- Follow these steps to give your child asthma medicine using an inhaler with a spacer and a mask:
Step 1: Make sure the counter is not at zero.
Step 2: Shake the inhaler.
Step 3: Remove the cap.
Step 4: Insert the inhaler into the back of the spacer.
Step 5: Hold the mask over your child's mouth and nose to create a seal.
Step 6: Press down on the inhaler to release one puff only.
Step 7: Keep holding the mask over your child's face for 5 to 10 breaths to make sure they breathe all of the medicine in.
Step 8: Repeat steps 1 through 7 for every puff recommended by your child's doctor.
Once a week, wash the spacer by hand by soaking it in warm water; do not use a sponge. Let it air dry completely before using it again.
I need this video and got it , thanks john Hopkins.
I was searching for the demonstration.. Thanks 🙏🏼
Love this
I am an adult and I was given a face mask, but I am paranoid as I don't know if I am actually getting anything. My OCD is well and truly triggered.
As long as you’re taking breaths then it’s fine, that trapped medicine has to go somewhere and when you take breaths it’s going straight to your lungs.
My child refuses and fights like hell. Wish it was as easy as this video
Many childrens have Asthma that why they need this kind Inhaler with a Spacer and Masks.

If we keep our head up then it might go to our throats n the medicine has no effect right?. But if i keep head straight then i feel like it will leak down to my tissue and goto waste . What to do 🥲
