7:00 slugs and snails hate copper
It you band the trunks a thin copper “ribbon” of copper it helps with pests.

Your comfrey will be very useful. And the plans for your orchard are pretty impessive!

Greetings from NE Tennessee. Your explanations are very helpful.
Jonagolds are my favorite apple variety. They’re delicious any way you prepare them. Very versatile.

Greeting from northern germany , I'm a nurseryman at a small scale organic fruit nursery, it's frustrating to see fruittrees either with a huge markup in online shops who just buy and resell trees, or to see one year old grafts in 2l pots for 5€ at aldi , buying from local nurseries should be the first option , you can ask for b-grade trees , those are often more sturdy and robust than the supermarket whips, maybe with a little twist in the stem or one-sided tops you can easily fix with some pruning.
Love your videos, can't wait to see your planting leaf out

An apple a day keeps the Drs away. Another NE TN here. Looking forward to the graft video.

How did you decide on the spacing between the top fruit swales?

I measured the size of the grazing blocks I want between swales, then marked out the swale positions on contour to make sure everything fitted.
