The LA punk scene is probably one of the most violent because a lot of punks really come from the ghetto. I remember cholos and gunshots at backyard gigs 20 years ago . Just learned of this "punk rock influencer" thing. white girl punks like this were from the west side of LA and played dress up because their rich parents were divorced or something.

I even knew some punks who owned a home well a home that was gifted to them from one of their parents in Anaheim I was so confused first time meeting them because I thought they we're more like rest of us but they we're the polar opposite with having parent's who are lawyers and $hit ahahaha..@@MrAncientAstronaut

It's Only L.A drama because of these wack ass Transplants that aren't even from L.A...been in the scene for 30 years and never heard of some dumb prissy shit from some gi who puts on a clown costume and cries about it online after she got smacked up.
Childish stuff this. This guy doesn't seem to be too reliable either in my opinion, get the impression both sides aren't telling the entire truth but at the end of the day who cares ,there's more important shit to worry about haha.
But you're still here watching! Lol, but yeah, I imagine the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I'd say heavily leaning on Jesse's side, though. I've talked to a few more people that were there and it seems like he's telling mostly what happened. I do think his gal should have never approached Erin, though.
@@MudShark6969 I've never met any of these people and that is also very much my impression too. This whole situation started with Randi harrassing Erin. He's trying to make that sound ok here. Erin Micklow is a silly person and I can see how she provokes "true punks" or whatever but please do leave her alone and don't harrass or threaten her. Noone deserves that.
@@thepunkrockreviewher or her man did mention sexual assault. I thought she did a lot for bands before this and was like whatever people were just hating on her but after seeing her videos and this guys story she seems to be blowing this way out of proportion and digging herself a bigger hole.
It's disgusting that woman beater is saying that crap. The moment that guy even steps into a punk show he is doomed. Woman beaters don't tend to be liked.
I can't believe she still trying to play the victim in all of this!! Her boyfriend hit a woman there is no coming back from that! She is know to causes drama where ever she goes!! Erin just needs to accept she got her ass handed to her!! Stop being such a cry baby and stop making the whole situation worse! It's embarrassing!
I notice she's burying the story now, i wonder why? Tbf i believed her for a while. I think her dragging his band into it backfired. Shes now seen as the trouble maker. I mean her contacting promoters, including uk ones i know (a friend of mine whose a promoter was like wtaf).
@thepunkrockreview apparently so, trying to remain on the fence I get it she's upset, but surely her doing that would be hypocritical as its what she's accused punk rock bowling of doing for years? (She's accused Shawn of banning her due to him being her ex), hence why I'm starting to think she's the trouble maker and a gas lighter.
Lmfao she sent pics of me and my friends to the organisers of Rebellion Festival asking for us to be banned bc someone threw an empty plastic bottle at her head 😭😭😭
@@keekaboo was this the kids who were outside? lol I got into a heated exchange with them because I wouldn't give them money for booze (approaching the straight edge guy kid wearing a vegan reich/uprising records shirt probably not the best target for cadging a few quid- but I get it needs must) but actually when I held my ground they were great and shook my hand.
It was a sticker from the band DOGFACE BASTARDS and it had a bunch of people they think are posers on it I guess, with Erin's face on it really big and in the center, and it says "Culture Not Costume" on it.
straight fact is his girlfriend started all this shit, she didn't have to go trying to act hard putting the stickers in her face, clowning around or not. that was super childish, the rest is all he said she said crap. the stickers in themselves are some childish bullying crap.
I highly respect you going out of your way to settle the score. I appreciated hearing Jesse's side of the story. I can't say I'm shocked to hear about Erin being banned from several events. I never personally cared about her just doing what she does. But I grew very skeptical of her as soon as I watched one of her travel videos where she went somewhere in Latin America to have a "demon removed from her body" because she refused to get pharmaceutical treatment.
