    Thanks for the video.
    *Thoughts on storage*
I do some lightweight stuff & small coding on the side. I have managed with a base M1 MBA for a long time, until it couldn't handle anymore. So I got an M2 MBA with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. That worked excellent (and still does). Recently I got the base M4 Mac mini as a gift, and I decided to make it my main machine. It handles pretty much everything I throw at it, at least for now.
That's my experience so far. As for the 256GB base storage (and therefore assuming the base 16GB RAM), I think 70% of people from the target audience of this machine shouldn't worry. It'll be enough for everything basic and will work just fine for a long time, say if you don't change your workflow significantly.
If you're any more than basic, I think 512GB should be your next step. It's more than enough for basics, and enough for the heavier users. However, I think that if you want to save money & are willing to work with external storage, do NOT get Apple's overpriced storage upgrades! Get an SSD & Thunderbolt enclosure and cable and move your home folder & whatever else you want to that drive (many tutorials on YT on how to do that). Therefore, you can run your entire workflow almost entirely on external media, keeping the internal free & saving money by not getting Apple's upgrade. It's not such a hassle as it sounds, as the Mac mini is not a laptop, it's always at the desk & you don't have to worry about the external SSD. If you're not willing to use external media, just get the upgrade. Anything above 1TB is not just a ripoff, but a straight-up scam - but that's the price you pay for convenience. Don't upgrade internal storage yourself, you'll void warranty.
    *Thoughts on SoC*
Totally agreed. M4 is great for 90% of workloads.
    *Thoughts on the power button*
It's a non-issue. The Mac mini is easy to lift, and you won't be pressing the button often, as macOS can easily handle not shutting down for many months on end. It also draws essentially nothing from the wall while it's in sleep.
    *No accessories included*
In Steve Jobs' words, 'BYOKDM' = Bring Your Own Keyboard, Display and Mouse. If you want those included, look at the MacBook or iMac.

I think M4 with 1TB and 24 GB RAM is a good choice

That is an impressive specification. While it may exceed the requirements of most users, it is well-suited for professional applications.

I come from a intel mac pro 16c, 384gb, 4tb ssd, 32gb Pro Vega II... 15k!! so I guess every config if outperforming the intel... except maybe gpu. the mac pro never felt fast nor a killer machine...quite a shame. but for after effects the cpu was just not cutting it. I went with a mini m4 pro 64gb,1tb,10gbs... arrives soon. lets see how that one is handling the tasks
