Please don't use it like that. You will tear the surface of the skin. You must pick up the roller every time you go a different direction. Don't go in a up and down motion with the roller constantly on your skin, pick up the roller off the skin after you have rolled it in a direction. If you don't pick up the roller you will be penetrating the same holes being created and causing them to become deeper, which will not give you great results.
@Superb Media Content Creator Hey I'm glad you found my information helpful. Serum is a great choice to use on the skin, as it can help with the process of healing. Make sure to wait the appropriate time for the next use, according to the size of the derma roller. A video you can use is ruclips.net/video/e8CUvdxgZSw/видео.html she explains the way to use a derma roller very well and is very helpful for a beginner.
This! Also the Hora x Poosh dermaroller she's using appears to be the type made with steel blades rather than individual needles, which would only be adding to the skin tearing.
I always forget about that feature and fast forward through half the video to get to the actual tutorial. Even that was painfully slow, so thank you for the reminder!
Every video I’ve seen so far says to NOT go back and forth because you will tear the skin and to never go diagonally... this video seems like it’s showing a dangerous method.
The rolling method involves three parts: vertical, horizontal, and diagonal movements. You should start by rolling the derma roller up and down your forehead, cheeks, and chin, making sure not to apply too much pressure. Then, switch to horizontal movements followed by diagonal ones. The key is to not spend more than 2 minutes total on the entire process.
@@Victoria-dm4sy But isn't that what we are NOT supposed to do ie going back on forth in the same area? Too much confusing and conflicting information in these comments. Too many cooks in the kitchen 🤔
You are supposed to go horizontal and vertical. Diagonal is unnecessary. And do small sections. Picking up the roller every time you make a line. Not rolling back and forth like you are vacuuming your face. Pre soak the roller in alcohol for 10 min and rinse with warm water and air dry before and after use. And put serum on your face afterwards.

I just wanna come on here and say she’s not doing it correctly. Please only roll over one portion of your skin at a time much more slowly and pick the roller up to transfer it over to a new portion of the skin. If you do it this way you are only going to damage your skin more and get micro tears. It’s essentially like rubbing st Ives apricot scrub on your face
True. But I've ben using St. Ives apricot scrub for many years, and I'm consistently told I look 10+ years younger. So it still may still be helpful for some.
I'm a first time user for derma rolling and I bought 0.3 sized needles but it came a 1.5 sized. It also kinda feels cooling. In fact I can already feel the difference after applying my tea tree and collagen mask. Feels so plumpy with a bit of prickly feeling on my skin. I guess if done right... Can I use this tool to open my pores and then use the pore sucking tool to get the gunk out? I feel like the pore , sucking tool doesn’t really do much on its own so I’m thinking I have to open them up first… Not even steaming my face makes a difference.

Hello!! I am first time user and i have some questions!! First, before we start to use the dermaroller, we have to put something like cream or serum in our face? Secondly, when we finish with the dermaroller, we put only serum? or can we put and our night cream? or both? And third, how much pressure we put in dermaroller? or none? I saw some videos claiming the growth of hair ( beard )on face for men. I am a girl and i have facial hair.. can I use this roller on face ?? I am scared that facial hair may grow thick than usual..!
