    Thank you for bringing such topic to light CNA :) Love is Love, it has no judgement. Judge a person by their character, not their race, religion, skin colour, educational background or occupation.

    Interracial marriages have been common among Muslims in Singapore for decades.
    Both my grandmothers were the product of interracial marriages for example. So was my maternal grandfather.
    Interracial marriages between Malays and Indians, Malays and Arabs, Indians and Arabs are common among Singaporean Muslims for decades. Equally common are marriages between Malays with Chinese women who were adopted and brought up by Malay families.
    Sad therefore that Singapore thinks that this is a new phenomenon.

    What a well-done, realistic and nuanced view of what it is like for interracial couples. My parents were an interracial couple in the U.S. in the mid-1960's and my father's father disowned him permanently. But fortunately, his mother visited us several times and was very sweet. My mother's family was cool with it.

    Very interesting topic. Navigating a SG (Chinese) & Australian (Caucasian) marriage of 21yrs and seeing the similarities/struggles/joy.
    Living in Australia, following predominantly Eastern philosophies and diet. Adult children exhibiting the best of both cultures.
    I may be biased, but children of mixed ethnic heritage are beautiful and resilient. I am (unusually) not attracted to females of my own race (physically or psychologically).

      @Disenchanted Diversity Thank You for your comprehensive reply. I have considered all your valid points and whilst saying that "I will never mention this again" to avoid being labelled racist may seem defensive, I will try to explain my attraction.
      I am most interested in the spirit, ethics and intellect of a partner. Generally speaking, those qualities that I find desirable are embodied by Asian women so by extension, I find Asian women attractive. It is not their superficial beauty, it's the lifelong ingrained qualities of dedication to the family unit and filial piety along with loyalty and faithfulness to their partner.
      BTW, did your Chinese co-worker no understand that her Asian genetics would be dominant over her partner's recessive "Ginger" genes?
      I appreciated your knowledge and compassion in compiling such a lengthy and thoughtful reply.
      Kind regards,
      Ben.

    THIS TOPIC OF RACE AND INTERACIAL RELATIONSHIPS IS DEEP. I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS A CHILD ABOUT 11YEARS OLD MY SIBBLINGS, NEIGHBORS CHILDREN USED TO CALL ME NAMES LIKE TULUM STARGIRL AND BLACKIE ETC . THOSE CHILDREN WERE MORE THAN BLACK, THEY WERE VERY BLACK. .IT CAUSED ME TO WALK WITH MY HEAD DOWN UNTIL I FIGURED IT OUT. THEY SAW A LIGHT IN ME, THE STAR WHOM YOU SEE IN MOVIES. THEY RECOGNIZE THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THAT LIGHT. THEY WERE NEVER YOUNG PEOPLE WHO NEVER USED TO GO TO CHURCH AT ALL. I WAS ALWAYS ATTENDING CHURCH AND CONTINUE TO DO SO . I AM SAYING THAT MANY PEOPLE DON'T APPRECIATE THE TRUTH THAT GOD LOVES THEM. 💯 THAT IS A DEEP SPIRITUAL DISCONNECT. I STILL SEE SOME OR MOST OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO GREW UP IN MY TIME, SELFDISTRUCT. EVEV N THEIR CHILDREN ARE FALLING PREY TO SELFDISTRUCTION. GOD IS LOVE. LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS HE LOVES YOU AND YOU WILL NEVER BE DISRESPECTFUL TO OTHER HUMANS LIKE YOURSELF. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THOES PEOPLE'S HEART. ❤

I don't see how that is hard to believe when the population ratio it self spiralled out of balance in the 20th century? Of course there bound to be no contact at all for some. We were alot more colourful before independence until somebody decided to be the dominating one. Besides there were visible number of other races than the current 4. In the past, the mixed people simply end up creating a singular people group if they live in peace. For example, in ancient Japan there are three groups of people that make up the ancestry of the modern Japanese. Yayoi, Jōmon, and what is most likely Han Chinese.