Yeah, I mean, let's he honest, the truth likely lies somewhere in the middle, but I tend to feel like it leans in the direction of what he's saying. Too many people (including Erin) corroborate his story.
lol a bunch of grown adults still embroiled in high school-esque drama and fights, calling each other posers, etc. This nonsense (apart from just plain growing up) is why I rarely go to shows. Also, the LA scene is obnoxious. Los Angeles is a city far too up its own ass.
Shut the fuck up about LA, if there are clowns it's because there's room for it. Keep staying home and in the comment section. That's your sole contribution
I usually frequent metal shows in southern California.... other than the one too many drinks person.... we take care of one another. I'm 40 yrs old with a career but been into the music since 1995 and been actively going to shows since 2000
This sounds like the inverse of bullying. Where she goes on her platform crying and making multiple videos of this fight for her larger folllowing, knowing damn well they are going to cyber bully these guys and possibly hurt them. She keeps saying she was bullied. A hurt dog is gonna holler.
She was bullied to a degree, but she also hit first (as far as I can tell). But I mean, why would you do that to a person with a platform as big as hers and expect her to NOT use it? Lol, I definitely would, if I were in her position. That all being said, she isnt someone I particularly like or admire at all, but I don't think about her much either. I might if I were in LA I guess, but I'm too old to let someone I don't like control my day to that degree.
I’m 36 years old and I never thought I’d be so caught up in this shit haha. But no lie, reminds me of the drama in the scene pre my space. Punk was scary at times. This is funny. STILL PIST STILL UNDEFEATED!!
I just watched her video account about that night in question & that is what they call crocodile tears, not a single teardrop, her face is completely bone dry throughout the entire video from start to finish. Talk about milking it for her audience. I wonder if she went to acting school when she was younger coz it felt like i was watching a bad soap opera. 🤦
Absolutely wild... they simp for her and don't think about what's really happening. She got bullied, 100%, but that doesn't make it ok to have your BF hit a woman...
That's a comment I've heard a lot bc of this, but I feel like it's the same people that call it dumb when someone says something they don't like that can be considered gatekeeping, lol
In my eyes from seeing this side now is that his girl provoked Erin in the first place with the un funny jokes, if she did attack Erin like she said, its no wounder why her man defended her. Irresponsibility and chidish on both partys.
I wish you digged into this "she's banned" comment - according to who? if the owner of an establishment wants someone banned then how do they even get let in? or is it some random people telling someone they aren't welcome into another person's business?🤔
The Promoter has said she's not welcomed at shows they put on bc of the trouble she causes. She even talks about it in our interview, "had I known it was one of those shows, I wouldn't have gone".... she's effectively banned.
@thepunkrockreview she also did a whole video of why she believes she's banned from punk rock bowling (being Shawn's ex), when in actuality it's because she was filming in secure areas, she went on about how Shawn didn't give her a chance to defend herself against the filming allegations umm dude is busy running a festival probably why didn't have the time. Oh and Shawn's exs came out to defend him on what she said.
Totally off topic but I LOVE the Interrupters shirt!! I just saw them Tuesday night with Sum 41!! I've been to every single Boston show they've played ever since the first time they came and opened for the BossTones at Hometown Throwdown. 10 years I've been following them. Three minutes into video , I have come to the conclusion that I would like to hear from the women that were in the washroom that night. Too much speculation and anger on both sides. My feeling is that alcohol was involved and egos . Too bad people who don't have a dog in fight are not being interviewed. I don't think other people would come forward for fear of retribution..