It encourages eyebrow growth, they can thicken with regular use but it depends person to person. No two people produce the same result with these types of procedures, so I’d proceed with caution if you’re going to use it on an area of your face, where you’re experiencing unwanted facial hair. I wouldn’t shy away from giving it a go though based on that fear alone. As with anyone trying a derma roller for the first time, I’d recommend to do so when you don’t have a special event or an interview, that kind of scenario. The ideal time is when you have 48hrs off, ideally when you can stay home and have an antihistamine on hand just in case. With all beauty procedures it’s always a good idea to weigh up all of the pros and cons before implementing it to your routine. For example if your overall skin condition dramatically improved, by using the roller regularly, in ways that you’ve never experienced with other products or procedures, wouldn’t it be beneficial for you to tolerate any additional hair growth and continue to remove the hairs you’re already dealing with along with any thickness brought on by the roller? I promise you it’s not going to be anything significant and it may not make any difference at all, it certainly isn’t going to give you a full on beard or grow hairs in areas where you don’t have any, worst case scenario would be slightly thicker hair in the original problematic areas. The only way you’re going be be certain is by giving it a go. If you’re that concerned about it you could just bypass that area all together and just do the remainder of your face, Be certain when you’re trying out new things to do so one at a time. If you choose to go ahead with a home Derma roller, for the first 3 months do so without any product. These types of rollers (0.25) can achieve great results used alone if they are implemented early enough. The next step I’d recommend would be to then try it alongside a targeted serum. For brightness and fine lines Vitamin C, for anti ageing hyaluronic and so fourth. Take before and after photographs so that you can compare the results as you transition your way through each trial period. The serums you choose don’t need to be expensive either, if you’re on a budget look towards companies like The Ordinary. Three days pre treatment and for three days post treatment don’t use any face washes, toners, moisturisers etc containing any acids such as glycolic acid. Don’t exfoliate during these periods either or use any anti blemish products. Use natural, rejuvenating cleansers and moisturisers and be careful what you use to remove your eye make up with too during this time as there are some eye make up removers that will cause great redness, blotches and even sore areas. Each time you use the roller be sure to leave it to soak in boiling water with a splash of vodka, air dry it somewhere sanitary before putting it away. Good luck with the derma rollers and enjoy your pampering sessions, god knows we could all use them right now.
Thanks for the lovely video, I'm a dude and considering doing this to help with the hyperpigmentation areas that I have around my cheeks, I learned that derma rolling does help but I had a pealing session like 6 days ago and I'll be back next week, should I use derma roller on my face or would that be too dangerous for my case?
I know you asked Poosh, but I don't see her answering questions. If you had a chemical peel wait till it's completely healed. I ordered a derma roller today and I also use the pen.
@@BAFFLED-u4o Thank you for your reply, I appreciate you taking the time to answer and help I did actually use derma roller lol, the pealing was a soft one, not very deep, so one week after I used derma roller and hoped for the best lol while I got you, how many times do you suggest I use it, even if I'd stop until the pealing sessions are all complete, just for the future, is it like once a week, or a month or how often should I use it? thank you again :)
@@abdelkadersoudani1955 I have the pen which I've used once a week, but I'm going to stretch it out about every three weeks. It can penetrate pretty deep, and cause bleeding. I got the numbing cream today, because it's painful. I'm going to get the derma roller and use it once a week. As long as you're chemical peel is healed and stopped peeling it should be okay. Also they say don't use sunscreen after dermarolling or Vit C cream till it heals. Just cover your face with a hat from the sun. Hydrating moisturizer while it heals.
Depends on the length of needles you are using. 1.5mm and longer every 3 weeks. Most rollers have shorter needles and you want to do it about every 10 days
I just ordered one and I think this is great even if you have good skin. The before and after photos are WOW. It definitely betters your skin no matter the severity. I recommend using your vitamin c serum first because its less heavy and therefore won't do as well when applying it after a heavy moisturizer. So just go from lightest to heaviest product when doing your skincare routine. Also would recommend using hyaluronic acid as it holds many times its weight in moisture.

yes you can get infection because there is bacteria on your face too, not only on the derma roller. Therefore, clean your face with alcohol, chlorhexidine etc
Yikes this is bad info you're giving out! First, the way you're running the roller back and forth over your skin is incorrect, you should be lifting it and resetting after each swipe. Second, the dermaroller you're suggesting appears to be the kind made with steel blades rather than individual needles, which tears skin instead of puncturing it. I really hope you've changed how you do things since making this video! And in all honesty, you should take this video down; it isn't responsible to leave it up and mislead people who're looking for safe advice.
