I have 8 of these ATCs, and I love them ALL. 3 1982 ATC 250r, 4 1983-1984 ATC 250r, and 1 1985 ATC 250r. I go out with friends and family on them, and keep the old tradition alive of 3 wheels on sand. There are some great quads out there, but they are nowhere near the same thrill as these trikes were and still are. I can still smoke about anything on my 300cc kitted 84 ATC250r. Legendary bikes.
I think you focus too much on clever words than actual truth. I rode an ATC 250r in the 80s. Not once, EVER was I passed by a 4 stroke. Not even 500cc 4 strokes could touch me, and they were so heavy they sank in soft sand trying to keep up with my 2-stroke on hills like Oldsmobile and comp in Glamis, CA. Your comment is laughable, as it is uniformed and moronic.
Take me back to the 80's and leave me there.
The eighties were definitely special in a lot of ways , glad I experienced it
Can I go with you? maybe we can get a cheaper group rate or something

I have an 84, I can't wait to have it running again, I also have an 85, a generation newer, its amazing how diffrent they are
Was 85 improved?? What’s your thoughts. I was 15 then my dad wouldn’t let me buy 1 with my own cash…said they were 2 fast. Thanks
@@ckuwiI believe that in 1985 the engine is water cooled instead of air cooled
Notice they aren't riding with flip flops and cutoffs and no helmet. No reason to outlaw these...awesome video ❤
