- Hey everyone! Welcome to another video! In this video, I will go over the retired fleet of the airline whose name may confuse you thinking they're based in China but really in Taiwan. This airline has had operated mainly jets in its 62 years of life ever since 1967 while operating turboprops for eight years. Anyways, this series is inspired by Scaring Crab & Ibirdball. A shot live 737-400. Why did they stop flying the 737-400?
Well they came off lease and they found that the 737-800 was more efficient and reliable.

In 1995, China Airlines sign a contract with Boeing buying total 15 of 737-800 and plan to deliver the first 738 in 1998, but they desperately need new narrow body aircraft at the time, so they leased six 737-400 from Boeing to fill the shortage.
