It's honestly horrifying being in Kris's position. Not only are you possessed, but the thing possessing you is forcing you to manipulate one of your only friends into becoming a mass murderer and you can't do anything about it
The most interesting detail about this route, is that it's technically a loophole in the system. From Chapter 1 everyone has been telling you that "Your choices don't matter" and "Fate can't be changed", and even if you TRY to kill enemies, they just run away so you're never able to do a real genocide run. BUT, what if... it wasn't YOUR choice? What if the choice was made by someone else that DOES matter? Thus, by manipulating Noelle you're indirectly changing your fate, you're instructing her to make the choices to bypass the rules and allow enemies to be actually killed. It's terrifying the lengths at what a single sociopath would be willing to go to reach their objectives, isn't it?
Still tho, it's your choices, you're making choices that influences other people's choices and straight up telling someone to freeze someone, a choice, so your choices do matter
Toby did that because he wanted to make a game with only one ending. But after chapter 2, guess he changed his mind about that. I wonder how much you can change the game after 7 chapters of this?
I really don't think he did change his mind. I think either way the game ends with the angel resetting, I just think the weird route changes who the angel is. In the normal route, it's probably Susie, in the weird route you're building up Noelle to replace her.
I like to think that, eventually, the statement becomes a lie. As the chapters go on, you quickly gain more and more control over everything, and the lives you take start to matter.
Its intresting that Spamton talks about going to heaven, he calls Noelle an angel, and Ralsei says their ultamite goal is to "banish the angel's heaven" (Also, notics how when "KRIS calls for help" nobody comes, but when "YOU whidper Noelle's name, they killed Spamton.
The pink addison calls Noelle "angel" too. It's more than just coincidence, then. That's deliberate. What it could mean, I'm unsure. If Noelle is somehow the angel, that would be an absurd plot twist that I could absolutely see Toby somehow making work.
In spamton sweepstakes, Noelle says that she think an Ice-e box blinked at her(ice-e is cursed since undertale), she said that one plug seem like it was smilling(like the one in queen basement), if you try to equip devilsnkife on her she will that that Jevils smilling(he is an secret boss), she got an blue ball(spamton said that it was him on the QaA) and she also got an glitched egg(we don't know wath it is, but it should have to do with the egg man) In other words, Noelle is hauted since before the game started. And we can't forget her missing sister that is probably in an dark word, and some people have the theory that Noelle mother have something to do with the dark worlds. All of that isn't an coincidence
Spamton said the blue ball was an gift of him, but he Didn't talk about any egg. Someone even asked if the egg was him and Noelle was technically his mom, with he said no. So that mean that the egg should or be about the egg man(that can also go into the light world) or another secret boss characte
@@mariotheundyingpipis and the glitched egg are two different things. the glitch egg is described as being white and had a message attached to it saying it was special, it wouldnt hatch and eventually left home due to "happiness". she also says it had a name but she cant remember it. pipis was a glitched pet that noelle got after putting a random code she received in a spam email into the game. it would keep multiplying until her game would crash
An interesting thing you may not know is, there's a bead toy you can interact with in the hospital. In chapter one it says "It's one of those sliding bead toys that naturally spawns inside doctors' offices. The beads march grimly along their set path." In chapter two's normal run it says "The beads of the toy march on.", but in Snowgrave it says "One of the blue beads is broken and torn off."
23:00 Oh absolutely not, I'd be swinging. Which is why I'm glad you're not succumbing to people shouting at you for playing Neutral. You're not going out of your WAY to kill things, even _sparing_ things that wouldn't've WANTED to attack you. Otherwise, you're just playing like a regular person (for the most part lmao). THIS IS WONDERFUL. Toby's games are best enjoyed when you've got a few sins on your shoulders. You already know that with your totally accidental Soulless run on Undertale. It gives the endings weight, makes them more personalized. Personalization that would be lost if you just did what everyone else told you to do. So keep it up. Play how you want to. Deltarune is going to be *insane* when it fully releases.
Fr this is what bothers me with much of the fanbase. They insist you do the pacifist run first and ignore the neutral routes even though neutral runs have their own unique dialogue (i.e undyne) and the Sans judgement hits even harder when you’ve gained EXP. Neutral is pretty much the intended first route to play blind especially since Flowey straight up tells you to replay without killing anyone like it’s natural progression.
