Hello Dear, first I'd like to give you my condolences of the passing of your mother. She sounds like a lovely lady. I have four children mind you they are adults now. 3 girls from my first marriage German Irish Canadian who passed away. My second husband Irish Canadian 1 son we have. All 4 of my children are very much loved by their parents, grandparents, uncles, Aunts and cousins. Because they are Canadian their experiences is in stark contrast to the experiences in the USA. When I try to explain to them what it was like for me growing up as a black girl in Florida it so foreign to them. They are very culturally sound. I was wondering do you have a close relationship with either side of your parents family or is it met with indifference? My email is mum.relax@gmail.com
Yes, some people are rude. But, I went to college with a friend whose mother is white, father black and she shared with me that her mother is a racist and for that she will never date a white man. She said her mother always only dated black men but when she was upset with them, they were ever dirty, degrading n word you could think of. That really threw me for a loop. I know of a few other similar stories. I say this to say there is no riding thr fence. Either you are a racist or you aren't. By no means does everyone fit in one mold though. Not everyone is like that.

Thank you so much for such a beautiful interview. You are an absolutely amazing listener allowing them to express themselves fully!!! Andrea and Derrick are such a great example of love, respect, class, and having God as a leader in life and marriage. 💕
I identify with this conversation as I have three sons who are all in interracial marriages, two to Caucasians and one to a Latina . Love is love! They grew up as a mixed family with half Caucasian and half black so the intermingling of cultures and races came naturally.
To be honest, lets get over this black & white thang when it comes to marriage. Its like very tiresome and I believe as an American race or color shouldn’t be a factor when it comes to long lasting love
After being divorced from an abusive narcissist AA, my son said to me, "why don't you consider another race(white). My sister is happily married to a WM and now this comes up on my list. A sign????
So many other factors that makes up a relationship other than race. True, because 28 years on with a person who looks different to me o the outside and from two different cultures: there is more to us than how we look outside. Love, respect, and so on....are the centre of life.
such a pleasant conversation and people! I have bi-racial children of latin and oriental origin. I am a white woman and am currently dating a black man so I have had quite a rich life of experiences with loving men of other races and it is really difficult for me to understand why people are so bothered by people dating/marrying outside their race when we all feel the same emotion-Love.
I find this conversation quite entertaining and interesting. This couple are two very intelligent persons and seems very much in Love with each other and are not bothered by anything anyone say or think..l pray and hope that their children will not face any obstacles they can't handle in their walks of life. God bless them and keep them together with cords that cannot be broken..
This interviewer...wow! This woman does not look white! I think he is the only one who thinks that. Many of us as black people know that black people come in all complexions and features. They are an attractive couple who seem to be quite solid. Any of us who have ever dated or married interracially know that color difference is obvious to most but it's the love between the two people that keesp you together. And yes, people in America do refer to biracial children as mixed. We as Americans, even black Americans, are not all just ignorantly referring to bi- or multi-racial kids as black.
You're right, she doesn't look white-- but the interviewer qualified his comment by saying that for us in the Caribbean... apparently there are islands that do consider her white. Perhaps the idea is that people who look like her appear more white than black..... Naturally this doesn't make their perception a fact, but it is theirs.
I don’t think the interviewer was good. He need to develop his skills. I know in the Turks and Caicos where Holly is from she is considered black, as she would any island in the Caribbean.

@@onepersonisthechanceandcha155 Trump is no where close to this handsome guy, First of all Trump can't even smile with that saggy face.
Wow...thank you so much for this wonderful interview. I am from Africa and my dear wife is from the Philippines. And listening to your interview with these biractial couple we were really touched and learnt a lot. We can also sense that your background is wonderful because you are a Christian. We encourage you to keep on doing this because within the line the Lord speaks to many couples and also in a way to this confused world that have allowed non-essential stuff to become essential to them. We shall keep enjoying your RUclips channel programs. In case you have the burden to interview us, we shall be available for that....Your program is very uplifting. Thank you so much and God bless you! We love you all!!!
