  • In this video we take a look at the Wisport 100cm soft rifle case. An awesome bag/case for protecting and carrying your rifle into the field with loads of features and storage for smaller items. Plus we take a quick look at the rest of the shooting kit that I brought out with me on this soggy day in N. Wales. Apologies for the heavy rain noise, but it was one of those days!! Thanks for watching...…..

    Hi Guys, I hope you are all keeping well :) This video was one that I recorded whilst out at work. The footage has been on the camera for a few weeks as I wasn't going to use it due to the heavy rain noise hitting the tarp. So apologies for the poor sound quality...… I will make sure the next one is clearer :) Thanks for watching, all the best, Mark.

Man, this summer has been a wash out. We will soon be into Autumn, then the rain really does start to come down LOL. Yeah Wisport make some great gear. No worries about the rain noise Mark, makes it atmospheric and great shooting, I'd be well happy with that 👍. My Last air rifle was a Webley Vulcan. I had all the old school rifles back in the day Meteor, Mercury, Airsporter, Vulcan. Mainly all Webley stuff. That's some great kit though and I love that rifle bag. Bit different to what we had back in the day. Used to do a fair bit of ratting on a pig farm with about 5 long pig sheds. We'd work our way around them and then start again. I used to have to keep my ratting clothes in a bag in the shed and get changed outside round the back of the house because I stunk that much. Good days though 😀😀. Cheers Mark, great film as usual 👍

      Hi Rick, I hope you are keeping well mate :) Yeah I have had a few Webley's in my time. They are great air rifles.... my boss has a couple that I sometimes take out and use :) My first one was a cheap Russian import that my Dad got me when I was about 9. It was good for shooting round corners lol.The bags are great. I have a 5:11 one that is similar, but it holds a couple of rifles. I like how to can carry the rest of your shooting kit in them, and it leaves your pack free for the other things like tarp, brew kit, dry clothing and overnight gear if you are away somewhere. Thanks as always Rick :) Have a great week mate. Speak soon, all the best, Mark :)

      Hi Andre, I hope you are keeping well brother :) Many thanks for stopping by as always :) Wow I didn't think it had been as dry as it has for you over there. We had a dry summer last year. Most of the countryside moorlands were on fire. How it was on the video is how it has been most of the summer here. I think we are paying the price for last years nice weather lol. I wish I could send some over to you. Before we know it we will be into September, then by October the weather here has usually gone crappy, and another wash out of a summer lol. You have a great week to Andre :) All the best, Mark.

    I'd love to own an Air Rifle Mark, yours is MAD! really ncie kit you got there! one day maybe in the future. I used to have a Ruger .22LR Semi Auto with a hand forged hammered target barrel, unfortunately I only used it at a target shooting club and didnt get to take it outdoors, although I have great respect for local gun laws and do feel quite safe in public, I definitely feel that the laws are over the top with regards to sports firearms mainly including the .17hmr and .22 caliber.
    In the past I wanted to get into Rabbiting with the .22 but now I just dont want to deal with the licencing requirements, I guess thats partially how they like it?
    I dont know why you got two thumbs down? probably linked to the sound of rain but I was 100% able to hear everything you said clearly ... oh well.

      Hi Chris, I hope you are keeping well mate and having a nice weekend :) Your Ruger .22 LR sounds like a nice rifle. I used to shoot a lot of .22 rimfires on the farms that were attached to the fisheries where I worked. I opted to stick with air rifles due to the hassle of obtaining a licence (even for an air rile that shoots above 12+ ft lbs of energy). Even before you can get a licence, the police may want to come and check the land where you intend to shoot, plus check your house to see where the cabinet will be fitted etc. etc., plus check for any criminal records and a letter from your GP. LOL stick to an air rifle. They are great to shoot anyway and I like the skill that is involved. Only 2 thumbs down..... I'm doing quite well lol. Thanks as always Chris..... it is always great to hear from you mate, all the best, Mark :)

    Great vid as usual Mark. As it happens I'm in the market for a new padded gun bag for my Hw 100 kt as my cheap one is coming adrift. Good review of the bag but it all looks left handed to me. I'm not interested in wearing it on my back so would probably detach/cut the shoulder straps. It seems that the carry handles and the zip should be on the other side for a right handed person. Any thoughts mate?

    • @markbailey2981
      @markbailey2981  4 года назад

      Hi Philip, many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment mate :) I see what you mean about the handles and the zips. I never really noticed using it. But looking, if the pockets were sewn onto the other side and straps as well, it would look more right handed. I've got a 5:11 double case that I think is the same. Well spotted. I don't think they make a left and right handed version. I have just had a look on their website at the 120cm. That one has two pockets. I thought that maybe the one pocket made it looked like it has a top and a bottom, where in reality the rifle can carried either way. I hope that helps Philip. P.S, you wouldn't have to cut the straps off, they will unfasten from the clips. Have a great day, all the best, Mark :)

      @@markbailey2981Cheers for the reply Mark. Looks like a great bag regardless of the right left issue. I'll just have to carry on left side lol. Keep knocking out the great content. Cheers again. Phil.

    Nice one mark. Are you using .177 or .22 ? I had to sell my pcp's when I came out of work but still have some quality springers. I might be onto some permissions hopefully off a old work friend. Keep the good work rolling pal all the best Dave

      Hi Dave, I hope you are keeping well mate :) The FX is .22. I have a few .177 at home, but .22 tends to be the what I use the majority of the time. I was looking at getting a new springer. I was a fool a few years ago and did a part ex for a PCP. I like the freedom of having a rifle and knowing that you won't have to walk a mile back to the car to fill it back up. I keep thinking of getting an Air Arms Pro sport, but then I think " how many rifles do I need". But a springer in the kit wouldn't go amiss. I hope you get your permissions mate :) Before I worked out in the sticks, it used to be so difficult to find decent places to shoot. Now I get quite a few offers, but don't have the time...….. typical lol. Thanks as always Dave...… have a great week mate, all the best, Mark :)

      If you ever need a rabbit man give me a shout pal I love cooking with rabbits and woodies. I love the pro sport in walnut but it's a big heavy pig to take hunting. My tunes .22 hw97 is my favourite dressed in a nice sc800 stock in walnut with a ginb hand engraved brass trigger guard. Il email you to see if theres any pram friendly walks down near your works and il call in for breakfast or lunch.

      @@MrRealdealdd Thanks Dave, I am partial to a rabbit casserole done in the slow cooker :) Yeah I agree the pro sport is a heavy rifle. With a scope I bet they weigh about 9lb. I used to have a TX200 and that was another heavy rifle to carry around. I love the hw97. My dad used to have one for years. I used to enjoy taking it out when I got the chance. I will let you know about the pram friendly walks mate. There is a path through the fishery or you can get over into Llandegla forest across the road where I think they have some pathed walks. I will ask when I'm next in and let you know mate :) Have a great day, all the best, Mark :)
