Welcome to "Tales from Tuscany"!
We are Marisa and David, Australian expats now living part-time in Chianni Tuscany.
During the Global Pandemic, we decided to buy our Italian dream home, sight unseen and with no prior knowledge of the area.
This is our journey and we are taking you along with us!

We are on the last leg of our journey throughout Britain but really wanted to share some footage from Tuscany with you taken just before leaving, as well as renovation footage shot by my friend Fiona, during our absence!

I have just arrived back to a very, very warm Chianni but I really wanted to share what happened prior, during and right up until I arrived back! Luckily my gorgeous friend Fiona filmed our renovation updates for me, so here they are mixed in with a fabulous local wine tasting, and some other lovely bits and pieces! Can't wait to continue sharing our updates now that I'm back! Stay tuned 🥰🤗😘

I’m so glad you love Italy so much and yes, I love Greece too! I went there for a road trip with my parents when I was a teenager and it was amazing! I returned to Athens when older, for work but I’ve always wanted to return and visit the islands, so maybe one day when our renovations are complete, we will manage to return.

How Italians live during the days of Palio. How proud they are for their tradition ! If you have the chance my dear friend try to feel the atmosphere of Palio. It is something unique. Believe me. It takes place on the 16th of August each year.

@@user-bv4ih6bl4b oh thank you! No I’ve never been to the Palio because of the crowds but maybe one day! However, I have been to many amazing festivals over the years and I love them. Even here in Chianni we have some fabulous festas and Sagre which are wonderful traditions! I love it so much 🥰♥️🥰🇮🇹
