra 25% without funding it herself. She'd be using money that should be used for investment in the company for personal gain

@@Harry-jz1dn I'm not sure of her naivete either. If she's selling 25% for 80K, then her partner's share is worth 160k, and that's what she should pay him for it. From what we know, her partner was getting royally screwed out of money.

Jenny is so happy when the others find out the problems so she doesn't have to invest. And then she loves to crucify the person to make herself look clever.
Jenny:
"I have a lot of influence over peers, my reputation is exceptional, and I ooze power. Therefore, I'm clout."
Rumour has it when Jenny was born she said “i’m out”
rumour has it that you stole that comment from a stolen comment
You win.
Nike Founder: I want £1 for 99% of my company.
Jenny: I will do 50p for 100%.
Nike: You’ve got a deal
Jenny: You took too long to respond so I’m out
Jelly Hopper was out before that conversation even started. Because you know, as an interior design entrepreneur
Then she pulls that smug face she does when she knows she's made an offer no one would ever accept.
Jenny: "That sounds like a fantastic deal. £1.00 for 99% of a company that is making multi-million pound profits, with a headquarters in Bermuda and free cocktails all-year round at the beach bar. However, I don't like your username. I think calling yourself Sting is a major faux pas, as we call it in the banking world, and quite frankly I don't like the cut of your jib sonny. I'm sorry, but I'm out."

Ik denk dat enkel Nederlandstalige mensen dit gaan begrijpen 😂
Daniël Huisman hahaha
Does that one work, anybody Dutch reading this?
@@oldishandwoke-ish1181 Wood = Hout.
Love it
I’m not sure the fella who wrote the title fully understands why what she was doing was wrong.
@@umungus518 good point, I didn’t think about it that way!
Jenny: I was actually born on Everest and for that reason I'm mount.
Jenny: "is there a market, yes. Is there potential for me to make millions? Yes, for that reason I'm out.
Jenny is the greatest philosopher in the world:
“I think, therefore I’m out”
Underrated comment, haha
Jenny: I see there is a detour up ahead so for that reason I'll reroute.
😂 Ah, but that only works in an American accent
All the Jenny out comments - so much noise when looking for interesting comments ...
tamfuwing1: I searched for meaningful comments, but found nout
As you who is reading this is most likely binge watching these like I am right now, this is the first episode I’ve seen where the person valued their company at a fair price. Most of them value at 2 mil for seemingly no reason other than ignorance. What A shame she blew it.
How is this a fair evaluation?
She is literally selling 25% for 80k to buy 50% for 40k...
You missed the whole point of the video.
I agree with you. The others are focused on the investing scam part instead of the point of your comment. The value of her company regardless of the scam she still values everything under 200000 which is fair.
So you’re praising her for not trying to be shady about one aspect, and instead choosing to be shady about another aspect. You must be very clever.
(Not that I could've expected her to think of that on the spot under pressure.)
The Dragons are far too keen to find the "gotcha moment", then lose all sense of proportion and rationality after that.
Edit: Or indeed use that 30/20 split in favour of the Dragon (since they're the one putting up the money for the buy-out) which then makes the Dragon a 50% share as you suggested.
It’s there own principles they are very rich & hate other people getting more for less than them it’s ego as much as anything
Jenny : ‘I’m going to tile my bathroom today, and for that reason, I’m grout
"Hi, you've reached Jenny, please leave your message after the tone, 'cos I'm out"
I'm kinda scared for her when her business partner see's this episode and pikachu faces and intentionally sells their shares to a horrible person who does what nicola tried to do.
Why would they Pikachu face?!
You act like the other wouldn't have already known and agreed to it
@@zigalpha9741Why would he agree to it when the business is about to take off like that?
Jenny: I’m here to do some tiling and therefore I grout
Ah yes, hello, I would like 80k for 25%, of which I will spend half on 50% of the company for myself. Any questions?
Right?? Something tells me this friend of hers had no idea she was planning this.
She shouldn't have said that
Peter said she was possibly naive... i don't buy that. How could you go into business with someone that shady.
@@Harry-jz1dn I'm not sure of her naivete either. If she's selling 25% for 80K, then her partner's share is worth 160k, and that's what she should pay him for it. From what we know, her partner was getting royally screwed out of money.
If the idea is top and makes a lot of return for my investment you can use it for a 3 months retreat holiday ...I do not care !
Jenny "I'm going to resell concert tickets, for that reason, I tout"
Jenny: "Im loving it, and would love to invest, but im a Troll, so im just mucking about"

Huge mistake admitting that. She should have NEVER mentioned it and simply done her bank loan idea and no one would have been the wiser.
They would have found out the minute they looked at the accounts! They are buying in for 25%, they are not going to just go in blind.
Jenny is like an appendix, she sits there doing nothing and then as soon as she gets some food in her she’s out

Why would they pay her 80k for 25% when they could buy 50% for 40k from her business partner?