Watching this video and her video(Erin Micklow) I think I regressed 40 years...lol...this type of stuff went on back then. Fortunately I'm old and this to me is entertainment. That which happened before... Will happen again. I have to say I do follow her on you tube only. Guilty as charged I think she's... Attractive... I wish I could share stories (for as much as I can remember) about the mid Atlantic scene during the 80s. And I've got plenty of people who will tell you the same..40 years later.
@thepunkrockreview I'd love to tell our story. Baltimore / D.C had a rich scene back then. We weren't New York weren't LA. Our scene was vibrant. I became aware of Micklow a few years back and immediately took a dislike to her. I don't mind her going around interviewing bands and all that stuff, it is her whole approach to Punk that is the problem. There is an English band called Citizen Keyne who do a track called "Punk Not Fashion" that rails against characters like Micklow who turn up to Punk gigs, festivals etc who they refer to as "Glamour Punks"! I have actually put comments on her site a few years ago calling her a walking cliche. She basically comes across a fake punk who is using the scene to feather her own nest and clear agenda.
the coolest backstage drama i witness was 21 years ago, i went on tour with the Adicts. this was a west coast mini tour and Mel couldn't make it, he had legal problems to take care of so Olga played bass for the Adicts (BEST 2 weeks of my life because i'm a nobody, just a no good street punk from Milwaukee, WI and i got to play rockstar and got to hung out with cool bands and people). anyone remember that tour? anyway, it was the show at the Showcase in Riverside and the singer from Mad Parade was arguing with Pete and the singer from Mad Parade said something about the Adicts being a bunch of prima donna and well, that didn't sink well with Pete so he punch him in the mouth. Mad Parade still went on stage and finish their set but after that show, they were drop from the tour and the Bones filled in their slot. now that was worthy of a punk rock drama. that drama should got more attention than this Erin Micklow... this is high school wanker shit. i thought she was like the new member for the Devotchikas or something but she's not even in a band. man, i miss the Bones, those guys were cool dudes. She also reminds me of the punks out of the orange county area only difference is Erin looks more polished while the ones from orange county area look more typical punks and the ones from the ghetto you know who they are but amongst them are the rich kids rebelling against their parent's.

Kudos for getting the other side of the story and to Jesse for taking out the trash like he did. Hope is hand heals quickly 👊
I don't think he's being honest at all. Erin has made herself a target & they decided to take their shot.
@@standinsilence She has sexually assaulted several different men including one guy in LA that she sucked off when he was passed out drunk.
Theyre still posting about it and now saying that erin was almost r@ped... getting crazy with the accusations
Seriously?!? Where are they saying that?

@@thepunkrockreviewher or her man did mention sexual assault. I thought she did a lot for bands before this and was like whatever people were just hating on her but after seeing her videos and this guys story she seems to be blowing this way out of proportion and digging herself a bigger hole.
It's disgusting that woman beater is saying that crap. The moment that guy even steps into a punk show he is doomed. Woman beaters don't tend to be liked.
Haha checks out. Typical drama.
Erin bit off more than she can chew and got her butt kicked 😅.
Im glad at least we got to hear the other side. After Erin was trying to control the narrative.
I notice she's burying the story now, i wonder why? Tbf i believed her for a while. I think her dragging his band into it backfired. Shes now seen as the trouble maker. I mean her contacting promoters, including uk ones i know (a friend of mine whose a promoter was like wtaf).
Oh wow, she contacted promoters about this?!? That's wild...

What was written on the stickers??
It was a sticker from the band DOGFACE BASTARDS and it had a bunch of people they think are posers on it I guess, with Erin's face on it really big and in the center, and it says "Culture Not Costume" on it.

There's usually two sides to every story. So, it's good your getting both sides out there.
I tried to be as diplomatic and fair about it as possible, still got people upset with me about it, though 🤦
straight fact is his girlfriend started all this shit, she didn't have to go trying to act hard putting the stickers in her face, clowning around or not. that was super childish, the rest is all he said she said crap. the stickers in themselves are some childish bullying crap.
Totally agree. Said as much in the video, multiple times.
Oh well.... that's life.... someone is gonna be a critic.
What a bunch of sissies. If I saw my face on a sticker I'd laugh my ass off. These butthurt little bitches of today. Fuck that chick.
Lol, wow. She's interesting, to say the least 🤦 but yeah, I ain't trying to jjat hear half the story, that males no sense to me.