Just imagine what it would be like if you yourself was in frisks shoes. And of course it was real. What would you do? Me personally I would have to stay with toriel. And if I was in a fight I would run. I’m a pacifist irl. Unless I was in a fight then im throwing hands
Cool small detail at 1:34:43 is that in every act so far, Kris was calling out for help, but for Noelle it says “YOU whispered Noelle’s name.” Noelle mentioned later on at 1:42:27 that while in her “dream” she heard a voice UNLIKE Kris’s. This just further nails in the fact that you and Kris are two different people
dont worry you cant mess up the run after berdly dies. none of the dialogue options matter after that. also you missed it but, if you check on lancer in your inventory during this route it'll say that he's asleep for the whole thing. nobody else knows what you did
My take on whether you're self defending or not: When you play Undertale for the first time, you aren't aware of what the full extent of your actions are, and you're meant to treat it like a regular rpg. It's only much later when you fully understand that dying and reloading isn't just a video game thing, in Undertale, it's a real part of the story, which changes the power dynamic severely. Suddenly, it's a lot harder to argue that killing the monsters in Undertale counts a self defense when they don't actually pose any harm to you. Even if they manage to kill you, you can just reset. Sans even asks you "if you have a special power, isn't it your responsibility to do the right thing?" You, as the player, will always be more powerful than any monster. You can come back to life, they can't unless you choose to reset the game. Do you think that's a fair assessment?
23:25 my friend recommended me Undertale. In my first run, i spared every monster in the ruins, but I killed Toriel. My friend clowned me for it, and I had to reset. Thank God he did tell me, honestly.
I wonder what direction toby will take with the next chapters, if you'll be able to manipulate more friends or if it's just noelle killing everyone and doing the dirty work for you. Excited to see.
In undertale I did kill monsters. I didn’t know about acting. In deltarune I was greeted with a friend, he told me not to fight so I listened. But if it was irl I would be so scared in deltarune. Until i trusted ralsei Plus I wouldn’t really kill in either game if it was irl. I don’t believe in fighting anymore. I just want peace. So I would try to run or talk my way out of it. Unless I knew they were a threat I would definitely fight back…
34:30 here you missed an interesting detail: after Noelle finished the puzzle Kris turned to you and his face had a smile. This bc his mouth and the grid fused, making it seem like Kris was smiling and that time. Maybe is just a coincidence, but knowing Toby Fox, im not so sure it is.
Nice to see you doing this kang, it keeps giving me goosebumba, now, i'd recommend doing a normal tru pacifist run but also getting all the pacifist endings until chapter 2, you missed some egg easter egg that could be linked to an important undertale character, and some other cool stuff that wil carry over (like onion san) So please try to make a new complte pacifist save run and get everything. There's differences.
The fact that when I played this and got this ending it was so creepy as Kris is just a psychopath and not caring what they would think. I can't wait for the rest of the chapters, it just so creepy one of the craziest ending I got, and scary.
my theory is that kris is just sort of in shock, and that's why they come off as creepy and unresponsive, because we, the player, are basically forcing them to turn noelle, their childhood friend, into a killer. after all, WE'RE the ones making all the choices, and can easily stop snowgrave at any time, but kris is basically just watching as we make terrible choices. definitely a creepy ending though
Susie says that Kris look like shit. Kris called for help, you whispered for Noelle. If Kris is down in berdly fight she will say that she still hears an voice. And the post cutscene were she tells that there's an voice unlike kris, and that they're acting strange, showed even in pacifist in various points like talking with Noelle, the tea, the sandwish, and all the susie interactions
Buddy, we're not in 2016, not another Chara situation please, Kris didn't do anything, YOU did, you pressed the specific sequence of buttons while knowing what would happen, it's your fault
as a Kriselle fan this is my favorite route. with the feedback the game gives me it suggests to me that this is the right way, Noelle being a masochist and seemingly seems to enjoy getting stronger, + all the interactions that seem romantic, worst part is that unless we kill Berdly the game doesn't seem to recognize all the work we do except that we can have the Thorn ring in our inventory, and Noelle doesn't consider any of this being a Nightmare up until that point, i think that if it wasn't for the situation as the pressure "Kris" puts her under i do believe she really enjoys her action in a rebelling way. although i believe this is the right route we ultimately don't know the consequences of it until earliest chapter three in which we can cheat in Noelle in to the party and use both Kris and Susie tea on her Edit: the "in Your Dream" or "..." Choice might mater since it's suggested that Noelle hears the players choice in the menu, so even if Kris can't say it Noelle might hear it when selected, but as most things, we don't know for certainty until later chapters
@@gristen look, i was going to let coments slide, i know my opinion on Snowgrave and Kriselle is hoter than the sun, but i never aluded to anything that murdering Berdly was part of her masochism, in fact i point out that that's there she seem to stop enjoying it if she do enjoy it all.

and when Kris downs (minus 0 hp) in Berdly's battle, Noelle says she can still hear a voice despite Kris being out of battle
Fun Fact:
Noelle's HP with thorn ring goes down and stops at exactly 55 every time. The reason for this is because 55 in roman numerals is "LV"