I like the videos and enjoy their content a lot but I think it needs better editing. It could have better lighting and higher quality cameras. I also want to know when Kourtney is going to drop a skin care line because I enjoyed watching her vogue interview a lot. That video could be used as an example for her next videos .
Please don't use it like that. You will tear the surface of the skin. You must pick up the roller every time you go a different direction.
Mine is 0.5😖 should I still continue using this?
Thanks for the lovely video, I'm a dude and considering doing this to help with the hyperpigmentation areas that I have around my cheeks, I learned that derma rolling does help
but I had a pealing session like 6 days ago and I'll be back next week, should I use derma roller on my face or would that be too dangerous for my case?
I know you asked Poosh, but I don't see her answering questions. If you had a chemical peel wait till it's completely healed. I ordered a derma roller today and I also use the pen.
@@BAFFLED-u4o Thank you for your reply, I appreciate you taking the time to answer and help
I did actually use derma roller lol, the pealing was a soft one, not very deep, so one week after I used derma roller and hoped for the best lol
while I got you, how many times do you suggest I use it, even if I'd stop until the pealing sessions are all complete, just for the future, is it like once a week, or a month or how often should I use it? thank you again :)
@@BAFFLED-u4o thank you 🌹
@@abdelkadersoudani1955 You are very welcome. :)
Can u put your products on first?
Hello, thank you for this instructional video! How often do you use it? Thank you!
Thats what I wanna know
Depends on the length of needles you are using. 1.5mm and longer every 3 weeks. Most rollers have shorter needles and you want to do it about every 10 days
Can I use it daily only for my cheeks so they look like flushed alike?
How many times a week do you recommend using it???
Depends on size
I just ordered one and I think this is great even if you have good skin. The before and after photos are WOW. It definitely betters your skin no matter the severity. I recommend using your vitamin c serum first because its less heavy and therefore won't do as well when applying it after a heavy moisturizer. So just go from lightest to heaviest product when doing your skincare routine. Also would recommend using hyaluronic acid as it holds many times its weight in moisture.
Is the derma roller made with real needles?
Will my skin be OK if I pushed a little bit
No. If you want it to go deeper, you need needles that will penetrate more.
Do you use any other products after you dermanroll ?
Do you do this every night? Or a few times a week?
Every 4 weeks is recommended. I wouldn’t do this frequently together as it would damage your skin
Sophie ✨🙌🏾
I ordered mine by amazon
The way she rolls is the way my derma roller box instructed me NOT to roll
Is it really helpful 🙄🙄 am thinking to purchase this
Hey did u purchase this....can you please share your experience if u did...I really want to know
Me using a 1.5 roller under my eyes and following with Tretinoin .05% expecting my wrinkles to be gone tomorrow but knowing full well even with spf 100 and clouds I’m still going to get a sunburn 🤡
Oh nooooooo 🤕 😣
Nice
Killer editing👍
!!!!!BE WARNED!!!!!! I used this technique and got a STAPH infection on my face. EXTREMELY PAINFUL and a 102 TEMP. I even used a brand new sterilized roller.
yes you can get infection because there is bacteria on your face too, not only on the derma roller.
Ugh I hope I didn’t mess up my skin I just followed the video and then saw these comments. It’s my first time using it.
Which derma roller do u recommend?
Hi
Omg I'm new to this but I've watched other videos and I can see you're doing it way to fast.. not carefully, it looks painful
Where can we buy this Derma Roller from?
Target
That’s pretty cool.
I like the videos and enjoy their content a lot but I think it needs better editing. It could have better lighting and higher quality cameras. I also want to know when Kourtney is going to drop a skin care line because I enjoyed watching her vogue interview a lot. That video could be used as an example for her next videos .
Can I do this every day?
I have this same brand I bought through ipsy.
Who else here because of Leena recommendation?✌🏽✋
What derma are you using???
Alcohol evaporate, it doesn't get on or into your skin with the roller and using either alcohol or boiling water is enough, no need to use both.
