Thanks, good video reminder of thinking about correct positioning. I would also be watching the junction to the right for a vehicle turning left out of it into my path without looking or giving way, though!

another good vid. Another good reason is if someone walks out from behid the van - there's a devon bikesafe vid, where the police rider could carry on been closer to parked cars, whilst a truck comes towards him, as he approaches the last vechile parked, a person walks out behind the last vehicle, no chance of near side view of the person, if he'd carried on rather than waiting, he'd have knocked them down, I'll find the vid and 'response' to it if it's ok

That was a two way street and as long as you have a good view and planty of time to get back in there's no problem with staying out for the view. Being out there also lets distant oncoming traffic know you are there before you move back in. Thanks.

good clip showing clearly what is achievable with correct positioning...by the way, its not a Range Rover, its a Discovery.

Thanks for that Mark, good video and good point there. Still can't help but cringe when I see riders on left bends staying on the white line after they've got the view round the bend and there are oncoming vehicles inches from them...shudder. Seems to happen a lot...or is it just me?

@CraigS625 ..After the first demo run you fell into place almost immediately Craig, you was an info sponge and soaked it all up in your stride. Looking forward to seeing your A606 follow-up run soon!

Be aware of cars emerging from side roads to the left. In my experience some people only looks right when turning right. Be ready to move over quickly if you're going to move so far over - hope that makes sense. Love the vids! We need more!

you are driving in a one way traffic it seems, thats why you can go far to the right to see what is in the far left, but what about the two way traffic, does it mean that we have to ride around the centre lines in two way road, which dont you think will be more dangerous than going at the corners ?

@diff22000 That's twice I've got that one wrong now!! lol. They're all the same to me, unneccessarily big and only 1 person in them at a time. ;-)
