No need to take the mirror off….did mine on my x5 M50i. All I did was move the mirror down and used a skinny flathead to move the clips. I then used a trim tool and popped it right off. The whole process for both mirrors took me 5 minutes.
Those covers looks great. Got a question, i have a 2017 X4 F26, will those g version covers fit on my x4? The ones for the F26 looks like a bubble, :( Your version has the sleak lines, making it more aggressive.
Thank you! And it’s honestly not too bad. Maybe a few clips on the old mirror cap will break when taking it off but I don’t think it matters. You’ll probably never go back to the original anyways
Will water get in through the gap?? If I am going through a car wash tunnel, will the high pressure water get in through the gap and potentially create any damage to the electronic component?
Like the gaps of the mirror cap? I think the gaps are very small if anything. The gaps of the actual glass portion of the mirror are bigger and will always be there so if that’s fine, I feel like the gaps of the mirror cap would be fine (if that makes sense lol)
@@ayyyman_ Yup That makes sense. I actually just bought and installed the same one on my G01 and saw the similar gap between the cap and the turn signal. I was wondering if water would go through that to cause damage to electronic unit inside.
What hard part? Lol I edit things out because sometimes I pause to think, I take too long or it gets repetitive. I try to cut the video as much as possible so people don’t lose patience while watching and click away, hurting the videos retention rate
Hey. I installed the same model as you. Does it made quite a lot of wind whistle for you?
I love your videos man. Just changed my mirror caps and my grill thanks to you.
That’s awesome! So glad to hear!
Are the original ones painted or coated in metal? they look like a metal coating like chrome over plastic.
Are they the same on X4 2020?
hey great video, the mirror link looks to be broken, if you have an update, it would be greatly appreciated

How are they holding up after almost a year?

Like that, wish I’d done the M Style caps instead of just wrapping mine in gloss black.
It’s not too late! 😊
Where did you get the grill?
Hey I actually made a full video about them! ruclips.net/video/BMNF64qpD2o/видео.html
There’s a link to the grill in the description of that video
They look great. I wonder how difficult it would be for me to swap out everything on my 2019 X3 M40i.
Thank you! And it’s honestly not too bad. Maybe a few clips on the old mirror cap will break when taking it off but I don’t think it matters. You’ll probably never go back to the original anyways

Will it fit for 2022 model?
I believe so since the 2022 is only an LCI and I don’t believe they changed the mirror caps. However I can’t say for sure until I test it
You completely edited the actual hard part, not that its that hard or anything, but why did you edit that out? must be hiding something
