  • Wow these insects are really quite amazing! I had some macro fun using a standard canon 18-55mm kit lens with a lense reversal ring. Would definitely have got better results with a dedicated macro lense (like a Canon-MP-E-65mm costing @£1000) but as a cheap/free option this worked very well I think, even though the depth of field tolerance is between 2-3mm and the insects are less than a centimetre long! And it was windy too!!!!

You should remove word 'How' from this as you don't provide any tutorial or even any informations in the video description. Judging by the like ratio on your video, many people just felt click-baited by the title.

WOW! How useful! Super, way to go pal! Now I can take Macros. The fact that you learned how to do it and click bait people and then DONT SHOW how to do it amazes me.

He must have used a 58mm reversal ring to mount his 18-55mm kit lens backwards. You can find a 58mm reversal ring on amazon for like $3 - $12 a Much cheaper solutions for macro shooting, while still using your nice glass. You have to manually focus.
