  • I believe this 1969 Nissan Skyline to be a replica. But, what a beautifully well presented machine it is. I would like to have seen under the hood. I wonder if there was the GT-R-spec S20 engine or an L-series 6. Hmmm...

Awesome, the stock look gives off a completely different vibe to the slightly modified ones with the Watanabe wheels, front lip and spoiler. But still awesome.

It is awesome, even without the overfenders. With the '72 Nissan went bad-ass.

Certainly, there are less nowadays, but I have no idea as to the numbers. I do know that the numbers of replicas has exploded though. :)

Nice! Did all the real ones get wrecked or rusted away? I imagine real ones are rare?

Yeah, I've heard about the Skyline/not-in-the-US thing before. Too bad, indeed.

Stupid question here, but I'm not very cluey with Japanese cars - are the base/lower spec models of these relatively common? Either in Australia or easily able to be imported in from Japan?
I just ask because I've spent the past few hours day dreaming of different, lightweight older rwd cars to (please don't yell at me) drop a heavily worked naturally aspirated Ford 250 crossflow (with transbraked C4, strong rear end but hopefully not a nine inch) into for something that would be really good looking and unique that could pull ETs in the 10s (there are Falcons and Cortinas around pulling mid to low 11s).
I could never do it to a rare model or one in good original condition though. Would just be more interesting and far better looking than any Cortina lol. I suppose even if it wouldn't be practical/possible, there's still a lot of rusted out 240 and 260Zs around that could make good project vehicles!
Anywho, this is an unusual post and I hope it doesn't upset anyone - and even though the red one in the vid is a clone it is absolutely gorgeous!

Harold Oz I think base models are fairly rare due to its age and people modding them.