I enjoy peas and carrots, especially the mix that had sweet corn in it, too. I use it for fried rice.
So I'm sorry about the beating, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in America.
Cool hearing his side this situation makes a bit more sense now
Yeah, I mean, let's he honest, the truth likely lies somewhere in the middle, but I tend to feel like it leans in the direction of what he's saying. Too many people (including Erin) corroborate his story.
@@thepunkrockreviewyeah I agree both sides of stories tend to have at least a bit of the truth and at least some exaggeration

Unless you come with hatred and bigotry. As cringe as this girl is I don’t see her being a nazi or anti gay or anything. Maybe just a rich girl who likes the music idk. Probably an unpopular opinion and I’m sure there’s more to it then what I know.
Well I'm interviewing her tonight, so I'll ask her as many questions as I can
Also, yes, the bullying is dumb, but if someone is problematic, then I understand banning them. As far as I understand it, she is problematic. But I don't know her yet, so j can't speak on that. It may just stem from jealousy, that wouldn't surprise me at all
@@thepunkrockreviewI just saw clips from your interview, I totally retract my statement. Lol
The word you were looking for was ‘diplomatic’.
I can't remember what specifically I was talking about, but I assume you're right 👊
Wtf happened to punk? This ain't punk talk this is pink talk.
You're saying this kind of behavior and drama is new? Lol, nah man, this has been going on since punk started, unfortunately. Punk is full of cliques just like anything else.
1st chaos uk lp in the background...nice...
The only drama I was aware of from 80's punk was when Bad Brains made it clear what they thought of the Big Boys at one of their shows. Otherwise, I am not surprised that there's drama now in punk since punk is basically a parody of itself.
😬
While the thought of erin micklow getting clocked is hilarious, that doesnt mean Still Pist is a good band lol
You're entitled to feel how you want about them
I have more facts, it’s just that people don’t wanna hear it out! Cause yall just scared
Why not give the facts instead of running your mouth? I'm 100% not scared of your "facts" or whatever

The dude has a broken hand he obviously doesn't know how to fight 😆
Are you suggesting that pro MMA fighters have never broken their hands? Lol, yeah buddy, you right
@@thepunkrockreview yes I am saying that me being a amateur fighter even though I'm in my thirties it's very unlikely to happen if you know how to punch right... It's not part of the story anyway just found your channel and I'm liking it so far 🤘👍

@@650AFTERHOURSOC There is a difference between fighting in a ring/dojo, vs in a slippery bathroom in the spurt of the moment where you can hit the door jam, sink, stalls, etc. Plus I was there at the show and the bathroom area is cramped.
I went to elementary all the way up to high school with jessie. i used to see him around town here and there before moving deeper into LA. crazy to see him on here.
Lol that's awesome
Who Fucking Cares!
Clearly, you do. You came by to at least post a comment. Lol, but I mean, it doesn't really matter. Outside of dudes shouldn't hit women and bullying is stupid
Who are the pathetic posing wannabes ?
This guy screams “meth head”, wouldn’t believe him
What exactly screams "meth-head"?
@@thepunkrockreview he just gives that vibe. I don’t think micklow would make up an elaborate story about getting stickers shoved down her shirt, but he completely just dismissed it with a simple “it never happened”. Thats kind of a meth head defense, or his girl is lying and he’s gullible. I think both sides aren’t completely truthful but his girl totally started a fight and at the same time can’t blame him for socking micklows bf
Bunch o' crybabies
😂😂😂
Bro dude guys ain't you a little old for this?
I mean, you're hear watching it. It's just like gossip at work.
@@thepunkrockreview I'm too old to, nor did I ever gossip. Fuck a "scene". And fuck what you think. That's punk rock 🤘🤙

@@thepunkrockreview no, I'm at work. While you sit in a peanut gallery "reviewing" punk rock. The genre is meant to be lived not reviewed. You're fundamentally flawed.