    "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believe in Him should not perish but have eternal life." "The wages of sin is death (separation from a Holy God, spiritual death is to end up in hell to pay for your own sins) but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (God forgives anyone who accepts Jesus' sacrifice on the cross as a payment for their sins). Mary, buddha, saints, angels, fake gods cannot save you. "The message of the cross is foolishness to them who are perishing but to those who are being saved it is the power of God." God loves everyone but human beings are separated from God by their inherited sinful nature; we are all born as sinners therefore evil and corruption exists. God brings mankind back to Him through His Son Jesus, mankind makes their own religions and ways to go to God but God has made the One and ONLY way to Him by His Son who is God in flesh the Lord Jesus. Seek and pray for the truth, ask God for the truth and He will show you, please do not blindly believe anything out of fear, ultimately it's your soul that matters, Jesus loves you and Jesus saves souls.

    It's not really interracial if most are Asians of different ethnic groups and nationalities. Asian is the race. They're different ethnicities and possibly nationalities, etc. If it's black and white, black and Asian or Asian and white than that is interracial dating. East Asian and Indians dating are both of the Asian race but different ethnic groups, etc. Some people in 2022 still don't know the difference between race, ethnicity and nationality and get them confused, which is interesting because people can do Engineering, MBAs and other degrees but can't figure out the simple social construct regarding race. It's just people of Asian descent being biased against one another because one group might be dark, the culture might be different or just being ignorant due to a lack of understanding because he or she doesn't want to understand, etc. All in all, who gives a crap as long as they're good to one another and love one another and not dating just due to a group. The world has too many issues to be worried about who others date. They're billions of Indians from India and billions of Chinese, and I believe the women outnumber the men in those two countries. I can't stand prejudice people, and people being ignorant for no reason.

    • @WastedBananas

      Indians and Asians are not of the same race. How could you even say something that foolish? Race is based on PHYSICAL characteristics, of which they share almost none. Native Americans look more like Asians than most Indians do. We are our own separate and distinct race

    • @dr.migueltorrezedd8651
      @dr.migueltorrezedd8651 2 года назад +1

      @@WastedBananas so Indians from India are not considered south Asian anymore? Last time I checked every Indian from India I went to school with where of south Asian descent unless they were from Trinidad or Guyana, etc. But their motherland is still India unless we're getting scientific about their original origin. What are they considered than because all the rest of the people on the continent of Asia are mostly of the Asian race. Indians don't considered themselves of the black (Negroid) or white (Caucasoid) race so Asian is the only category not taken. If you didn't know Asian is a race and Indian is a ethnicity than that is a bit bizarre unless they don't teach social constructs there. Depends on the Native American tribe because Lumbee's don't look Asian at all. However, yes, some Native Americans/Indigenous/American Indians people do because science shows they might have come from Asia long ago, etc.

    • @WastedBananas
      @WastedBananas 2 года назад

      @@dr.migueltorrezedd8651 They are mostly a mixture of the Caucasoid and Australoid races. They just happen to inhabit Asia but they are CLEARLY not Mongoloids when you look at them. Technically, Arabs inhabit the western region of “Asia”, are they now “Asians” too? Of course not. What matters are your physical features when determining race not geography. And Indian is a nationality not an ethnicity. Ethnicities would be something like Punjabi or Tamil. Hope this helps.

    • @RetroBasementGamingAnime
      @RetroBasementGamingAnime 2 года назад +1

      @@WastedBananas Australoid are technically no longer considered a race and were bunched in with negroids, etc. Some Indians are classified as mongoloids depending on the location within India. The Caucasoid Indians as I mentioned earlier are mostly in northern India and most likely a product of when the Europeans inhabited certain parts of India.
      I can see that but most Indian people I have met would not agree concerning that. Filipinos have an interesting history as well. Of course not, Arabs are racially considered Caucasoids although some are Negroids depending on the country (some are a mixture of the two).

    • @WastedBananas
      @WastedBananas 2 года назад

      @@RetroBasementGamingAnime who said Australoid is no longer considered a race? They are, it’s just renamed to “Southern Eurasian” now.
      Yes, some (VERY few) Indians are Mongoloid, mostly in the Northeast. Other than that it’s not really common. Most of us are West Eurasian (Caucasoid) or South Eurasian (Australoid) or mixed.
      So if Arabs are not Asians why would we be? The only reason people say we are is geography but that applies to them too. The logic is not consistent. We are West/South Eurasian (Caucasoid/Australoid) hybrids.
